- GoSouth - The Patagonia Ride. Three weeks of riding. 5.700 km. The most wanted adventure motorcycle in the world - BMW R1250GS Adventure. Starting with the volcanoes in the Araucania, then crossing the "Ruta de los Siete Lagos", followed by the amazing "Carretera Austral". And, of course, some other great things Patagonia has to offer - such as the Torres del Paine or the Perito Moreno glacier.
As for the big BMW R1250GS Adventure? The best motorcycle for this trip.

Rip Cristian ,I’m really really gutted with this sad news this week, loved your videos 😔, my condolences to family and friends 🍀
what happened to him 🥲 ?
@@klauspeters7434 he sadly passed away after a bad accident on his Gs.
@@On2WheelswithDennis so SAD 😭
@@On2WheelswithDennis I am sorry. I am new to this channel but who is Christian?
Really sad. Strength to his buddy and motor friend (I don't know his name)
Să-i fie țărâna ușoară Cristian. Smiling, Laughing & always giving us the straight truth on everything Moto. I will miss u my brother.
These guys are the best adventure riders and the best cinematographers on RUclips.
Thanks for the video!!!!
Gracias desde Madrid
Amazing save at 2:09!
Fantastic..
Fantastic rider
Looked like a OH SHIT. moment for sure !!!😄😄😄😄😄😎😎😎😎😎🍺🍺🍺🍺
I’m just amazed of the work, effort and passion that Cristian put in the making of this video. His videos will inspire fellow riders forever. In remember of Cristian Predoi. Rest in peace.
So sad and shocked to hear about your passing. 🥲R.I.P. Cristian. This was such an inspirational trip you brought to us. Hope to have the opportunity one day to do a similar trip on my own with my BMW GSA. My condolences to your family and friends. One of the best, enthusiastic and emotional motorcycle journalist.
Ride on…..and Cheers from Tokyo, Japan.
Allways is a delight to follow you in your trips. You put so much emotion in your descriptions that makes us share it with you. Carretera Austral is always in the top 3 best rides in the world from the expert riders. You properly compared it with the Alps, and I was happy to see that you noticed that practically, there is no speed limit. Great that you had a GS and not a scooter.
Wow, what a trip!👍👍
Great vlog man! It would be nice to see some of the local food, places you stayed and behind the scenes besides the riding experience
One of the best testr ride you ever made !! wish i was with you 😂
This guy has it down to a science!
I was looking for tire reviews and ended here. What an amazing journey you had! i followed your track on google earth during the video. Realy something one would never forget. :) thanks for sharing your experience.
Just purchased the RainLock jacket because of you! 👍🏻
Make Life a Ride! Great video
Very nice video!
Take into account that riding over volcano ashes can be disastrous for the engine and other parts of the bike. They have abrasive and corrosion properties. I hope your bike wasn't damaged after the trip. (Not a big problem if you're patronized by BMW)
It's not my bike. It's BMW's bike. :)) The bike was just ok. But honestly, I prefer capturing a great moment. Two years ago I entered the Salar d'Uyuni on my bike. I was flooded and I got so much salt on the bike that it was very difficult to get it down at the carwash. But the bike had no problems and it's still running - 70,000 kms so far (2015 R1200GS)
Fantastic footage. I'm a R1200GSA owner/rider. Just an opinion-I think you'd be better off with a clear front windscreen. Your tinted screen is distracting and blocks out a lot of detail. Keep up the good work.
What a great yourney.
I love your Videos. Thumbs up.👍
As always awsome scenery and quality, love your videos :-)
Your video are amazing. Thanks.
Awesome.
Happy birthday
Hey man, what jacket do you wear under your red shell? I feel like you should do moto gear reviews too. Not much to read on BMW stuff.
