- Crowd singing Bohemian Rhapsody at Green Day concert reaction.
It truly was an incredible scene when a crowd of 60,000 who had gone to a Green Day concert at Hyde Park,London in 2017,began singing Queen's hit Bohemian Rhapsody word for word, from beginning to the end!
I have never known nothing like this and this is truly one of the most special and spine tingling moment in music.Thank heavens we habe RUclips ro preserve momenta like this for posterity.
They even sang the guitar parts.Incredible.
I hope you enjoy the reaction music video.
15 year old Angelina Jordan sings incredible BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY cover live! Check it out.. ruclips.net/video/CWN6w67SEUg/видео.html
you carnt copy PERFECTION
No thanks its Borring
Guess we have different tastes. Never have cared for those talent TV shows. She was dreadful.
Freddie was once asked, "You play many different Instruments which is your favorite?" His Reply " The Audience, Darling!"
I love that
He could have played me any time!
What a great answer from Freddie! He was Amazing!
@Zavier Lyric That's the third time I've seen this comment on a vid. How much are they paying you?
I'm sure the audience didn't mind a bit!
Queen: noun. The only band to ever rock a 65000 person concert without ever being there.
Freddie the only man who ever conducted a croud from Heaven.
I love you both for these comments!!!!
What a magnificent comment! Ayy-Oooooo!
These comments are great!!! 👍👑
And Freddie conducted the crowd at the London 2012 Olympics :)
Props to Green Day for sharing this. They understand it's all about the music and not ego. Wish I could have been there.
Presumably they had to get permission from Queen to release it. It must be so incredible for the remaining band members to watch this.
Me too.
part of why Greenday is so Good!!!
Their original video of this has had 30 million views. Mind blowing
65,000 people singing and you can understand every word and in key 💖🇨🇦.
Can you imagine this is your legacy. RIP FREDDY 😢.
Cuzs its queen and queen has jurisdiction over all bands!
Yes so True ..Then Green Day came on and Ruined it .. lol
Don’t say the Queen never did anything for you😎
Even The Queen is subservient to Queen
Apart from the WHO, queen learnt everything from the who
YAAAAS!!
Look at that sky!!! You just know Freddie was leading the crowd just as he always did!!! RIP our Freddie....
“Open your eyes look up to the skies & see” 🥰
Freddy heard them playing one of his songs on the PA and he decided to lead the crowd by shining down on them from the heavens. :)
I'm trying not to tear up here, guys lol
You made me cry, my dude
You will never see anything like this again...what artist, what band..what performer has such an impact like this...years after....only Queen, only Freddie....
Honestly they could do the same with any number of Beatles songs. Especially in London.
michael jackson
@@stuffbenlikes Why be so grouch? Just enjoy the event...just enjoy the music. No rivalries. There's no need for that, it's just music. Just enjoy and be happy, these days it's all we need, some happiness
@@Anisabell2 How is that being a grouch? They're both excellent bands with amazing music. Are you denying The Beatles could get that kind of crowd reaction? Why such a grouch? Why did you feel the need to get on here and whine at me when I said nothing grouchy at all? What's up your butt?
kanye east ...j/k!!!
Queen: we received a check from a concert we did not attend.
Green Day: actually that was the prize for first place, we came in second by the way.
this comment needs 1K+ Likes ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
If you're a Green Day fan, you know that they always start playing Bohemian Rhapsody over the PA 10 minutes before the band comes on, followed by Blitzkrieg Bop - they don't put the lyrics up, or tell anyone to sing though - they just let the crowd get on with it ...and it always works! This was a punk festival - first band was on about 2pm - this was just before Green Day headlined at 8pm - by which time the 65,000 crowd had lubricated their vocal cords...and yes - I was there...on the eve of my 50th...so old enough to remember it first time round!
Yeah, it's such a massive feeling when this song starts playing because you know the crowd is gonna go OFF.
Thank you for sharing that info. Always wondered why the crowd was singing BR. Love it.
