    If you want to transfer directly to the BTS Sukhumvit line don’t get off at Makasan.
    Get off at the last station - Phaya Thai and you go downstairs straight onto the BTS.

    • @SABAI15
      @SABAI15 Год назад +2

      Ive never done it that way, Ive always either been picked up from Makhasan station or stayed in the Makhasan area. but I assume continuing on to Phaya Thai its less walking time but more time on the train? Less walking with luggage would be easier. Although my last few trips from the Airport I have just used a taxi, yes it's more expensive and can take longer depending on traffic. But it's so much more easier.

    There's a reason why people pay (a lot) more to take a taxi. It offers door to door service. And it's the same price whether it's 1, 2, or 3 people. Someone travelling to Bangkok would most likely lug along a lot of heavy luggage. Having to transfer from one line to another (with the heavy baggage) takes the convenience out of everything especially after a long flight, one just wants to get to the hotel and refresh up. A true rail link should take passengers directly to Central Bangkok, (like the Hong Kong Airport Express, price notwithstanding), and not requiring the passenger to step off at some suburban station and transfer to another line to get into the city.

    • @chronic2023
      @chronic2023 6 месяцев назад +3

      I agree with you but in my case my hotel is right next to an mrt line so it seems like a waste of money to take a taxi when I can hop on a train, make one transfer to an mrt, and be at my hotel for very little money. I also learn how to use the mrt lines to get around Bangkok for my 5 night stay. Plus, I will know how to get back to the airport when I continue on to the north. If you're staying in Thailand for a month, like I will be, those taxis and airport transfers can really add up to hundreds of dollars that can be spent on something else. 😊

    It takes less than 30 minutes, and the fare is just 45 baht at most, which is much more convenient and faster compared to other transportation options.

      No, you can't. The machine takes only cash which are small notes (20/50/100 THB) or coins. For credit cards, you may need to take cash from ATMs which are plenty at every station. If you have large notes you will be able to buy a ticket at the kiosk or you can buy a top-up card with a small deposit (50 THB).