It's the BMW Rally gear.
@@DriveMagRiders Ty!
Great video. I’m trying to capture some scenic ride in my country Costa Rica, and I wondering what kind of drone is that, you probably already test all and have the right model for that kind of roads.
Thanks. I am using a Mavic 2 Pro
Simply bad-ass.
It's a fantastic adventure. Is it difficult to find gasoline in these places?
Dont you find the knobby tires uncomfortable on the nice speedway roads?
happy birthday to u,,
I thought you were going to tell us more about riding in volcanic ash, but then - nothing. Is it like sand but firmer, more confidence inspiring?
Chris Sanford yes, it's like sand, but firmer. It has different sections - some sections where you can speed up to 100 kph safely, some of them quite dangerous - it's easy to loose the front. It's a bit like skiing in the powder.
gorgeous footage
Fantastic
Hi man! Amazing views and nice bike handling as well👌👍 is this bike with factory lowered? If so how you evaluate the handling and ground clearance? Is it enough if not to go to volcano dust? 😊
I want a motor like this very very very beautiful
I booked a flight to Patagonia and Peru before crisis for September
My flight cancelled because of covid 19
de unde esti?
Hi, does someone has info about shiping motorbikes from EU? kind regards
how tall are you bro?
Oh my God, I just watched this and now I read that Christian has passed. What terrible news. I was all ready to write about how this was one of the best things I have ever seen in my life and how his spirit is just so outgoing and adventurous and kind. I too am gutted by this news. I actually have tears in my eyes right now. What an amazing life he had. RIP and I hope you have open roads wherever you are.....
Christian, I'm so devastated to hear of your passing. Your videos and adventures lit the fire in my heart to travel, explore and experience this amazing world. A life taken way too soon, a smile that will never be forgotten and an adventure that will live longer than anyone. You will be forever missed . Ride safe mate.
This is so sad 😢😢😢😢 i didnt know he passed away after he stopped posting his videos on his youtube channel i really enjoyed his travels he is such a kind and spontaneous guy may God bless him and take care of him.
Can you tell me how he died?
Loved your videos, Cristian. You were so passionate about riding and it showed in all your reviews. You paid attention to detail but never lost focus on what motorcycles mean in the greater scheme of things. And you had a great sense of humor. During this crazy pandemic we all lived vicariously through your wonderful adventures and road trips. RIP brother.
This is almost like a GS promo showing all the TFT functions (navigation, music), cruise control and its adventure/offroad capabilities.
As a GS owner, I can 100% relate :D
0:37 "I'm sitting next to a very beautiful........BIKE!" :)
Looks like BMW treating you well; love the simplicity of production and great sceneries, have to watch it again w my wife when she got home, love it, cheers from Colorado, V!
Phi, Noraly was already there.
Just joking ;)
That is true ! And like more others
Norally is the best 😍
Noraly made it even further South
I completely abandoned traditional television for movies like this one. This is what I love and it keeps me alive while threatening him
The same goes for me !
It has come the point that i just "thumps up" your videos before i press play! :)
The drone does great job, I cannot imagine such a trip without it ! I liked the way you sticked it to the tank. Greetings !
Stuck?
I rode from Portland to Ushuaia in 2017, your video quality is amazing, I could learn a lot from you!
Portland, like, Portland Oregon?!
Cool trip! Of you could attach a map of the route, that will be awesome!
True that would be great
+1 on a map request

