    I agree this was a movie doe the books and the indominus rex was a great villan. Glad to see it in the sultai color combination

      Yeah I would say the sultai color combo is pretty fitting! I would agree!

    I've been a sustainable value player for as long as I can imagine. Birthing pod, the new talion type taxing effects, mnemonic betrayal. Cards that generate value just for existing. And a keyword soup and very pod friendly commander sounds absolutely amazing. I'm current running a zimone and dina pod deck but it lacks, it doesn't have a commander that is dangerous on its own but also can be podded into a threat and Rex is an etb draw engine that I can pod away for 6 drops. That's amazing.
    Plus if done right it'll be a 6/6 haste double strike with extra. That's not a bad beat stick. Two swing clock.
    Honestly I've been wishing talion was sultai cuz he'd had been my bred and butter but I can't have it all. Hoping Rex gets some solid card support and becomes a fun staple

    You forgot about that sweet Goldberry tech to move the counters around. That way everyone gets keywords.

    Since it's a call back to Ikoria's ability counters, going off of the person who mentioned Goldberry. Couldn't the double counters apply to this as well as Ozolith?

    Wizard Class? If you are drawing a bunch of cards when it ETBs you might as well pump it to be a commander damage threat.

    I know its the new spice. But doesnt this just go in the 99 of Mimeoplasm?
    Keyword soup counters. Recoup ur hand. And +1/+1 counters. Perfect!!!

    • @PubStompMTG
      @PubStompMTG  11 месяцев назад

      Definitely can! Fills the graveyard for your mimeoplasm! Good combination together!

    • @BisyBackson365
      @BisyBackson365 11 месяцев назад +1

      @PubStompMTG ye. He does both. He can just be Hardcast. But I mean, but IRA into the bin, then cast The Mimeoplasm >>>he becomes IRA and gets +1/+1counters from the big Timmy chonker that is also binned. He also enters ans u can discard chonkers that are stuck in your hand. Giving Mimeoplasm more key word counters. Then you draw a load of cards

  • @blackzamasu7335

    What about soulflayer and Urborg Scavengers? Very similar text could fit well but does require stuff in graveyard

    • @PubStompMTG
      @PubStompMTG  11 месяцев назад

      That was my biggest problem is that they do require stuff in the graveyard, and indominus rex is at 4 different kinds of pips, making it harder to get out. But in different builds, they can be great!

    What's the likelihood of Indominus Raptor as a legendary creature? I really am interested in it, though I like this card too

    • @PubStompMTG
      @PubStompMTG  11 месяцев назад

      The Indoraptor could potentially be a legendary. It's all going to be based on the jurassic world. So there's a decent possibility

  • @joaov2374
    @joaov2374 11 месяцев назад +1

    I was trying to build indominus a way i could abbuse its self mill and draw. This way i could deck out and win with something like Oracle or jace. That was interesting but idk if going all in on that will do any good

    • @PubStompMTG
      @PubStompMTG  11 месяцев назад

      That was something I was considering too but it may not work the greatest. But its worth testing

    • @only1sn1not1taken
      @only1sn1not1taken 11 месяцев назад +2

      Maybe something with Stinkweed Imp, displacer kitten?

    • @only1sn1not1taken
      @only1sn1not1taken 10 месяцев назад +2

      Actually, just go all in on the Dredge mechanic! You can discard any creature with your commander, even if it doesn't have a keyword. You can use that to get more Dredge creatures into the grave. While you're dredging you may also hit other dredge cards to mill yourself even more. Then you can use a Thassa Deep-Dwelling or Conjurer's Closet during your end step to dredge even more.
      You can use Hermit Druid and Dread Return to pull off Oracle. Then you can use flashback, aftermath, Escape, Eternalize, Retrace. Songs of the Damned ends up being stupid good too.
      Use Tortured Existence to always have a good keyword creatures in your hand and the dredge creatures in grave.
      You could even run the Grist, Metallic Mimic, Agatha's Soul Cauldron combo.

      Going hard on reanimate/clone to recur the ETB might be the way

    • @only1sn1not1taken
      @only1sn1not1taken 10 месяцев назад

      @Master26Productions I was wanting to go with flicker but there seems to be a lack of etb creatures with keywords. Mostly blue flying creatures with a few black deathtouchers. I think reanimate and clones might be the best way. I would still use Thassa, deep-dwelling since it has a keyword and the option to reset your hand with the commander.

  • @EdguyRocketRide
    @EdguyRocketRide 9 месяцев назад +1

    I dont't think cloning will be very good since you don't clone the counters on the permanent...

    • @EdguyRocketRide

    Doesn’t the “as xx enters the battlefield” mean the counters are applied while the card is still a spell? The wording on these cards can be really confusing.

    • @PubStompMTG
      @PubStompMTG  11 месяцев назад

      Yeah, these effects will enter the battlefield simultaneously. So it enters with 5 different counters then draw 5 cards. Hopefully thats what you were asking about haha

    • @RichardQuorvisGardner
      @RichardQuorvisGardner 11 месяцев назад

      I thought that because the counters were applied before it enters the card draw doesn’t happen? Or am I mistaken?

    • @PubStompMTG
      @PubStompMTG  11 месяцев назад

      @@RichardQuorvisGardner yes youll draw the cards because the counters are applied before

    • @only1sn1not1taken
      @only1sn1not1taken 11 месяцев назад +2

      It has the counters as it enters and then the draw trigger goes on the stack. You can respond to the draw trigger to add more counters to it. The number of cards you draw is determined at resolution of the etb.
