A man who would come here of his own free will. A man who has come here with the power of a king. By representing the law... A man who would come here as a virgin... A man who has come here as a fool!
All beautifully done. How much of the cave shots were St Ninian's cave? Interesting to see inside it, although I suspect we have at least two cave locations being used here, maybe more.
I actually didn't get down to S Ninian's cave [there is a caravan site in the way] - so I used caves on Arran and Wemyss Caves on the east coast. The film actually used the caves of Cheddar gorge I believe.
@@julesdingle Ah, I see. The film used St Ninian's exterior and the caves at the Wookey Hole for the interior cave shots, so that's close. (And the orgy was shot somewhere on the grounds at the Wookey Hole too...)
oh, this one got passed me, i was just scanning back to see what kind of drone shots you like to get an idea what kind of fpv drone to recommend and found this vid. i was completely perplexed to find there is no summerisle... theres a town of that name but the movie was shot in dumfries and galloway, i obviously, as a child of the 60s, have deep fears about the whicker man and island culture. anyway, this is beautifully put together and narrated, i dont know if you saw my vid of gylen castle on kerrera island, i used some vangelis music that reminded me way too much of the whicker man hehehe.
It's along the lines of Kir coo bray. I was under the impression it was all filmed in Dumfries and Galloway with the exception of scenes filmed at Culzean Castle. Pronounced Kull ain by the way. Very informative. Brit Ekland said in an interview she hated Dumfries and I don't blame her.
thanks, I normally ask people in Wales and Scotland to pronounce their town name [it sounds less weird when I ask], I wrongly assumed that Kirk Cudbright being so close to England would be straight forward.. lesson learned the filming locations are all in the link found in the description [however for dramatic license I added some of my own.. and the caves I used are on Arran and Fife, the original is behind a caravan park and not actually a cave.
Wow. Thank you for this Jules. The home of my favourite musical ❤
Excellent!

Great video, but in your text description you should spell it "Plockton"
my mistake.. unfortunately YT doesn't allow corrections [unless you are very rich]
It is a problem doing everything myself.. oh for a proof editor.
It reminds me a bit of Kauai only older and colder.
it's a Highland paradise !

the magic of cinema ...all filming was done on location [although the sunset was in Portugal!]
Not even close to pronouncing Kirkcudbright right but nice video.
I'm always happy to hear the correct pronunciation .. want to educate?
