Olive, have you read Vodka Politics: Alcohol, Autocracy, and the Secret History of the Russian State? I remember seeing on you bookshelf YEARS AGO and was curious if you like it or not.
I love these “similar to” videos! I would like to add that Caitlin Doughty is a favorite author of mine and a wonderful writer. But another book in that vein is “All the Living and the Dead” by Hayley Campbell.
