    I will never purchase an HP again. After countless time with HP support they could not fix the connection issue...

      I bought one last year.It worked fine.When I moved to another city I couldn't connect to wifi.Took it in and left it at Best Buy.They fixed apparently.I got home and it won't work again.

    In literally every troubleshoot HP puts out they talk about the step of holding down the cancel and network buttons until the power light (or wireless light) blinks. This never happens on my Officejet 6000 Wireless, and I also don't have an HP printer with a display...so what are those of us who have printers that have neither of these options supposed to do?
    More than that, after much wrangling with it, my USB port no longer works with the printer, only the ethernet port. So, I can't print wirelessly or through the USB, now. Only the Ethernet cable, when just a few days ago, I could print from either of the three options.

    Purchased 30 of these and thought they fixed the glitches from the earlier version. No there are even more. Never again. HP must stand for Hardly Prints

      "Hardly Prints"=Accurate. We've gone through three different HP models and they are completely unreliable for wifi printing on Windows devices. Work fine with Apple. Unfortunately, 90% of my work needs to happen in Windows. Never again with HP printers.

    At this point,I choose to return the printer.Shouldn't be this hard to set up

    Ok, enough is enough, I'm returning my Smart Tank Plus 655. Spent hours trying to set it up for wireless print (windows 10) - without success. The printer is connected to the wifi network, but printing over wifi is impossible. Tried all the troubleshooting tips I could find, but none worked. There clearly is an issue with HP printers in general, as evidenced by the many complaints and (not-working) troubleshooting tips on the web. In a good product, there shouldn't be trouble to shoot in the first place. Will buy a Canon printer now.

      I've just bought a new Envy 6430e thinking the issues as you have mentioned will be resolved. 3 hours and still counting, my computer can't connect or find the new printer.

      I think it may be you with the problem. I have had numerous HP Printers with no issues. Be patient, you will get it. Actually I am talking to myself. What they need is a PERSON TO TALK TO. FIVE MINUTES I NEED

    I've been trying for hours , my printer doesn't connect to internet when I set it up manually. When i try to reconfigure it from the hp app, it says that my printer doesn't support wireless networks.

    The most irritating part of wireless HP printers is when I was trying to make simple copies, it suddenly gave me an error copy that I needed to connect the damn printer to a wifi connection, but then when you try to install the app to ur phone it won't even load or install anymore. Don't buy any HP printers, specially wireless ones.

    A millions thanks to you and Congratulations is not enough to express my gratitude for solving my problem.. I am totally unsatisfied with the Hp Smart app and how complicated it is to get things online and working. I am no tech guy but I am quite good with computers in a general sense. I am the kind of person that office secretaries might call when the IT fellows are too busy to help. Installing went well but creating an HP account cost valuable hours at work and then the printer appeared offline. Had to make my way back to the office and with the help of your video finally solved the problem. thanks again great job

      So, I am a 68yo woman...NOT tech savvy at all. My sister (78yo!) just gave me a cell phone recently. I do not have a sim card yet...I HATE CHANGE...I want my 20yo landline and CABLE tv back!!! Did I mention I HATE CHANGE! My cable bill was about $267 a month, without any channels like HBO, SHOWTIME, etc, etc. So, I let them disconnect me. They say I owe them $600+ so they will be getting paid off as I can. Now, I am trying to figure out streaming...where to change my Wi-Fi to...It literally brings me to tears. So, that is my Sunday...Oh!, what I got on here for was to see if you wanna come on over (I'll put on a chicken) and get my dang printer back online so I can print? I promise I am NOT as crazy as I sound! Sorry, I am just being silly because if I do not laugh I will be crying again. To ALL of you, take care and God bless you and the USA...

      @@HPSupport I think your printer is not customer friendly. I have set up my wireless printer seven times for one printer on two different items. When I said it up through my mobile phone it worked one time without me having to reset it again. I said it up on my computer and it has never printed out. And for you to be a multi-billionaire company your company should just offer us the printer cord. I should not have to print out a piece of paper everyday to get a password to my printer that only lasts 2 minutes. That is annoying anda waste of paper. Just to print wirelessly.I stop trying to do wirelessly on your printer and just purchase a $40 cord so I can just plug my laptop up to it and print. I don't have any problems with that. I would have returned my printer back to the store, if we were not in a pandemic and there's no printer in the stores. because everyone is working from home. I end up purchasing another Epson and a Canon and I don't have that problem the Epson. I downloaded the Epson app to my phone and my laptop prints with no problem. I don't have to ask the printer to print a code the last 2 minutes. the Canon I had to return because it did the same thing your printer did . Your company need to upgrade your system to either a figure out a simpler way to set up a printer instead of sending you bull crap instructions. the printer instruction didn't work. I had to watch three different videos on RUclips to get my printer to print wirelessly and those videos stated that everyday you have to ask the printer to give you a password and then set up your printer for the day. this is redundant. You are wasting my ink and you wasting my paper to print a six digit code so I can hook up my printer. when you can just give me a cord for $40.

    It's asking for a WPS PIN I've been able to print out two different pronounce and neither one of them has the WPS pin numbers that will work

    Followed the video. Tried it all multiple times. Nothing works for a longterm solution. HP printers just suck for wifi printing on Windows machines. This is our third MFP model. They all print fine at first but then quickly degrade to where they start printing sporadically and then eventually rarely. It's a battle to get anything to print from any of our Windows machines. Our Apple products print flawlessly every time. Unfortunately, most of my work needs to happen on Windows devices. So I have to move all my files to my Mac or iPhone to print. Same problems all our Windows devices. Total pain! I will NEVER buy another HP printer again! And don't even get me started on the HP "Smart" app that requires a login to setup and troubleshoot a printer on Windows. Who designed that crap?

