A note on buying cotton (after 60 years of sewing) - cotton is treated with "sizing" to keep it flat and smooth - this totally washes out, so I recommend washing any cotton sheets or other cotton items before use. if you want your cotton items to last MUCH longer, never dry on hot as that literallty dries out the fibers, which then become brittle and break, then you get holes and rips. Even drying on permanent press, it is better to not dry until the items feel hot becauser that also means you have overdried the fibers. hope this is useful.

Honest question, how do we dry them then? I live in a climate which is below freezing half the year so hanging them to dry is not an option with a community laundry room. I need bone dry sheets that last 😬
@@mtlsuzanne. Part tumble dry till still damp but not hot and then use an electric dehumidifier in your house to dry them out thoroughly. We dont have a tumble drier (we live in the UK and a fair part of the year it is wet outside). We thoroughly spin our clothes and bedding then either dry outside in summer/autumn and spring (if dry - we have biopolar weather so you put stuff out and then it rains!) and in winter we dry indoors (in bathroom and dining room). The bathroom has an extractor fan and the dining room has a dehumidifier running when we are drying clothes. We dont have the room for a drier and dont want a combi one due to fire risks and also running an energy efficient dehumidifier is cheaper than running a drier. Driers are not allowed in bathrooms in the UK unless hard wired or over 2 metres away from the tap/shower.
I love my waterbed with an eggshell foam and a 4cm deep cooling gel mattress protector on top. I found after my divorce I haven’t been able to sleep in the main bedroom so I’m moving to a smaller room. I changed out the bedding too. I’ve painted my bedhead and added a foam piece with removable covers so I can wash them and change the colour. I made a skinny bedside table on castors so I can move it out easily when changing the sheets. I’m hanging art and new curtains in there too. I made a beautiful functional desk with shelves underneath for the modem, etc. I got a TV hung so the cords are hidden in the wall. I painted my chest of drawers and made them pretty. They’re in the wardrobe space as I took off the doors and painted the room. I even fixed the stuck window. First decorated bedroom since I was a teen. So excited.

@@katrinaphipps8681 Waterbeds are the best. The mattress never needs replacing and you can adjust the water level as needed. I had one as a teen but with the foam mats on top, this one has been taken to another level of heaven. The best part is they are so kind to sore shoulders or hips and are lovely to stretch or rock your back out on in the morning. I’ve heard horrible reviews from people who have slept on ones without the right set up like no wool underblanket so they were freezing during the night, etc. Once I got this bed I stopped tossing and turning all night and started sleeping better. Can’t praise them enough!

thank you!!!! watching you I suddenly realized a better arrangement for my cords (computer charger, phone charger, headphone power cord. PS - for those for whom cotton is not quite cool enough, linen (made from flax plant) is the coolest fiber (in my experience).
I have never heard of mattress vacuums! Now I need to get one ASAP, or I may never sleep on my bed again. I use a hand vac but … I need to see the “disgusting in the best way”experience
Hahaahh! Yes, definitely give it a try. People have told me their dysons are strong enough, but I haven’t had that experience! Happy cleaning ☺️👏🏽.

In late 2018 my hubby and I moved states for his job, we got new beds, we kept shopping and we decided we would splurge and get temperpedic beds, we did the twinXL so we each got the bed we wanted and the sales people talked us (not hard to do when we were trying the beds) into the adjustable bases, omg! We have 0 regrets in splurging for these beds. We sleep so much better. - one thing we have but I didn’t see on your list is wifi plugs. We put our lights on our lamps and it’s great, we don’t have to get up if we want to turn the lights on or off. Not all our lamps are next to our beds so it’s awesome.
I want everything in this video. Sigh. Budget time! But first the vacuum!

Hi Kiva! Great video 👌🏾I agree with you regarding the adjustable base! I absolutely love mine. I also love the designated water bottle! I drink so much more water having my Stanley on my night stand. I don’t mind room temperature water but having ice cold water all the time is not a bad thing. This was one of my favorite videos because I’m home a lot and am loving the coziness of my bedroom. *Bedroom Scent* . I love a lavender essential oil blend, linen spray, and use Downy Calm for my bedlinens only. The Woolzies Calming Slip mist is my favorite for bed linens.

My adjustable bed is the BEST investment I made! Bought about 3 years ago and my love for it has only grown each night since! The problem now is that I can't sleep like this anywhere else when I travel!

Agree with you on the air purifier. I definitely sleep better if I run it in the evening before I go to bed. Especially if I have opened the window in the day to recycle the house air - we dont have HVAC in the UK - just central heating or window air!

As someone who has come out a a depression bout being bed bound for about two months, this bed is not it lol. Another reason to stay in bed. Also psychologically it’s good to keep bedtime just for sleep/frisky activities because when you’re used to using your phone or watching in bed it can be hard to then sleep in bed
