Sorry to burst the 4k bubble but currently there are no stations, other than select large markets and only testing, that broadcast at 4K. That will be available in the coming years, several as there is no rush and streaming has become more important than free tv. You will have a 4K set but still view at 720 or 1080 (how it is broadcast). Unfortunately in the antenna market, like the mattress market, there is no real hard info or comparison shopping as it depends on how far you are away from the source broadcasting and how the antenna is designed and made. Also if you live in a city, you will have to test if the filter/amplifier will work or hinder your signal. You won't know until you try it.
This man knows of what he speaks. Where you live has a lot to do with how many channels you can pick up!!!! So true so true! I cut the Cord about 9 years ago. In our old home we got all 28 channels available over the air in our area. The antenna would pick up all the channels no matter where we placed it.. When we moved about three years ago..no such luck. I've tried many different antennas. Finally very cheap one from a large well known big box store worked best. It got all 28 channels!! But suddenly about 10 days ago a bunch of my channels disappeared on my living room TV...I bought a "better antenna" but it only picked up about 3 of the channels I lost. Oh well..

@@1Stevenc There are a ton of IPTV services you can get, many of them for $5 a month, they have all the channels, sports, ppv, and just get an apk for movies and tv shows.
Probably; There's a short but informative article by CNET, _Sling, everything you need to know_ . I got tons of information just from the first paragraph so you don't even have to read the whole thing If you just want to play videos on your phone or tablet, you can use any online TV service; however if you want it on your TV, you either need to buy a digital antenna and get a rebate, own a smart TV, use a HDMI to hook up a laptop/tablet, Chromecast, or Hulu device. Those are the simplest options. For years I just hooked up an old desktop to my TV with an HDMI cable. Instant Smart TV.
We didn't choose it because with some of the channels it says you can NOT stream on multiple devices (ESPN was the deal breaker). So if a game is on, only one TV can stream it. Other than that, I think it would be good. We use antannea TV, Amazon Prime video and Hulu (lowest tier). Amazon Video comes with our Prime and Hulu comes with our cell phone service.
You might also look at DirecTV-NOW. I've been playing around with it for the past 3 months and while it still has some growing to do it's not bad. DVR still does not include enough hours and it auto deletes shows within 30 days, however the ON-Demand is a lot easier to use and almost eliminates the need for the DVR altogether.
@@myfridayproject3257 - That actually looks great and Jesús (the guy above you), it has Univisón. That's great. So, question for you Friday, it says 3 concurrent streams, does that include ESPN? Sling doesn't let you do that. Also do you have the cheapest package ($40/mon) and are you charged taxes and fees? Supposedly, it says you can cancel any time on their website, is that true? Thank you for recommending them as the lowest tier looks good for us!
Hi Matt Its been a while since I commented... Where is the link to the website where I can pre determine the availability of possible channels available in my neighborhood? If I can cut the cord I would be so happy. Thanks
No. Each tv needs it's own antenna. Before cable came along, all TVs came with an antenna. If you own a home a roof antenna is the best way to go and each set can be wired to that one antenna.
This antenna is for local channels or international channels you have to explain it for us very well so that we can understand this antenna before we decide to buy it
There is a way to use 1 antenna and feed any tv that uses a roku or similar device, and allow you to set the antenna in the place that gets the best signal. Where i live i got a much larger antenna, one that is fit for outside mounted on a pole or rooftop, but also fit in my attic so that is where it is, and i get 40 channels, and i use a device called a tablo that the antenna plugs into, the tablo connects to your home network, and allows you to view the antenna signal on a roku, or similar, and gives you a menu based guide channel list like a cable or satellite box, and, you can connect a hard drive to it, and have dvr to boot. Other devices do the same thing, i just happen to use a tablo and roku, the 2 biggest issues with using antennas, are, best positioning of the antenna for best signal, and, distance between it and your tv, more then 50 feet and you need a signal booster, and those can get pricey if you have several tv's or a long distance to go between tv and antenna. the tablo solves that cause it can be right next to the antenna or up to 50 feet away, then it just needs to connect to your home network and your good, it is both wired and wireless.
Hey Matt! Those colors really pop! You keep us on top of things that can help save money... Even if I can't get this antenna, I can recommend it to a friend. Btw, can you showcase a cheap, but sturdy DSLR camera? Thanks again!

