My grandmother showed me that when you separate seedlings if you're having trouble with the roots you can put the whole bunch into a bowl of water! It washes all the dirt off and helps tease the roots apart

i am truly blessed to have a wife with an extremely huge green thumb and im sure if you two ever got together you could make rocks grow. it took us 3 days to go from seed to 1 inch tall tomato plants it is still after all these years a joy to watch nature at work.
Just wanted you to know how inspired I was with your garden @ the homestead in Arkansas last year . I fell in love with your Tangerine Skies Arbor Rose . I finally found it @ Heirloom Roses & it wasn't cheap , but I wanted it so badly ! Every time I checked - it was out of stock . FINALLY yesterday I was able to order 2 of them !!! I am so excited ~ I turned 73 on March 1st , they are a special birthday present to myself . I will think of you & your bubbly laugh every time I admire them ! I BLESS YOU !
Jess, I put out a message on Facebook right after Christmas encouraging folks to start their garden. I told people that I would start seeds for them so they wouldn’t have to go to a big box store. I would nurture their seedlings I would a pot them and they would be nice and strong and ready for planting by April 18. TEN families jumped on board! I have a giant picture window in the living room. There are 300 some odd solo cups on trays with amazing varieties of tomatoes peppers flowers squash cucumber cantaloupe basil. I feel like I’ve encouraged more folks to start a garden this year. I am so excited for this harvest and I’m praying abundance over each of us!

So funny story, the alocasia dark star ⭐️ I have a giant one, well my son does now cause my home light wise was dying. My son moved out a year ago and has a 3rd floor walk up apt in Scranton pa, the ceiling and lighting were made for her, lol nicknamed Ally. I didn’t know that’s what it was called! I was a deadhead lol 😂 and he is now and I had no idea that was the name of that alocasia! I learn cool things all the time from ya Jess! You are truly a blessing! ✌🏻🙏🏼❤️

Hi Jess! Good morning from Independence, Kansas! Just a quick note about that cute little greenhouse and heating. I have one of those and it is 10 x 15 (150 sq ft) and in this past super freeze it was down to single digits here and I have a tiny ceramic heater ($20 @ Walmart) and it kept our "big flimsy greenie" at a constant 75° and didn't kill our electric bill! Next post I will hopefully send you the 60 mph wind damage X 3 ( 3 different days) and how we repaired it. Keep on growin'! Sincerely, Doc Fuzz

That is a beautiful green house! You won't believe what I got in the mail today......peanut butter tree! Lol! It's true! They have quarter size fruit and it's suppose to taste like peanut butter. Right now it only has two leaves so it will be awhile.
I call the days when I don’t do anything sabbath. They are days that are such a blessing for me and keep me focused on the real reason for everything the rest of the week

I always love watching birds of prey. It’s so fun to watch them hunt. Last night we had a hawk just sitting in one of our trees just chilling. I’m so happy to see you so excited. I am sharing your excitement today because I get to start my seeds this next week. I’m going to go get my soil tonight!
We have an Osprey that goes fishing in our pond! I am about an hour and twenty minutes from you! We also have a pair of Eagles that live at the far end of our thirteen-acre pond. It's such a blessing to see God's creatures doing their thing!

Jess, I start extra seeds to make sure I get what I want for my garden and protect against low germination, but I SAVE those extra plants just to spread the joy of gardening and give them away to pals! Got a balcony, limme give you this plant and that plant and show you how to grow it! XD Ha!

The bird sounds like an osprey with the call that sounds like a whistle.
I believe the bird is an osprey, they hover over the water and when they see a fish they dive for it. They are successful one out of 10 dives.

I agree. I live in Indiana and we have a mated pair who live on our lake during the summer. There is a live webcam that covers their nest.
Ospreys are often found inland. Wherever there are lakes and rivers.
I had to look up ospreys and it definitely could be one they are huge birds

Ahh, its great to see you feeling better, along with being rejuvenated by the warmer temps and ability to really dig into garden prep again. Miah - yay! So happy to see you - to be honest, I miss your Sunday night lives because it was a chance to hear more from you as a couple but I also understand that given how hectic your schedules are, along with how frequently you have guests these days, that it's not realistic to pick it back up....but these glimpses are like gold :D

Jess, I start extra seeds to make sure I get what I want for my garden and protect against low germination, but I SAVE those extra plants just to spread the joy of gardening and give them away to pals! Got a balcony, limme give you this plant and that plant and show you how to grow it! XD Ha!

Can always use a little heater in the portable Green house,on cold nights
