      Hi :) im thinkng about doing a masters in MH nursing just wanted to ask what its like, do you work full time as a MH nurse as well?

    • @talesofastudentnurse4801
      @talesofastudentnurse4801 2 года назад

      @@charlotte3450 hi Charlotte, yes we still have time split. So first you have uni for about 10 weeks then you're out on placement, then back to uni etc. Because it is condensed into 2 years it is pretty fast pace, and they like you to have about a years experience in healthcare prior to starting. You also have to do an RPL when applying, it's a portfolio of work you complete (about 10,000 words), they set the different topics etc and then mark...you only get a place if that passes. It's intense but worth it, I'm enjoying it a lot!! ☺️

    Question from a American nursing student 💕 when you guys go to nursing school, do you learn all specialties and then can work wherever when you graduate (like us), or do you just study one specific area of nursing and graduate with that degree? I was kinda confused and wondering, tysm :) loved your video, I am also interest in MH nursing ❤️

    • @EllaSofia1
      @EllaSofia1  3 года назад +3

      We choose a specific field from the get go! I chose mental health nursing, there’s also Adult nursing, Children’s nursing & Learning disability nursing to chose from. Each degree is 3 years long! ❤️

      @@EllaSofia1 omg thank you for responding! It’s so crazy how things vary from each country! Our degree is 2 years and each semester we learn different specialties, like my final semester rn is critical care and emergency care! Thank you again, good luck with your studies ❤️
