Think about adding a top layer of particle board on top of your tables. Also let the top extend over the other top to be able to clamp parts down. I used 3/4" particle board on my tables I used to build my RV7. Looking forward to following your build.
That’s a great tip… I thought about extending the overhang on the tops, but I like the thought of another layer. Thanks!
Congratulations. Its great fun. As someone who is over 1,000 documented hours into a 14A build I can tell you that you will have many hours of enjoyment and a few hours of sheer frustration. At the end of the process we will end up with incredible machines. Don't forget that there is a tremendous community out there for support which has been useful to me in saving time and money during the build. Looking forward to future videos on your process. BTW. Welcome to the "A" club. You will be getting a lot of flack from the tail dragger club. Nothing to be done. 😁
How many more hours until your RV is finished? I have no idea how many hours it takes.

An A model?!? Is it for your daughter? JUST KIDDING! I have Emp, Wing, and Fuse kits for my 14 and will be starting my build soon as well! Have fun!

A really enjoyable video - thanks. My dad (a pilot and A&P) built a Briegleb BG-12 sailplane in our garage. Finding the space to build an aircraft with a 50' wingspan took some planning! (Also - there's a typo in your title.)
Glad you liked it… thanks for catching the typo. I fixed it. Can’t believe no one else saw it lol. Yeah I’ll have to move it to a hangar before I attach the wings, but mine are much shorter that 50. That would be a challenge indeed.

Congratulations, I thought the delivery time would be much longer.
It originally was but a few people canceled their orders with the bankruptcy reorganization going on at Vans so I think that moved me up a little. Sounds like around 80 percent of people like me kept their orders though and I have complete faith in the company. It a solid company with an excellent product and loyal customer base, so they’ll be fine.
Very cool and exciting. What is your initial timeline guess to have it complete?
While a few people have completed some in about a year, I think a more realistic timeline is probably 3-5 years… I think that’s where most people end up, unless they are retired or have a lot of spare time and make building a full time job each day. I’ll have a better idea as I progress on the tail kit.
Are you retired where you can spend serious time building or will you be working evenings and weekends
Not retired, but I do get more days off than most people, so while I won’t get to work on it for little bits every day, I will have a lot of days throughout the month where I can work on it a lot…. But honestly I’m not in a huge hurry. I’m looking forward to the building process because I like building things.
