So we have been going here since 2008 we have a dog so this was great for us the dog room were on the ground floor .We have stayed up stairs as well , we did not see any people waling by like you said must have been a busy time? The restaurant was great for breakfast otherwise there were places in town .I walked with the dog all the way to Fisherman's wharf on the beach .The point of this place is the beach .Great views of dolphins swimming by in the restaurant in the morning The prices have gone up from around $200.00 per night to around $400.00 the seems like to much your call? The pool & hot are great at night around 8:00pm

Couldn't watch this, knowing how much they charge now. This used to be a hidden gem. For many years this was our go to place in Monterey - not that long ago, you could get a seaside view room, on a weekend, in summer, for $250-300. They were bought out, new owners slapped a new coat of paint on everything, changed the bedspreads from white to blue..... And doubled+ the prices from $300 to... $600 - $900 a night. Absolutely ridiculous. It's a nice place if you have cash to burn. Otherwise, find something half the price on Cannery Row or in Sand City, both are minutes away from here - you can always park in the public area next to Monterey Tides and use their beach... and pretend for the day your spending $800 a night.

It’s definitely not an inexpensive stay. Can’t beat that beach though!

It definitely varies on the price, like I’m going next week and it’s $550 for ocean view but the following weekend, it’s 1095 a night