They all sung in Harmony. I applaud them for capturing this.
It’s the law in England, if one person starts to sing everyone has to join in and harmonise, football games, pubs doesn’t matter and if there is an instrumental break we sing that as well. 😁🏴🇬🇧
Confirms Freddie’s favourite instrument to play...
‘The Crowd Darling’
even the crowd at other musicians concerts!
Freddie still leading his peeps in "sing-alongs" from heaven smiling at all his wonderful 😚 darlings.... 🐰 #ENRGYZRBunny
Get chills every time!
Thanks, I'm smiling thinking of Freddie in heaven.♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Seeing them in concert so many years ago and seeing this three years ago, the 'Queen' energy is still there. Those four men created something extraordinary and Brian and Roger can still bring it.
Your comment made me tear up!
Freddie always said his best instrument was "the Audience, Darling"
This is the genius of Freddie. No one leading the crowd, no organization telling them what to do, just people showing their love for Freddie. And not just singing the chorus but the whole song. This is the true meaning of immortality.
This was before the concert started, they were just playing various music over the PA system for people to listen to till the Greenday concert began.. Little did they know that when Bohemian Rhapsody music came on that the entire crowd would start singing the song word for word..
And in tune.
Greenday takes the stage, "thank you, goodnight! Good God, how do we follow that?"
@@madpaduk And with the harmonies
@@Docholliday1106 I think that was what EVERY band at Live Aid said after Queen's performance..."Good God, how do we follow that??"
philipem1000 it was Elton John or David Bowie that said that at Live Aid, as they had they were the next act to follow Queen.
I sense a disturbance in the force, as if thousands of voices cried out at once In joy and comradaerie
Who can get a crowd to sing a difficult song all while not showing up at all? I was honored to see Freddie and Queen live 3 times when I was a kid/teen. They were amazing and just as good as their albums! Most of these kids were not even born when Freddie died!! Dr. May was very happy to see this video and he did comment about how honored he was to listen to the audience!!
After Freddie, Brian is my favorite. From all appearances he is a good man, loves what he does, and honors Freddie at every turn. Not to mention that hair! Silver now but looks great on him.
Billie Joe: Who's opening for us today?
Stage Manager: Ummm... Queen feat. the Audience.
They actually sang it really well. Emotional.
It was just a medley of various popular songs being played as "incidental music" over the PA while the crowd were waiting. When Bohemian Rhapsody was played, the crowd just spontaneously joined in.
Kudos to Green Day for publishing the video.
Very few of that crowd would have been born when Bohemian Rhapsody was first released, but it has remained an evergreen classic on UK radio.
Oh i see..i wondered how and why the music came on
Shout out to GreenDay
@@HarriBestReactions That`s the true definition of immortalization :):):)
And EVERYBODY knows all the words lol. How can you resist singing along?
@@drogna3905 And, which he never mentioned, they also did the harmonies.....
I’ve watched this before and always wonder how many people backstage came out to see what was going on? And this was before the movie! Before covid on summer nights we would sit in our favorite sidewalk cafe sipping wine and when the server would ask was there something else we wanted I would answer yes to hear Queen. The cafe would play it. One evening I again requested Queen and at a nearby table a student from our local university stood up with his violin and began playing “Love of My Life”. The student/musician received tremendous applause. People stopped in the street traffic close to the tables were giving us the thumbs up and calling out that they loved Freddie and they loved Queen. Such a beautiful time.
Thank you for sharing such a sweet story.
This is a testament to how much Queen ruled the world and continue to rule 30 years after Freddie died. To quote a Queen song lyric "The can be only one." and that one was and will always be Fahrouk Bulsara aka Freddie Mercury.
Queen was loved, is loved and forever will be loved! *10.000 years from now, people will still be in awe listening to Bohemian Rhapsody!*
Once you've heard Freddie Mercury's great epic voice, you'll never forget it! Humanity must be grateful that people like Freddie shared their 'out of this world' gift and pass it on to all generations to come.
