He hit it on the head. Diva egos will end you faster than runaway freight train. Part of TW's secret sauce is being humble, grounded, and relatable since day one. I hope that never changes!
@@gmantw Yes they are so humble and down to earth and those qualities will help them along the way as it has already and as they keep getting more well known in the music world!
Danys guitar is run through a Kemper . It splits the signal and plays one side with a small delay. She can also put different effects on each channel. And lastly it plays out in stereo to produce that big sound. They do use tracks but normally they are keyboard , rare vocal tracks and effects.
He was rocking to it . . Once i saw that i knew he liked them . All the best to you and your family for christmas and the holiday season . Take care . Bye from NZ👍👋🇳🇿🍻twa
Up and coming as in more exposure to non rock fans and new fans. Surprisingly, with Bruce as an example, a ton of people still don’t know who TW is. Slowly but surely getting there though. 🤟🏼❤️🔥🤟🏼🇺🇸🇵🇷
@@yomahmaful Yes the last 3 years of lots of touring and interviews for sure putting them in front of more and more soon to be fans after they see them and hear their music .
Joel, Welcome back to these videos, they are one of my favourite parts of your channel. Bruce is a great guest, I love it when you have co-piolets who are personable, humble and have a good dose of understanding of how shows are put together now. Awesome stuff.
Their first song in Spanish. Not on any album. Written as a big middle finger to all the people who called them cultural traitors for singing in English.
ok man. u gotta lead bruce down the warning rabbit hole. his first reaction is what we all feel. ill watch his reactions all day long . the warning is so amazing. lets let him join us down the rabbit hole please
Great guest Joel...so honest and down to earth. Really enjoyed this a lot. He was not presumptuous at all. There are good guys in Rock and roll for sure. Cheers, Happy Holiday
Almost every band that is touring today is using track. It enhances the experience for the crowd. Some people don't like it, but fans of the bands do. That's one of the reasons fans listen to them. Giving a greater sonic experience to fans doesn't diminish the legitimacy of a band.
"They should have worried about things they didn't necessarily knew about"... that made me laugh out loud. I think almost everyone has that moment in their lives...
The Na-na's are actually part of the lyrics. If you have Bruce back, you can try him with HYCAD from Taratata and Automatic Sun from Pol'And'Rocks. His comments about "fame" revolve around parental acceptance. A strong theme for most successful people.
I'm glad to see someone from my era of music having a realistic attitude about the use of tracks. I don't think anyone wants to see a situation where someone looks like they are playing on stage when they actually aren't but anything beyond that there's nothing wrong with it. The bands I worked with in the 70s, 80s and early 90s did everything they could to duplicate what they did on albums. Sometimes the nature of their music made it easier sometimes it didn't. I sang backups at the FOH position many times. Nobody knew where the parts were coming from but they were there. If people think fans were okay with their favorite song sounding thin and pathetic live they don't remember the "good old days" the way they really were.
This was great, thanks for continuing to introduce TW to important people in music. The great guest Bruce (Foreigner was once one of my favorite bands) made me think about what it has been like for TW to have been on the Ellen DeGeneres show. Thanks again, Joel, greetings and I wish you a Merry Christmas and a prosperous 2025 from Mexico!! 🇲🇽 🤟😁✌️ .
You should have told him to listen to Evolve, More or Automatic sun, but this song is one that shows what Pau can do, but its not her best work, the poland festival is amazing! Awesome song lineup!
He's absolutely correct! The Greek Theater open air in nature concert is awesome when you have the chance you should go check out a concert the sound is great plus the atmosphere so cool.
A little background on this song. The Warning has received a good deal of criticism for not writing lyrics in Spanish being as how they are from Mexico. This song is their rebuttal to such criticism and is quite brilliant actually. Not only did they write the lyrics in Spanish but it stands up there with some of the greatest f-off songs ever! "Criticize me a little more, I find myself entertained to hear, all your badmouthing let me laugh a little more, because you don't know anything and don't shut up I cover my ears and I simply say na na na na na na na na", or as an American might say neener neener neener! Absolutely brutal! Here you go, haters, a song in Spanish just for you, hope you like it but it doesn't matter one way or another, be assured TWA loves it!
Paulina's voice is much different when she sings in Spanish over English. Is Spanish her voice is deeper. As for Daniela her voice is the same in either English or Spanish.
It's weird. I'm an old guy and The Warning keep popping up on my feed. At first it was like, umm, no I don't think so. But after a few I found myself kind of rooting for them. Sure, they augment a little with tracks to fill out the trio sound as is completely common these days but they are clearly playing their parts and singing live so hey, mas poder a las muchachas! Si se puede TW, vayan hermanas!
Neat reaction. Yep, Pau is eye-catchingly awesome. Interesting comments about backing tracks, yes I can see how purists can disapprove, but like Bruce says no point in being a curmudgeon about it. (Love the use of that word.) To quote Pau(?) "It's okay when a backing track adds to the song, when the backing track becomes the song then that's not okay." Really glad Bruce enjoyed The Warning. Thanks to Joel for spreading the word. Q for Joel though, when introducing your guests do you think it might be esier to list all the artists they HAVEN'T played with? ;-)
Introducing them to someone who has never heard of them as three sisters from Mexico then playing "Narcisista" may give the impression they only sing in Spanish. However, almost all their songs are in English.
I would have chosen a track a little closer to Foreigners catalog. maybe 23, HYCAD, Amore, etc. Maybe not one of the 2 Spanish language tracks, as good as they are. Even Martirio would have been a better introduction. My opinion only.
The Lexington Lab Band? Eh? What's that? Sometimes your crazy ideas are bangers Joel, but more often not. We will see. Its your channel and your guest.
He would have a much better impression of the band and what they are about had you played "Evolve" or "Choke" or "Automatic Sun", 90% of what they do is in English...
Wonder if Joel is going to do Band Maid and tie The Warning with them. His friend at least know the Mexican and Japanese female bands are conspiring to take over the world!!!
Weird song choice for an introduction. The song is great, but at least one with Pau behind the kit would have made a little more sense to me. I appreciate the show and your sensibilities though so not complaining.
Narcisista is not the best song to introduce someone into the warning.. is in Spanish while most of the band songs are on english, the lyrics also fall apart from the common themes from the band and the vocals are influenced by mexican rock and that's not bad but is very different from the band signature style..
You left out too many Facts. Dany's the Lead singer. Ages Ect... Should have played him Evolve, HYCAD, Choke or Automatic Sun. Too bad, he is a very important person for introduction to The Warning. The best newer Rock band in 30 to 40 years. Too bad you messed this up.

