For a group that was considered the rejects of kpop they made such a name for themselves and I truly fell in love with them during there run. All of there music is actually so great and its sad to see where they are now i really do miss them, espically fiction that was such a major song and that was when people stopped calling them the rejects of kpop. If anyone can bounce back from the ashes of nothing it is literally this boy group. They've had members leave, there own label turn there back on them, there own set of scandals, the general public against them. They've literally had everything that could be against a group and you know what they made themselves rise from all of that. So I do believe that they can make a comeback and it be so great

Remember before they debuted everyone looked down on b2st and couldn't care less about them because mblaq had more appeal. Turns out..b2st gave us hits after hits...whereas mblaq barely did something.

BEAST was/is one of the power-house groups in KPOP. you might wanna know how big they were, go to any Korean-English based forum. BEAST popularity during 2010-2011 was like BTS' current popularity (in a context).
Imagine, in 2011 we had SNSD with The Boys, BIGBANG with Tonight (underperformed), 2PM with Hands Up, 2NE1 with I'm the best etc, yet they managed to won 2 Daesangs in that year! According to GAON, BEAST Digital sales are the second highest after BIGBANG, with 35M+.
My ultimate bias for the longest time. I remember me sobbing for hours when they announced to change their name to highlight lol. Beast just means so much to me.

But in all seriousness, they were and still are my ultimate bias group after all these years. Beast was the first group i was like okay these are my boys. these are my loves of my life.
And Seeing them live at kcon17 is still like a dream and its been like 3 years now. I honestly have never been so lucky in my entire life. I was lucky enough to get the high touch and getting front row (p1 pit) there really are no words to describe how lucky and happy i was. And seeing your fancam brought back all those emotions like... How lucky can a fan ever be T.T
Even though there are so many groups out there that I love they will always be my number 1.
So i really do hope to see them together again. They did it once i know they can do it again.

gonna have to fight you on the biggest american fan because i def hold that title XD i remember talking to my friend who also liked kpop (really she stanned bigbang, daesung is her ult bias haha) and couldn't believe she didn't know beast, especially because hyunseung was almost in bigbang. internationally beast was underrated 1000% and i'm salty about it because they have consistently been so good.

It is so refreshing to see someone talk about my boys! Bad girl was the first intro to Kpop I ever had, thanks to one of my good friends. And I fell in love with Beast then. It wasn't a super smooth follow for me, I would occasionally check up to see where my guys were. I freaked out for a second when I went to check up on how they were and saw that they were no longer known as Beast, but super relieved they were still around as Highlight. Although it breaks my heart for them not to all still be together, I am looking forward to them making a comeback! Forever in my heart. Thanks for the videos!

They werent just the comeback kings, they were king of fan love and service. The amount of thought they put back then for fans and the things they did for them was always praised. B2uties were always known to be one of the most loyal and humble fandoms at the time

Thank you very much for introducing beast and highligh! Both beast and highlight, they are a very good combination, they sing well, and show their talents in different fields. Hope, as you said, their return is the return of the king. I believe they will get better and better. I love them very much. I love them for 10 years. I discovered B2ST in 2011 and i think the first song i heard was beautiful? I haven't had a bias back then (and still haven't) but Doojoon has my heart a lot

omggg this video is one hell of a throwback. you're reminding me of why i was so crazy about b2st when i was in school ;0;
thanks for making this video. it was such a great reminder. i started following b2st since debut and i loved every single comeback. i didn't have a favorite member until much later. dongwoon quickly became my favorite bc he was the underdog. he grew so much as a vocalist. i think i started falling out of them around the time hyunseung left (which is really unfortunate bc his vocals were one of the biggest identities for b2st, next to yoseob). i got really into bts, and b2st's new sound was outside of my interest. however, their songs as highlight are more interesting than i thought. especially due to this video, i think ill be really looking forward to their comeback and supporting them any way i can.

i’ve stanned them since 2012, damn such a long time. i’ve been with them through many paths, successes, i remember all the memories. until junhyung left the group, i almost broke down that time, i couldn’t hold my tears in. but i soon got over it amd kept on supporting them. and again, when i know that junhyung had left the group because of burning sun’s scandal, i totally broke down. that was really a tough time i’ve been through. but the tougher time i’ve been, the more appreciative i feel for my memories with them. anyway, i still support them now, still a light, i just love them.

B2ST was *That* group that got me into Kpop. I knew about GG, SUJU and Big Bang but I wasn't as attracted to those groups compared to Beast. I wasn't even looking for them either, they were performing at an award show right after SuJu and I was like "who are they and how can I find out more." I'm hoping one day they're reunite and maybe have a tour where they all perform together once more. They're the only group I'm dying to see perform live 😭

Friend got into Kpop we watched some b2st but never got too into them although beautiful night was the jam still. We mostly followed troublemaker and were sad when it broke up. After b2st reformed into highlight though I got really into them and the song please don’t be sad meant a lot to me.

