I’ve been studying English for the last 15 years . My favorite resource has been BBC learning English , a prolific media that helps many people to learn English worldwide today. And guest what ? Last year I took my academic IELTS exam and I’ve got a 7.0 band! Hopefully, this year I’m going to study in the UK. Thanks BBC, all you folks are more than an inspiration.
This is my first day at BBC learning English (1) TAKEDOWN::: Removal of something from the internet or a defeat . (2) PROLIFIC ::: Producing a lot of something . (3) INFAMOUS::: Famous but for negative reason.
I'm very surprised with the word "infamous" which means famous in a negative way. But without your explanation, I thought it means "not famous". Thanks again for your video.
This is an amazing chanel to learn English. You guys help me a lot to improve my Eglish speaking, listening and vocabulary. Congrats BBC Learning English!
Thanks for this review. Here's specifically some of the things which were more useful for me personally (even though the whole video was helpful)- 1. I didn't know that takedown can also mean strong criticism. That's interesting. But now I know! 😁 2. I used to think prolific means significant but I learned the more accurate definition that it means someone or something producing a lot of something. 3. I learned that the stress falls on "in" for the words starting with that prefix. Apart from this, the friendly jesting between you two was cool too. And I love your British accent! Peace 🕊️
Hi, This is very useful. Thank you. Resilience how can we use this? what is meant for cyber Resiliency? I found Resilience means flexibility/Elasticity etc...
