I had to stop taking it. I wouldn't sleep for days. I would fall asleep, but would wake up frequently. My fitbit would say 2 hrs sleep. Then I would skip taking it and would get blinding headaches.

I recently lost 30 lb on Saxenda, which is victoza at a higher dose.. However, My gallbladder got severely infected and I developed thousands of gallstones very quickly. Could be just from weight loss but this is a side effect of the injectable diabetic medications. It can also affect the pancreas. My enzymes for both gallbladder and pancreas were very elevated. I had to get my gallbladder removed. I also developed two other weird issues that also needed immediate surgery. My doctor decided probably not a good choice for me. I am not a diabetic. I just started Qsymia. My insurance covered both, but it had to be pre-approved. In my situation, you have to be a certain BMI and have at least one other comorbidity such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, etc. I had both as a result of weight. Before menopause I weighed 140. I ballooned to 220. I have already lost 30, aiming for another 35.

Exactly all of those injection weight loss medication‘s so many people have G.I. problems it’s insane some people were paralyzed. Some people were just messed up for life and I’m sorry think about it. I know you’re ingesting the pills as well but like I said, phentermine and Topamax are like on the lower spectrum, but they’ve been around That Olympic and all that new stuff that’s been out I just can’t do it. I can’t inject myself with that stuff long-term and if you look at all these entertainers, they look sick Kim Kardashian all these people that you can tell that they went and got Ozempic. It does not look like it’s a healthy weight loss.

Clare, concise & straightforward. My doctor prescribed Phentermine. I can not contact him directly but only through an online portal and through his nurse. I am not allowed any conversations or discussions with him. I’m in the U.S. In any case, I’m trying to find out more prior to taking it but will SEE Mt doctor in JUly for a checkup appt. & that will be a time for real discussion. I have a small aortic aneurysm & perhaps his nurse in the portal but perhaps it’s still okay. At 75 yrs everyone assumes people aren’t going to last long & treatment can be different. Just an observation here where I am. This video was well thought out (I’m saving it to watch again) and presentation excellent. If losing weight were easy, I suppose we’d all be slender . Honestly I've tried losing weight so many times I lost count even when I was young running 10 miles everyday and playing football I wasn't skinny still had a stomach and I never thought about trying a drug to assist.
I wish Ozembic/Rybelsus/Wegovy were not so ridiculously expensive. I think $800-$1800 per month is a little on the ridiculous side. Shows how fat people (340#, 5'11") like myself keep getting screwed. And before you attack me, yes I work out daily (lift), I walk/jog 10000 steps and eat 2100 calories daily, no carbs, intermittently fast (2 week), and still lose nothing.
Radio Ku5e. Don’t listen to any of the haters. You keep working out eating well and things will change for you. Our bodies hormonal system is delicate and take a long time to repair. You might want to consider having your hormone panel blood work done. You may just need a simple thyroid boost or maybe b12. Keep up the good work
I started Ozempec ( 1 week 25mg, I am not diabetic) 2 days ago, and I was a little nervous because of the side affects but then again what medication Dosent have side effects. I had been on Phetermine off and on for a couple of years and it worked great until about 1 year ago( 39 yes old) man am I having so much trouble loosing weight now!!! Diet, exercise, I’ve been trying everything. This is the heaviest I’ve been, I have 2 kids ( 21& 9) and I didn’t weigh this much even when I was pregnant. I am 40 yrs old now , 180lbs. Hopefully I can get back to loosing at least 20lbs and get back to being healthy and mor energized.

I took phentermine and lost 60lbs then it basically stopped working. I started taking it a year or two later to help me lose weight again and it literally affects my bladder so badly and my bowel movements… I took ozempic, and it made me nauseous… but I wasn’t on it long enough so I don’t know if it would have helped me…
I don’t know how your bodies are made, but Phentermine does absolutely nothing to me as far as a side effect when I take phentermine I just know that I’ve taken it because it just basically cuts out my appetite of wanting to eat. My blood pressure doesn’t go up I do not have any High rate heartbeat I am never angry. It doesn’t change my mood and I’m on the highest milligram of Inter me 37.5 mg and my doctor just prescribed me Topamax 25 mg so I’m taking both and both are absolutely great so I guess I’m just blessed that I’m not having any complications like everybody else but I’ve taken Phentermine before in the past and I’ve never had a problem with it either.
Same here! I was one of the people who had no problems with my heart from it. From what I understand some people ended up with mitral valve prolapse. For me, it was amazing.