    How do I stop my HP 9025e Printer from demanding I connect to the internet - Now it won’t even print and I don’t use this printer on the network or internet. It won’t print now at all, I don’t use Smart Ink at all. It won’t even copy or scan.

    Still trying after a solid week of working on this problem. Printer starts, wireless light flashes for a few seconds, goes off and the number 79 appears in the display. This is a model M234sdwe.

      @@HPSupport Thanks for the help. Unforftunately, all of them require an internet connection. That ismy problem; the wireless connection is non-existent. It just shows the number 79. I can't scroll or do anything else. I would like to return this printer or receive warranty service.

    Relative has me troubleshooting HP 9015E not fully installing because printer does not complete registering. Have spent 4 days on phone with HP support. Printer does print and scans only using the PC app, not with HP Smart. Tried to install the complete 9015 sw but tech said it was already installed. Could it be that HP Smart is already installed on a profile and am trying to re-install printer on wrong profile (#2, the profile the relative has asked me to use)? Obviously, I am not familiar with profiles and how programs operate between Wins profiles. OS Win 10
    Additional info. Short story. Relative known to use two profiles on PC when using Win 8. Now upgraded to 10. 9015e had been fully functioning for months on Win 10 before HP and I had to recently get involved. Printer would not print or scan. 9015e has repeatedly been (re)installed by HP through remote desktop on profile (call it #2 profile, possibly wron one) while I watched. After 4 days, I can only assume 9015e is fully functioning on #1 profile and we've been working on wrong profile this whole time. Again, not my PC, unfamiliar with Win 10, profiles - and how they can affect program installations.

    My printer is showing 'didnt connect to the wifi''. But my mobile wifi is on and connected to the printer....

    Unbelievable. Buy a printer that's supposed to be easy to set up, yet two days and over 6 hours of hair pulling later, including being passed around by customer service, and I'm no closer to being able to print from either my phone or my desktop computer. Would it be so hard to include a USB cable with the printer? Never had a problem connecting wireless devices with my router before, this so-called HPSmart isn't looking so smart right now. First printer I've ever purchased this complicated to get set up and unable to use right out of the box. Ridiculous is what it is.

    Hi my hp printer doesn't print pages wireless it says paper jammed tho when I check there isn't any paper jammed??? And also shows blocked out of paper when there is paper I'm sure I'm inserting the paper correctly we also called hp printer service but they fixed it and then the next day the same problem.

    Absolute CRAP printers. Lost 3 hours trying to connect my printer to the WIFI (we switched modem). After one/hour one laptop worked, the other one (mine) impossible. So just because the internet changed we can't use the printer anymore!!! HOW RIDICULOUS.. tried everything ... smart app, the double tap, single tap on WiFi, reinstalling software, drivers etc NOTHING. An absolute disgrace and the last time I bought HP. - > CANON I'm coming back!!!

    My HP Envy 6000 was saying offline. Normally I just unplug it and restart it and it will print. This time it did not after several attempts. I removed the printer and tried to reinstall it, but now my windows 10 laptop is not recognizing it! I have tried several things and nothing is working! This printer is less than a year old. I am very upset about this and have no idea what to do. My printer information page is saying my printer is not connected to a network. I have tried to hold down the little internet button on the back but it just flashes a purple light and does nothing. I need help! This shouldn't be happening after only 8 months!! Have the same internet and connection for the last 4 years, same computer, Nothing has changed. I don't understand why it goes offline and now it is not connecting to the network/internet. I am very frustrated, spent over 3 hrs messing with this and still have no idea what the hell is wrong!

      @@HPSupport I figured it out MYSELF! You all are disappointing and unacceptable! First off, your products are crap. I have been purchasing your products, laptops and printers for over 10 years. Every newer option seems to become less quality driven, more expensive, and more complicated!! As far as the information you provided, you DID NOT listen to what I was expressing or my questions! You linked information on what to do if the printer was offline! My printer was not just offline it was not registering with my WIFI. In turn my HP Windows laptop DID NOT recognize it, neither did my HP SMART APP! What you should have sent me was instructions on how to reset my WIFI password in the application and then proceed! This printer has no buttons on the panel. Everything is done via the app. This is confusing because my app was telling me the printer was there but there was no option to reset WIFI password! I uninstalled/reinstalled the application to clear my info, and then went on to install printer once it picked it up as if I was installing a new printer. It found the printer and allowed me to reset password! Then I was able to proceed and print! For one, this printer is 8 months old. IT SHOULD NOT BE going offline all the time! And two, when I ask for help I should be given the correct instructions for my situation, if not a phone number to contact your techs. Neither were given! I am leaving the instructions up here for others who may need help! Poor customer service, poor products. I am done with your company!

      If prompted for a password, type 12345678. This is the default password to log in. If you created a custom password and do not remember it, go to your printer to get the password. Press the Wireless and Information buttons at the same time.

      @@HPSupport I'm not sure why, but my Envy 7900e would not "find" any network. It was working fine the day before. I ended up doing a factory restore and it fixed the problem. It's working fine now.

I did eventually resolve the problem, but it cost me an hour of my time (Print and scan doctor didn't solve the problem, I had to print off the wi-fi settings from the printer to find the issue.) To have a wi-fi only printer with no screen, and no ability to edit the wi-fi settings directly on the printer was a very, very bad idea. Just put a USB socket on it next time!
