We were half way to Moab in Kayente when we found out Moab is shut down. All campgrounds, hotels, restaurants. We are now attempting to get to Red Bay, AL for warranty work and to reposition for our Summer trip around the East. We have state park and private RV parks booked out through Labor Day starting in May. Not sure what we’ll do if there is a national shutdown of all private RV Parks. They just want to restrict people from traveling if they do this. They haven’t thought about full timers. Last I read was Texas State Parks are open but that could change any time.
I think were going to see most public services like DMV shutting down to protect people. I saw where some states were automatically extending auto registrations for a couple of months.
For those of you whom would rather camp in a park with hookups, if you're in northern California or southern Oregon, Quigley's Station can open. www.quigleysstation.com Most important, no matter where you decide to park, be safe, stay healthy and have fun!
One reason the campgrounds are closing is because local hospitals do not have facilities if the virus breaks out at the campground. They barely if at all can acomadate the locals. Everyone need to go to their home state or with someone else and hunker down in place.
Good point Tammie. I just heard from another sub that they closed the county in Utah that I would have gone to with the area around Moab closed. I suspected that was going to happen. That's why I am staying put! Thanks for watching!
It would make sense for BLM, National Forest, etc., to temporarily eliminate their 14-day max stay requirement. It would allow more people to spread out and boondock for longer periods.
I totally agree. If this drags on for more than a month I have some spots I am going to go that are much cooler than Tucson..as long as I can still move between states...
Hope you enjoyed your St. Patrick’s Day TR... Jamison good for Spanish Coffee!
Or Ice...I always say four fingers and 5 rocks...

It's a very fluid situation right now. I'm staying here for another month at least!
Can't wait to see the disco ball install. Now lets see, RGB lights, disco balls and orange shag carpet, a new trend in RVS.
Ceiling is too low for a proper disco ball! Never been known as a trend setter...
What!? Closing the primitive CGs but not the RV CGs? Bizarre. So glad you've found somewhere to stay.
Crazy for sure. Yep staying at my Winter Quarters for at least another month.
DMV IS CLOSED HERE IN VIRGINIA
