I don't think it's literally distilled water, in Indo we don't drink tap water, we usually buy bottled water so she might have confused that with distilled water

Since I remember in part of Italy where family didn’t drink tap water sparkling water was the default way to drink it.

Depends on the medication... With mine I can take up to 8 a day, but often take less depending on how I feel.