A friend once defined art as "using your talent to get someone else to understand your emotions and intent". Freddie was a true artist.
Queen held a free concert in Hyde Park in 1976 and it looks like it hasn’t finished yet.
That is the magic of Queen and Freddie Mercury’s legacy!
In our hearts forever. The great Freddie Mercury, John Deacon, Roger Taylor and Brian May. ❤️
My exact tought when watching this was the way the sky opened up and shone upon them. It really seemed as though Freddie himself had parted the grey clouds as was saying sing it to me. He was up there his eyes closed basking in his legendary status and the love coming from the crowd below. There will never be another like him.
God was standing nearby, surely! How can this not please the heavens? Wonderful-- we need to do more of this
I was lucky enough to be at this concert and remember thinking this exact thing as we were signing it it was such a magical moment and I will remember it forever
I’ve never seen this before. Wow, a crowd singing as one is like an atom bomb going off in ones emotional cortex. If such a thing exists. I fee euphoric, I have tears of joy running down my face. Amazing.
Btw, before bands go on they often play music as a background, just to keep people entertained before the band go on.
Ive seen this happen at t in the park many times, but nothing on this scale, it was truly awesome. Wish I was there.
nor had I, its incredible, nobody else could get a crowd to do that even if he wasn't there.
This is humans at our best.
my thoughts exactly :)
The way Humans should be, united in love and harmony.
REALLY IS, David! The core of us.
"Freddie" was born and raisend in Sansibar, East-Africa. When his teacher ask him what he will be become later in life, he replied: "I am gonna to be a legend!". I think this litte boy by the name of Farrokh Bulsara was right, made it and nailed it! :-)
Zanzibar
They barely know who he is on Zanzibar, very sad,
Yes and no, actually he left at 9 years old, and spent about 12 years at school in India.
@@Jabber-ig3iw There’s actually a Freddie Mercury Museum in Zanzibar. It is located in the same house where Freddie and his family lived until they moved to England.
Queen is a national treasure, Green Day was merely paying tribute in England to a music heritage.
Babies in England are taught this song in their cribs...
Pretty much. I've known this song for as long as I can remember.
Babies in England are BORN knowing this song!
@@roberthudson1959 Was gonna say..it's in the DNA!
england, you mean the english speaking world
The music is in the sperm, and the words are in the egg.
Still get chills everytime I watch this...and that was probably Freddie on the drum set at the 5:15 mark...hitting the cymbals.
I know I'm not the only one who got chills from that. :D
The hair on my arms stood up as I listened
And tears.
I’ve just watched a load of these responses and you’re the first to mention the quality of the crowds singing. They did a great job, sensitive when needed and heavy in the right spots. For a young crowd to know a song from the 70’s so well is very moving. Thanks for the video.
I believe this is in Hyde Park at a festival. They played music in between acts on the PA and Green Day was up next. This is how beloved Queen and Bohemian Rhapsody are in England. Everyone knew every word. You have to commit to which Galileo to do! Freddie was conducting from the heavens.
Green Day concert, before the came on stage
Bohemian Rhapsody is deeply ingrained in the public consciousness in the UK, in 2004 it was the second most played song on UK radio ever and regularly near the top of best song ever lists.
What was the first?
@@briana6607 It was A Whiter Shade of Pale by Procol Harum
@@Tlotoxl SERIOUSLY???? Whiter Shade Of Pale is a good song but... really?!?! Here in the U.S. our Classic Rock radio stations (across the country) have annual Top 100 songs of all time shows Starting on New Years Eve and end on on News Years day.... And Led Zeppelin and Queen ALWAYS dominate the top 10 spots(along with AC/DC, The Stones etc.,) I'm SO surprised you didn't say "Stairway To Heaven" was the other #1!?!? I hope you Brits know how much Queen and Zeppelin are truly loved(practically worshipped) over here! I personally have been an avid, loyal fan since I was 12(in 1983). Peace brother...
