I am continuing to learn how to use the Lofty Fibers Tempo-Treadle device. In this video i show my experience with the "Thread Assist" features of this device.
I'm thinking this old dog, meaning me, is no longer interested in purchasing this for my studio. I am, however, enjoying watching you learn, experiment, and share your experience with it, as I like watching how others do things and evolve. I'm finding that I'm starting to want LESS electronics in my life now.
when i got my spring, i heard of this and thought this would be good, but for me, the spring with its fixed position peddles, it just didnt seem necessary, now i have a glimakra and the rear mounted front wandering treddles it would seem more useful, but still todate i havent messed up without noticing.. I use iweaveit and an ipad for keeping place in my pattern if i need to, but tbh ive yet to do a pattern i couldnt commit to memory, and im not that young (52) so, for now, i its a gadget i want but i dont need..
Thanks for continuing to take us along with you as you explore this system! How frustrating that you would have to keep this thing running the whole time you are threading the loom, just to make sure it remembers where you were in the process. With my luck I'd do that, and we'd have a power outage ... then what? Smart move having the paper copy - even if you use it as a back up each time you leave the loom..........but gosh....you spent money on a system to help you NOT have to do that. I commend your patience!
That IS a neat feature. I hope there is a way to get it working as expected. Thanks for sharing your learning process with this device.