Thank you. the story about cat has many lifes is perfectly tell about them. they through a lot but still standing top. they got called names as recycle group at debut but coming on top being the 1st ever daesang from small company (out of Big3) and all those achievements you mentioned already👀👍 with The lovable King Yang Yoseob now after his appearance on Mask Singer, had 8 consecutive wins. got titled The Healing Expert King, become the overall participants ranked 2nd and idol participants rank 1st!!! indeed Yang Yoseob 's voice can save lifes. Yoon Doojoon, Lee Gikwang and ofc Yang Yoseob got booked even before finished their military and got the job right after released, being MCs, in reality show, tv appearance here and there, truly showing how still big and loved they are at least in korea. and dongwoon also got appearance in tv as well. Yoon doojoon 's mukbang show yummymelody got awarded for 3 categories : entertainment, f&b, lifestyle and also platinum winner for highest prize for We-based Production. indeed King behavior. we are waiting for the king HIGHLIGHT comeback album 😍👑💕

I found beast sometime during my first year of highschool in 2010 and still love them to this day. I loved Junhyung and Yoseob so so much during that time and it broke my heart when I learned that Junhyung was apart of the group chat with the burning sun videos... Nevertheless, I'll still support Highlight no matter what. One day, maybe Jyunhyung will work together with Highlight again....the songs he created were amazing and it's such a shame if his career ended...I hope he's repented on his actions.

Tbvh i missed all of their quality releases and stages. I love how they are just eating the stage everytime they are performing with their live vocals. Its something that im not able to experience now with other and newer kpop groups. Kpop nowadays are losing its value to me with everyone is just focusing on numbers and not quality. Most of them are also never bother singing live on stage anymore making their whole performance seems dead and similar with everyone else. I would love to see Beast/Highlight back on their game to keep kpop alive

i know it's kinda an old video but why nobody is talking about Hyunseung? nobody stans him now, after all the things that happened with him and his career as a singer...everyone forgot him. i know kpop fans support hyuna and edawn relationship, but hyunseung received a lot of hate last year for something that was a long time ago. he wasn't even related to hyuna anymore but everyone bring him up when they talk about hyuna and edawn. hyunseung dropped a song on July 2017 AND SOME FANS HAD TO CONVINCE OTHER KPOP FANS TO SUPPORT HIM OR AT LEAST GIVE HIM A CHANCE. he's a great singer and artist, so please if you're a real fan or at least you're interested in kpop, give him an opportunity, support him. he's a great dancer and idol, he had his reasons to leave beast/highlight, but he did his best.❤️
i don't like thinking of the time hyunseung left. still hurts my heart. he was never my favorite out of the group, but he is so incredibly talented and deserves so much support. makes me bummed out that even idols don't support him except for gd and top (i really love seeing gdragon giving hyunseung love and support!). i knew people brought him up in regards to hyuna and dawn but i just saw comments saying hyuna has a type since dawn and hyunseung look similar/give the same vibes and it was rumored that hyuna and hyunseung had a thing. i didn't read anything negative about them. (personally i would kill for a troublemaker comeback but i know there is no way in hell that will happen even though it would be HUGE since even now co-ed groups and collabs don't happen often)

I am happy to see this compilation. Being sincere, Beast / HighLight was highly criticized but loved by the B2utys and Light's. It hurts to see them again in this video and remember them. to know more about them together even though they were six, then five now four. I'll wait for you even if it's only one ... I can't belive kpop stans nowdays doesn't know about beast/highlight. Literally everybody knows songs like fiction,shock and good luck in korea. They were the one of the first boy group from a non big 3 company to get a daesang. There one of the few groups where every member is both handsome and really talented (check out their mr removed). Unfortunately because their rapper yong nunhyung left they might disband but hopefully not. (And also you forgot 12:30)

i agree, 2011 Fiction got me interested in kpop, song and dance, before that i was just only fans of MJ since 4 y.o. And up until now, i only following B2ST, they left me with... an unusual impression that i will always cherish.

tbh fans don't have to know or like kpop because of beast, everybody get into kpop for diffferent groups, different era, different music or different reasons. if they like kpop because of different groups it's okay because times are always changing and everybody have a different taste and preference for music.
I think because of kpopers nowadays (my sister is the perfect example) is 00-07 liner. And that's why their preference automatically directed to EXO/BTS (as the biggest boygroup). I remember back then I show my sister Ribbon mv, and she likes it. But she says, "But they're old, I prefer Jungkook oppa," 😂. Sorry if they old sis, we can't help it 😂

Agree. There were some notable parts that he missed.
@@helo9885 A little late, but Gikwang's solo wasn't as successful as expected by the company and Gikwang himself. (He was gaining traction by dabbling into acting, but he probably wasn't financially performing up to par in recouping costs and lowering the financial risks taken on by Cube at the time.) Gikwang and other Beast members did share a little bit about how they became a group in their reality show on preparing their debut.
The members struck up the idea of becoming a group while Doojoon, Junhyung and Yoseob were backup dancers for Gikwang. They reasoned the idea that uniting as a group would strengthen their respective shortcomings as performers/singers and showcase a more unique identity among their peers ( In their early days, the members leaned towards more of a masculine, brooding image. That was considered more niche when there were few boy groups going that direction (MBLAQ, 2PM, HOMME, for example) back then. Plus, a win-win when it comes to all the members getting a second chance debuting. The company was super against forming a boy group because they were wary of the members' physicality + "it" factor for their identity as performers while balancing their priority of getting a strong foothold for 4minute and the risk associated with being a startup music label. Nevertheless, the company relented and took a risk on them.
