Thank you so much! Reaper is a good option for me. Here in Brazil, even the cheapest daw is about R$1K -2K, 1 dollar is equal to 5 units of the currency here and our minimum wage is about 1.2K. For those that like to make music as a hobby here is crazy in terms of money
So glad you made this video. You have beEn a huge help when it comes to Reaper in general, especially when making beats. I have fell in love with this DAW, but have been in kind of a slump when it comes to creativity the last week or so. Saw this video, loaded up the template, and I am vibin' now! Keep it up! I love your channel! KEEP THE GOOD VIBES ALIVE!
Haha 😂 I think that's the essence of what I can teach as far as making a beat in Reaper is concerned, so if anyone watches this video he'll know everything you need to know
@@ElbowEddie right, I downloaded fl studio but i don't necessarily have a lot of time to learn a new daw and I've been using reaper for 10 plus years, the other day I added some violin's to a piano instrumental and was like (why couldn't I make beats here instead lol
hi, really great video! im looking forward to making beats and i follow all the instructions here in your video but there is no audio from reaper, to say, that i got to the point in the video where you are making the snare but there is no sound coming from it. i have tried to reset midi from inside preferences, have monitoring on, even am using the same reaper theme you are using here, and still no sound. could it be because i am using an audio interface instead of one for midi? furthermore i have tried to enable the microsfot wavetable synth and under the "enable" there is just a dot, though on the right click it it checked to be enabled, and is unable to be reset for some reason. could it be because i am using the midi from inside reaper? do i need to have a dedicated midi interface or keyboard for this and is otherwise impossible to make from inside reaper? possibly that there is no sound coming from it because i am using an interface that does not have a midi in / out (i am using the evo4)? would you kindly help me? i hope to hear from you as i think your videos are great help and have scoured the internet for a fix for this but to no avail so i am really out of options here and is driving me crazy jajaja
I've gat a question,it might sound wierd but I need a reply cause it's giving me issues I use reaper and I've gat some free plugins downloaded eg keyzone classic, nda piano, ample guitar lite cause I saw producers on RUclips using them and it sounds very good. But when I play them on reaper it plays really fast which is not meant to be,even when I'm playing on a 130 bpm the chords progression moves like I'm on 220 bpm I watched a guy on RUclips make a polo g beat using keyzone classic on 155bpm the chord progression moves gently But coming to mine I tried replicating the Same chord progression but it plays as if it's 250bpm. I know it sounds wierd is there something I'm not getting right Maybe in the settings of how notes should be played, please I need an answer? Thanks.
@@WodzuBeats no p man I've figured out the issue When I insert new midi it's only 2 bars, but the way reaper zooms it in makes it look like it is like 8 bar or more,so I was trying to make a 10 bar chord progression in just 2 bars,so I figured it out and streched the piano roll out the more. Thanks.
Great vid as always man, but to be honest, i kinda want to see not just the beat making, but also the post processing, with the same fl studio approach. As am pretty sure its very difficult for people switching to get the hang of it. A huge problem I had when switching to reaper is this : In fl studio, putting fruity soft clipper on the master is litterally half your beat, and every single person on earth with fl does that. In reaper, we dont have such a thing, and without it, i feel like my production doesnt sound as professional as it used to. I also think we should have a dedicated video to the stock reaper compressor as its very easy to turn such a powerful tool, into something that works against your will.
And speaking about post-production - I don't talk about everything since I just simply want more people to have lessons with me. These kind of tutorial videos take hours to make and I can't give all my "secrets" away. On the other hand I want this channel to be more about production than post-production (even though I've made a few videos about mixing beats including my latest big mixing tutorial)
Glad you liked the video, man! I'm not really keen on reading cyrylics, but I've used Google Translate. I've recently switched to Maschine, but I'm definitely not abandoning Reaper 😉 More videos are yet to come
That pad starting at 20:38 reminds me of Eminem - Lose yourself ) Thank you for the video! At first i was like "Now way, Wodzu wants to make videos on making beats in FL because that will get more views than a Reaper one!", but then I read the title properly =) And thanks for Softube giveaway info, I totally missed that one. +getting hard times to fit everything in description at once )
My 808s keep making a clicking/poppin sound. Especially when I put them in piano role. I eq,take off release and put sustain up,but don’t know why it does this.
Bruhh I respect and appreciate the video but try to not talk as much my G I get lost... I am more for wanting to creating the actual track, whatever you need to explain do so later my nigga or as you cooking up da beat....
thank u, in the last few years i ended up using more hardware (like modular) and experimental stuff like tidal cycles and supercollider but i also wanted to know how to get back making beats but using reaper which i use for my other projects. now i have a way 🤌 excited to use modular made 808 type sounds in this straight forward template

Really good video!!!
Thanks, hope i could help!
there is a more intuitive and easy way to do this? like, the only way to do it is with that template?
No, you can create your own template