Hi. I posted my answer directly in the main part. Take a look and you will have a notion about the map.

@2:07 - wow! lucky lucky - anyway nice video - but guys pls publish it in 4K, not low-res 1080p... thanks

You speak at least three languages. Impressive.
Minute 21:50….do you know why is so restrictied?....because a few years ago, an idiot turist burned half the park (15.000 hectares burned) and almost all of the millenial trees of the park when trying to make a fire. Better to have it restricted than not to have it at all.
Hi Master!!!, I saw it while I was on my way to Futaleufú on Argentina's highway 40, Happy birthday and an honor to have it here in my country Chile
My sincere condolences to family & friends.
I must say that watching Christian via RUclips was, and continues to be, a huge inspiration for the love of motorcycling and adventure. This video in particular has impacted me immensely - with his zest for life and discovery. All of our thoughts and prayers are with him. We will never forget - and we say Thank You for everything you have shared with us.
Christian, your spirit is alive and well with everyone who has known you.......

What a beautiful tour. Yes it's not the destination but the adventure. BMW GSA the long way home. Thanks for sharing sir.

Congrats on another top notch production. Been a fan of DriveMag Riders from way back. "Jeeze"....how to start a video with a real bum clencher. Holy cow how you stayed on was a miracle. Just one niggle, was a pity the tinted visor was smack in the middle of the picture. A clear one next time please. Look forward to your next ride.
Brilliant! 👍🏻 Did you come across Itchy Boots on her travels? 😁
Thanks. No. She was north of Santiago when I got to Chile :)
First LIKE, then I watch the video.
Now after watching the video, I have 2 questions:
1. where is the other LIKE button?
2. did you meet "Itchy Boots", because you seem to have been on the same roads at the same time?
Thank you so much. No, unfortunately she was North of Santiago when I arrived there. :(
@@DriveMagRiders No, thank you.
We need to protect this place and others like it or they will become giant Disney Land! It is such a beautiful part of the world to visit.............I was there on my bike many years ago and I am glad that you got see it too.. Great video by the way. Cheers
The top of DriveMag Riders video: absolutely stunning! Wonderful, and you are very nice and funny, that's a great gift!
4% drone battery @ 2.1km away + dropped your phone too? @ 2:26 - that's a long walk in the steep mountains... fun times - all part of the adventure
Very Nice Trip!!!
From wich brand is the red Jacket you are wearing in the video?
Hello. Thanks. It's BMW.
Beautiful! Not only the landscape, but the video is super high quality. Keep up the good work, and if you ever come to Spain let me know and I'll show you around.
I enjoyed the video, but filming through your windscreen really detracted from what would otherwise have been a great video.
God I'm jealous to everyone who can take this trip and have a buddy with him.
How did you bring your motorbike from Europe to Chile and back from Ushuaia? ... that was an amazing trip ... congratulations!
There are some shipping companies in Poland.
I loved the video as with most of your adventures. But...the dark windscreen really killed some great scenery. You need to raise the camera or dump the dark windscreen. I do love your work though.
Keep that in mind. No dark screens from now on.
Your momentary video is so beautiful and wonderful. Thank you for the great video of the volcanic area. From South Korean RUclipsr Woongkham.
Great adventure, congratulations! Beautiful views and great material. For 2 days I have been a happy owner of 1250gs :)
Brilliant. I have been thinking of doing this trip as well. You have just given me the motivation to complete that dream. Please do post more detailed videos of this trip. I am sure you have hours of video footage.
Realmente fantástico todo el recorrido... Y que mejor manera de pasar tu cumpleaños en ese volcán... Genial!!! Muchas pero muchas gracias por las imágenes!!
Really good photography. Really spectacular views. If you enjoy travel adventure with spectacular scenery this is a must see video. It is so good. .... To the production crew - a BIG THUMBS UP!
Thanks. The production "crew" is just me and Adi Popescu - the video editor back home.
@@DriveMagRiders There is more to your job than meets the eye. Not only do have to know how to ride, you have to have to know computers, software and creative production. This was very well done.
i can't imagine what a feeling when riding in the rain at beautiful landscape volcano, it must be very great :D
Awesome journey. That was a Happy Birthday!
Beautiful trip and very nice video. Greetings from Chile!

Absolutely LOVED this video, what an amazing trip. I love the end comment "I have to go home now" - like he just got a call from his Mum!
I watched this when it was first published but it popped up on my I-pad so I watched it again. This really was Cristian at his best! I already commented about Cristians passing on his new channel but watching this once again makes me feel emotional. 🇬🇧🏍
Absolutely a terrific video. Thanks for sharing your experience with us. I’m an avid GS Adventure rider and your videos are always truly inspiring...now go home (just kidding) like you said at El Fin!

Amazing and wonderful trip, thanks for sharing. What is the dark smoke windshield you have installed on the GSA?
I thought it looks cool. It's BMW.

uaaau, just a great amazing video again! You are very inspirative, doing a great job for all of us :-) You could also go for a trip to more closer countries, e.g. central Europe, also amazing places, not so well known and easily reachable. Although with speed cameras :-)