1) Understand that there's no such thing as an "HD" or "digital" antenna

I have a fire stick also... please explain to to me how to get all those benefits you mentioned...
@@1Stevenc There are a ton of IPTV services you can get, many of them for $5 a month, they have all the channels, sports, ppv, and just get an apk for movies and tv shows.
I use a bent paperclip antenna and picked up twice as many channels as the $100 Walmart 100 mile antenna. All channels are HD now-a-days!
Is sling a good choice if you are not looking for a antenna?
Probably; There's a short but informative article by CNET, _Sling, everything you need to know_ . I got tons of information just from the first paragraph so you don't even have to read the whole thing
If you just want to play videos on your phone or tablet, you can use any online TV service; however if you want it on your TV, you either need to buy a digital antenna and get a rebate, own a smart TV, use a HDMI to hook up a laptop/tablet, Chromecast, or Hulu device.
@@myfridayproject3257 Thank you!!
I like how sleek it looks. You wouldn’t think it was an antenna!
I got mine online paid 6.00 dollars I get 65 channels. How’re you? Hope friends and family are doing well? Stay safe
Good idea!
congrats on the baby
Thanks Deal guy. I think you should be in advertising or actor who does the commercial, you are great at selling something.
What’s the best one for 2021?
Hi Matt Its been a while since I commented... Where is the link to the website where I can pre determine the availability of possible channels available in my neighborhood? If I can cut the cord I would be so happy. Thanks
Debbie Swindell I also couldn’t find the link and want to see what channels are available in my area.
Very genuine! Giving us follow up report on the accident..
Very Funny too!
Great! Can I connect multiple TV's to this antenna ?
No. Each tv needs it's own antenna. Before cable came along, all TVs came with an antenna. If you own a home a roof antenna is the best way to go and each set can be wired to that one antenna.
This antenna is for local channels or international channels you have to explain it for us very well so that we can understand this antenna before we decide to buy it
Can you plug it in a box tv not a flat screen TV
Tell me all about that TV antenna.
Congratulations on your firstborn.
Cool love it, can I get it, leave me a details about it
Thanks Matt, these videos are great and I think that antenna will work out great!
Smart idea
It work in india ? From where we buy ...and who much price brother ...
Thank you!! Any great cell phone deals??
What are you looking for in a cel phone. I have a Nokia Flip phone for sale. Haven't used it in a long time.Used to use it for texting only. For emergency when I was traveling.
Ed
Where are you located. I am in New Brunswick.
Matt, thank you for the long and detailed video! I like how you took your time to unbox and explain the installation, etc!
The filter doesn't provide 'crisp clear' images. Digital TV is all (perfect) or nothing. Nobody broacasts in 4K OTA.
The "digital cliff"....
Deal guy, I would like a fit bit BUT more important my son would love a PS4 and my daughter would love the Roku TV, neither I can afford. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR GREST TIPS
Yeah the video is great. I got mine online paid 6.00 dollars I get 65 channels. How’re you? Hope friends and family are doing well? Stay safe
the key is to pay just for internet only , then why worry about 5000 channels if you don't have time to watch any way.
Does that antenna have a grounding for outdoors, or do you need to get one for it?
Is there a way to record shows from this antenna?
A recorder should pretty much record whatever is connected to its input, just as in the VCR and DVD-R days. But idk what sort of setup you're talking about.
Too any lines and cables! I would like to see one that has a receiver for the back of the TV but transmits the signal from the antenna wirelessly.
