The "Why" concept created a total paradigm shift in my life. I have started a franchise development company based on the idea!!

"If we don't blow up our business, then someone else will." "Our Why's are fully formed probably by the time we're in our late teams...find it by going backwards." "The cost of leadership is self interest." - Great interview, Scott.

I love to see that their are leaders that love to pass on the encouragement to others to strive to be their best to become a person that has passion & beliefs to know the Why's. I loved his stories of people that made it a happy story of the people that really made it, and why, This is an awesome video for both young men going forward, and caring about others as they move on, Great work guy's Great job...

It hurts to see such bad in this world, and the location in the " Cradle Of Civilzation." this is a story that should be told. I cannot complain. To hear your words of living with distruction all around you, and being a prisoner in Iran the stories of what you must have lived through is uncomprehinsible,
It saddens me to see & hear of such awful things going on why do men have war, I ask & get no answer, who knows why, but it is so inhumaine. Now you request is not clear in my mind yet, if you can break it down to whom I send an email to isn't clear to me, I have not a clue why an email from me would do any good, they don't know me, I am sure of that, so please explain that to me as well, yes if it would be good for me to do this & legal I would love to of course for humanitarian reasons & of course for you my friend. I am sorry that you have had to live your life like this, but I'm sure that God is watching over all his people. Please give me more details. One thing , I can't chat where I am at, Please let me know. I'll be backtomorrow to check, God Bless you & yours. My prayers will be for you all.

Great interview and powerful. This WHY ! way of approaching the business model and life, would serve us better given the antipathy towards our CEOs and politicians currently. Keep it up!

A bit of clarification on the Xerox visit. It was the Xerox PARC visit that inspired the Apple Lisa. Lisa was really the first iteration of the Macintosh and incorporated the mouse, windows, and typography capabilities that would be refined down to the Mac which was targeted at consumers rather than businesses. In fact, once the Mac was launched the Lisa was later rebranded as the Macintosh XL.

All people and entities have to think long term, and not just short term if they want to do well. Short term pain sustained to achieve a long term goal leads to long term success, while only doing what feels good now inevitably leads to long term failure.
This is why in the West we do not have leaders in politics, and why nothing ever seems to get fixed. Every time a crisis comes up due to corrupt/stupid management, the problem is never confronted. Instead, the decision is always to kick the can, delay the inevitable, and put a band aid on it to get short term symptomatic relief. Meanwhile, the problems just grow and fester until they inevitably explode again.
As an example when the markets blew up in 2000 and 2008 due to years of built up mis-allocation of capital caused by market distorting excessively low interest rates, various government financial backstops, and similar poor policies, what did the government do? Go thru the pain of letting the market get rid of these distortions? No. The government simply did more of the same, with even lower interest rates, rewarding the corrupt incompetent banks with bailouts, giving the FED even more power, and generally re-entrenching the same destructive elements that caused the crisis. No wonder that 6 years later our economy continues to drag itself along.

If you go to Aish.com and you look at the 48 ways of Noah Weinberg you see that knowing yourself and asking the why you do what you do question is in way 4 . It is not that new....

I like Sinek thoughts but what bothers me everytime, is that he brings Apple as the only example and focused on it too much, don't get me wrong, I like Apple too, but this is too ridiculous to always bring the same example with too much emphasis while in my opinion it's not that unique..

Is not true .The result is coming with single acción ,with any idea will give you result.
