I actually just started working this into my swing before I even saw this video, you just reconfirmed my theories! Its completely simplified my swing, its become a one thought swing and that is setting those wrists to start my swing and now I'm hitting a draw and the distance I've added is insane. Not only do I find it to be a powerful movement but I've been incorporating it with all my clubs and I find I'm finding center even more frequently before. This is great advice!
This is exactly what I thought. It's added 30 yards to my driver, and about 5-10 to every iron in my bag. I struggled with an open face causing a push with a fade, putting the ball way off target before, but just getting the feeling of bowing the wrist has caused almost all of my shots to be straight, or a very controlled draw. I love this.
Love the tee under the watchband idea! I also try to make sure that my right elbow (RH golfer) is closer to my body as that also helps to keep my left wrist flat.
This is exactly what I need. I get a lot of rotation and push towards the target and I always feel like there isn't time to get the club squared. It makes sense now!
Great looking drill. I know I cup at the top of my swing and hit a fade so looking forward to giving this a try. Also looking forward to the lesson in a couple of weeks 👍
It was a personal statement of fact. I realise that what is funny to me may not be to you. But I wanted the world to know nonetheless. Perhaps I wanted to find some small level of kinship with a fellow man who found it funny also. Evidently that person wasn't you. You're one of those guys people politely make excuses to at parties so that they don't have to talk to you and listen to your meaningless and mind-numbing inane drivel. "Yikes".
Great tip! Saw your earlier video with Dustin, great job, but I think you should study his knee flex. When I swing, I am almost standing straight legged, but feel like I'm flexed like Adam Scott. But I'm not. I'm 60 years old, sadly. Hunched back, straight legged, no rotation. But when I play, you know what!? It beats the crap out of working, mates!!
Playing around with this wrist angle at top of backswing, coming from a tennis perspective…. load and release , passing thru the 'slot'. Feels nice…. results need some work!
Besides the bowed wrist, if you want to emulate DJ's swing there are 3 more things he does that makes your task almost impossible 1. Lift your hands high above your head (2plane swing) 2. Keep the left arm tightly against the chest and ramrod straight( notice how his left elbow is hyperextended) 3. And this is the killer, with a ramrod straight left arm and bowed wrist, rotate your shoulders so the club shaft is parallel to the ground at the top. That requires at least a 120 degree shoulder turn. Good luck to you and your back..lol
Stephen Sylvester DJ has very bowed wrists with his irons and wedges as well, so if you are someone who hits a fade or can't control the fade with irons I couldn't see why this wouldn't work with irons too
Hi there guys! Could you please do a video on maintaining your spine angle throughout the swing? I find that I am erecting my spine as I execute the downswing! Love the videos! #meandmygolf #swinganalysis #impactshow
An alternative to the golf tee is an old credit card or hotel room key and you can shove it underneath your golf glove. You can actually hit shots with that to keep your wrist flat.
I think putting a tee in the watch strap would give a person good reason to get that wrist shape through a swing. lol I mean, it's sort of SAW(the movie)-like, but it might work well. Make the tee steel...and maybe barbed :) That was an awesome little tip though in all seriousness. I was trying to imitate the different grips (which isn't easy being a lefty....have to translate everything lol) but resigned myself to having to watch the video 4 or 5 times to get it right. But the tee thing....got it.
Tristan O'Rourke it's funny because I thought I always had a more neutral grip with my driver.. I suffer with over draws if I don't rotate my body fast enough.
Akhail Singh feel vs real. Grip can appear different dependant on you hand position at setup. If you have forward hands at setup grip can look weaker than it is so need to have club straight out in front of you to evaluate.
A buddy of mine is the longest hitter I've seen in my life and he does that same thing on his backswing. I never knew that Dustin Johnson does that as well. I want to try it but I may end up butchering my already questionable swing mechanics.
One thing about DJ's swing that would NOT work for me is the left leg movement....right leg for me. I start throwing my knee out there like that and things will go wrong quickly.
Do these video drills actually work.? All these new clubs to help putting sand play pitching and the golf do they really work.? Magic properties so they claim. You will be the next Harold Houdini - Tiger Woods - Jack Nicklaus. Unfortunately 90 - 100 shots scores still happen.
listen to these two getting into a certain wrist position at the top well good luck.they will screw your game up big time ..... you two should come with a warning as some of the stuff you are saying is not realistic .....

Oldie but excellent content!👊

Love this tip
Dustin Johnson is a monster. Nobody does a bowed wrist like he does.
Why has this video not gotten more views. That intro!😂😂😂
That has to be one of the funniest intros I've ever seen. lol

It wasn't subjective. I experienced it. I thought it was funny. Fact.
You're a spanner. Run along.
Are you a simpleton?
I thought it was funny too. It's a fact that I thought it was funny too.
@Harvey7878 Youre such a chode Harvey. The intro was hilarious.
Looks like a great drill 👍
Great video
Great drill 👍
I really been working on that even doing to similar to DJ and it had helped so much
Great tip!

Damn this is great guys, really good feed back if your wrist is cuffed.
Great job boys. My favourite (smurfs) put in another awesome video. PS Looking good fellas. Keep up the awesome work.
Great insight

Is this for driving only or can you use the bowed wrist on irons too if your slicing?
What app are you using, on your iPad, to track your swing numbers?
Besides the bowed wrist, if you want to emulate DJ's swing there are 3 more things he does that makes your task almost impossible

Any tips on feels to get bowed? If I use only my right arm and body and let my left arm just stay limp I can do this, but it feels weak as a swing
What putter does piers have in the bag
Is the bowed wrist something to work with only when hitting driver or for iron shots as well?
Stephen Sylvester DJ has very bowed wrists with his irons and wedges as well, so if you are someone who hits a fade or can't control the fade with irons I couldn't see why this wouldn't work with irons too
Thanks Kyle appreciate the insight.

Envy this swing :O
Make people envy *your* swing.
Hey Andy, hows you're wrist doing?

Flexed wrist is a big challenge for me. Cupped wrist feels much more natural.
With my driver I can't use a bowed wrist like with my irons, I have to cup it to get my driver square at the top..?
Akhail Singh that's caused by a strong top hand grip (left hand if you're right handed golfer)
I’m having trouble learning that 125mph driver swing
is there a tee in your left shoe, too.

⭐️⭐️⭐️
love the video...really need to stop matching outfits though.
I feel like seeing it is wonderful, so I would like to hear what I translated. Someone, I want you to translate.
What do I do wrong if my shots is going vary far to the right
Mads Torp Kruse use a stronger grip
Akhail Singh what is a strengere grips. I have the taylormade Pai Irons. And the Grips that fits from the Fabric
Mads Torp Kruse it is not the material, it's the way you hold the club, put your hands more to the right of the club, closes the face
I will tre that thanks
Man, please take lessons from your local pro. It helps so much better than random tips off the internet.
most amatures dont know what position de rwrist is in at the top

There must be 50 ways to swing your golf club, jack.
My swing was like dj
What happened?
I used to have a really bowed wrist and standing up on the way down ive got it pretty much fixed
I like the wrist slightly bowed
Can you have Dustin wear your cute little outfits?
Mmmm...nice outfits lads...hahaha...seriously??