@@michaelgilbert197 the format of UK radio seems rather different, the big national radio stations are Radio 1 which mainly current music for teenagers, Radio 2 which is for the middle aged with mostly 20-30 year old music and older and the local stations are usually just popular music of all types and ages, the few specialist stations are digital only with a small listenership and usually focus on decades rather than music styles
Imagine being Green day in their dressing room and hearing this spontaneously erupt.
It would be great! Good hyped up crowd ready for some fun.
@@badpop987
... until they actually had to go on.
Imagine following THAT!!!
@@muhest ya, no shit!!!!
I've seen other GD concerts where they played this song, and same thing happened. I'll bet any rock show where they played this, this would happen. Certain songs are iconic. But, Freddie is what makes this song extra special. People can argue he wasn't the best, but there is no one better. (He was the best in my eyes).
I bet they said, "How the hell are we supposed to follow that?"
Surely this has to go into the Guinness Book of Records as the largest choir ever.
wonder if they have been notified
Did not know this even existed.
Beautiful.
Unbelievable. Most people can't get through Happy Birthday and be in time or on key.
🤣🤣🤣
42 year old song (now 45) , how few people there were even born when this song came out and yet it still THAT well known and loved
And Freddie was in heaven conducting them ty for the reaction
Ah our Freddie! Truly immortal! Long live Queen!
Oh yes, Queen are masters...even when not there.
I bet Freddie Mercury was smiling looking down
Freddie was smiling down from heaven when this happened, kudos to the crowd! Way to pay your respects to that guy and this band. Well done faithful Rock fans! 🤘😎
I've seen this many times and every time, I can imagine Freddie listening and joining in with the Hyde Park crowd. Unbelievable.
Pure Joy.. Queen forever
That's not a crowd. That's a Giant Chorus!
Freddie Mercury would be proud especially with the song that he put on the radio without the records approval of this song. It was one his visions that's been immortalized combining opera and rock music.
Freddie was smiling from Heaven
Isn't it amazing how Freddie can have control over a crowd when he's not even there?
Seen several Green Day pre concerts where they play this and people start singing. It still gives me goose bumps as well everytime.
This shows how much Queen has made a difference in this world. They are timeless and will always be known.
The sky...the sky looks amazing! The angels are all celebrating in heaven and shining with Freddie in complete bliss.
Love it. Back in 2013 my sis, nephew and I went for 10 days hols in Orlando, one night after Universal we went to the Hard Rock for evening meal, there is someone roaming the restaurant with an ipad, connected to their tv's. One of my selections was this track, the whole place stopped eating and for the following 6 minutes sung at the top of their voices, my favourite memory of the whole 10 days.
I wish Freddie could see this! He loved his fans, he loved his work, and from all accounts was a kind and compassionate man. Green Day played that audio before they came on because to this day Queen (and Freddie) are rock and roll superstars. Thanks for sharing this!
'How generous of this crowd to let Green Day play at their concert.' - what a great comment
i watch this many times i still get goosebumps 😱 dododododododoooo you’re a legend if the crowd sing your guitar solo 😊..and yes they did! ... look up to sky and see freddie is watching🙏🏻 RIP dear Freddie
It's always good to hear a well-tuned park singing together ...!
😂😂😂🤗👍
Wow smile on my face and tear in my eyes . They made Freddie smile 😊
I'm sure their voices reach up to heaven and brought a beautiful smile on Freddie's face.🙂❤️
We really need more moments like this. Total unity.
How awesome is this? You know that Freddie was smiling from heaven
Specially when he was told by his producers and even some band members "That song is to complicated nobody is going to remember it" how little did they know that Freddie had just created a monster that would never be forgotten, mark of a true genious that understood (and never underestimated the intelligence of his crowd) and I think this video proved him right, even people that where not born when he died where singing along.
