As great as a scene this is, it never made sense to me why they put Paul Walker's character in on the raid. He's deep undercover. Pretty sure they wouldn't risk an asset with the potential of him being shot during the raid.
Perhaps it was so that if they even needed him to testify in a court of law, he could then legally say that the man arrested was the exact same man from his undercover investigation.