Maria, if you change your diet you can do this without medication and no side effects. Relying on pills and then you stop you go back you are 100 percent correct.
I did lose weight on Ozempic , used it for glucose control. I was scared about the thyroid cancer by rat. I have to say I have stop losing weight, but have maintained weight.
I tried ozempic and I felt like I was sedated I just couldn’t do it I literally could barely move and I didn’t loose much from lack of energy. I could take the nausea etc. but the muscle weakness and energy loss was unbearable.

I am type one and on basal & bolus insulin. Can these drugs work for me to lose weight. And with cravings ?? I feel like I’m never full now. I’ve gained lots of weight after being diagnosed with Type 1/1/2. Or late onset type one.
It works really well. I was part of a test study for Contrave and it worked very well, especially for the cravings. Unfortunately for me, after about 6 weeks I developed an allergic reaction to it, as in anaphylactic swelling in the throat, so I had to drop out of the study. It also caused some stomach pain and cramping which I understand is a common side effect.

The absolute best hunger control meds were the phen phen combo. Pondimen was outlawed in the U.S. years ago. I took it for four months. I was able to eat one meal a day, and a very small meal, and not be hungry at all. Since then I have tried phentermine twice without pondimen, and it helped some, but not like when coupled with it. People who are morbidly obese are in far more danger from that, than from potential heart valve issues they claimed pondimen may cause.
Hello, I had quick question as a diabetic. I was diagnosed as a diabetic when I was 18. It has been 7 year since I received the diagnosis, but for the past 3 years I have not taken a single dose of insulin... now am I still type 1 diabetic. Would love an explanation to this. At first they told me it was a honeymoon faze and now they have taken me off insulin for over 3 years.
It is probably LADA which is type 1.5 diabetes but you need little more testing. if you still have Cpeptide in reference range you more than likely have type 1.5 unlesss you are obese then type 2 is a good possibility.

They work about the same IMO, the biggest difference is whether you want anger as a side effect of phentermine or anxiety with phendimetrazine.

It doesn’t change my mood and I’m on the highest milligram of Inter me 37.5 mg and my doctor just prescribed me Topamax 25 mg so I’m taking both and both are absolutely great so I guess I’m just blessed that I’m not having any complications like everybody else but I’ve taken Phentermine before in the past and I’ve never had a problem with it either.

I had the most harsh reactions from taking GOLO. I am not sure why. I think it is because of a prescription medication I am on did not do well with it.

Maria, if you change your diet you can do this without medication and no side effects. Relying on pills and then you stop you go back you are 100 percent correct.
I did lose weight on Ozempic , used it for glucose control. I was scared about the thyroid cancer by rat. I have to say I have stop losing weight, but have maintained weight.

I tried ozempic and I felt like I was sedated I just couldn’t do it I literally could barely move and I didn’t loose much from lack of energy. I could take the nausea etc. but the muscle weakness and energy loss was unbearable.

It works really well. I was part of a test study for Contrave and it worked very well, especially for the cravings. Unfortunately for me, after about 6 weeks I developed an allergic reaction to it, as in anaphylactic swelling in the throat, so I had to drop out of the study. It also caused some stomach pain and cramping which I understand is a common side effect.

The absolute best hunger control meds were the phen phen combo. Pondimen was outlawed in the U.S. years ago. I took it for four months. I was able to eat one meal a day, and a very small meal, and not be hungry at all. Since then I have tried phentermine twice without pondimen, and it helped some, but not like when coupled with it. People who are morbidly obese are in far more danger from that, than from potential heart valve issues they claimed pondimen may cause.

I was diagnosed as a diabetic when I was 18. It has been 7 year since I received the diagnosis, but for the past 3 years I have not taken a single dose of insulin... now am I still type 1 diabetic.
Would love an explanation to this. At first they told me it was a honeymoon faze and now they have taken me off insulin for over 3 years.
It is probably LADA which is type 1.5 diabetes but you need little more testing. if you still have Cpeptide in reference range you more than likely have type 1.5 unlesss you are obese then type 2 is a good possibility.

Add LDN to Wellbutrin. I think the combination is called Coltrax. Anyways, I take LDN for pain and it controls my appetite