Great, honest, reaction! Bruce is cool, bring him back! 😊
The Warning with their incredible 2019 standalone single! Powerful!!
Thank you! I appreciate Bruce Watson's comments. He seems really grounded and cool.
Welcome to The Warning Army. There is no turning back. You have been warned.

You wouldn't believe how many groups/artists have won "Best new artist" that have been at it for years, if not decades.
Never hurts to mention a few simple facts - they normally sing in English, the guitarist is the actual lead singer. Things like that….
Yes, those little details matter! hehe

One of the best young bass players out there today. She just turned 20! Started when she was 10. Has her own signiture model bass by Spector.
ACTUALLY 9 YEARS OLD
@@MA-zv8wn More like 6-7 according to Ale herself.
OK. I had not heard Narcisista either. Its good. Its fun. And in Español. Liked it. The bass and guitar playing was different. Interesting.

They all play LIVE, but yes, they do have the laptop to help here and there, which they play themselves.

It might be but this is not a great song to show someone hearing the band for the first time
There"s a new trend with the Warming. People playing a fourth instrument on their songs.

En el momento que empieza a mover la cabeza al ritmo de Narcisita sabes que lo tienen. TW!

Why use Pau's picture of the Narcicista performance from Teatro Metropolitan as thumbnail, while you watch the Pepsi Center video?
That was really not a proper introduction song. You could really tell by his response to it.
Why would you choose that song when it’s not one of their more popular songs and unless their playing in Mexico they usually sing in English
Are there any original Foreigner members left?

He would have a much better impression of the band and what they are about had you played "Evolve" or "Choke" or "Automatic Sun", 90% of what they do is in English...
Dont limits for this goddnes
Why would you introduce an american guy to a band and not play an English spoken song?
As much as I like Narcisista Pau's, voice is not the best while singing it. I would've chosen a different song
..and as a first impression, it may not be the best being in a different language. They have so many other that hit way harder and are memorable.
Try doing it yourself and find out about yourself

I agree Evolve would have been perfect...
Oh boy, please do the right song for the introduction .
You picked a song most have never heard. I love the band but that is not the best representation of the band
Why did you choose this song? There are certainly better choices......Evolve, Deciple, HYCAD.........etc...
Poor song choice to play for someone who only speaks English. There lyrics are a big part of what they do.
Wow ! Rock really is dead.