Because Queen is the greatest ssf t band on the world. Freddie's voice, Brian on guitar, J ok hn on bass and Roger on drums. THE GREATEST!♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
I'd like to thank the Wayne's World movie for bringing this song back into my generations brain with it's car scene to this song.
What do you mean? Freddie was alive when Wayne's World came out...
@@Chumppi No Freddie died before Wayne's World came out. Not that this song was ever forgotten but the movie revived it for a new generation.
Freddie did indeed pass before the movie was released to the public. However he was able to see the car seen as they wanted his approval... and he loved it.
Freddie did get an advance copy of Wayne world. So he did see the scene where Wayne and garth were in the car with friends when BoRap came on the radio. So he did see it.
Thats the power of legends.
Harri great reaction as always. I love this I’ve seen it a few times. With the crowd singing like that it really feels like Freddys up on the stage singing. I’m so glad Green Day shared this with us. It’s very heartwarming to watch.❤️😀👍❤️✌️🌼
Its beautiful
Omg! I sang along with them, so fun!! My first and favorite concert in 1981, Queen!!! Great reaction, thanks!!!
Even after the band left they carried on playing another couple of Queen songs, believe me non of us left until the show was really over! Deep down it was just a tribute to Queen, they played We are the champions and We will rock you! Not a joke.
😭💞beloved Freddie!we miss u!
Freddy was conducting with that amused look on his face. You remember the one? The stuff legends are made from.
His peeps did what they always do SING. Freddie was right there in spirit, conducting them as he always did.
Humanity is alive and well! Too beautiful!
To hear another crowd sing Queen, “ Love of My Life”, Rock in Rio.
I was at that show, and hearing everyone (including myself) sing that song together was a proper lovely moment of union :) Bohemian Rhapsody is like a national anthem over here in the UK!
This is the power of great music! This is why Queen is so legendary. They did what few bands could ever do. They wrote a masterpiece of modern music that will live on for as long as people are alive. Like Beethoven their music will live and be celebrated long after they are all gone.
The power and endurance of Queen!!!!!!!!
After their Live Aid performance I can no longer be surprised at any outpouring of love Queen still creates.
Because it’s queen and Freddie , an absolute national treasure. The greatest frontman ever x
Who else singing along with the crowd not realizing until this moment that they too know every word of this song? Lol
The funny thing is that all or most of the people in that audience weren’t born when that song came out.
Queen songs are legendary and yet intimate.
Freddie conducting from heaven
Thats so touching. Miss Freddie so much ❤️
But there are crowds up to 90000 singing at rock concerts. Hua Chenyu is like a chinese Freddie and he enjoys playing the piano while people sing to him. Not another bands song, though
Freddie was looking down and saying "I like it .." He loved that the people sang his songs. I loved this.
Now that was LOVE!! And you played it on St Valentine's Day - Freddie will be feeling so good.
Because Freddie Mercury and Queen are rock Gods.
Greenday loves Queen.
I've seen this several times and it always amazes me. It just emphasises the hold that Queen, and obviously Freddie in particular, still have. Wonderful.
Queen - Always EXCELLENCE! Thanks Harri for reacting
My pleasure!!
If you listen to queen singing this, use earphones. The sound is amazing
The empty stage makes me weep. Love you Freddie and Queen. Thanks for great, heartfelt music that stands the test of time. Simply beautiful. Queen is a shining star!!!!
I have chills. The sky opened up with bright sunshine. Thanks for sharing
I’m a Queen fan and have never seen this before. That’s incredible. As someone else said in the comments, you can imagine Freddie conducting the crowd from wherever he is and loving every bit of it.
Loved your reaction and your laugh 😉. This was amazing! That crowd can sang! ❤️True to how we all feel about Freddie and Queen! Legends!
I felt the power in that.....just so awesome....I’m so blown away.
You can tell a song is immortal when the fans sing the guitar solo!
At the beginning, the cloud on the top left looks like Freddie's face; it's as if he's looking down on the crowd and blessing them
