Just subscribed after finding this song last night randomly! So beautiful. With me learning piano, I had to see if there was a tutorial out there. I think it definitely would be helpful for you to go more in depth - I have been trying to find a lot on Gospel theory and I know it’s not something that is readily accessible and explained for a lot of people. A lot of folks say you can’t follow tutorials, just join a church… or listen to songs then play… like bruh come on But upon the channels and the things that I do find if they go in depth with the chords and inversions/embellishments and licks, they don’t explain HOW they got there, they just say “oh this Ab sharp x, flat x, 2nd inversion”. If you’re using three notes up top or upper structure, me personally want to know what those are called or how to find them - are they in the key/scale, outside the key/scale? Etc. I think I’m just heavily in search of more theory, gospel centered. But with gospel there is tons of feel and playing outside key And if they do go in depth, they give a 5min video and then want you to pay $300 a month lol for a subscription. So by all means, this does not mean cater to my needs, but if it is in your heart to go in depth w/ this one day I would definitely love that. Peace and love bro. God bless 🙏🏾
