I have this aspect in my natal chart, and I just found out today that my first love had his Pluto Square my Sun. It was one of the most pivotal, agonizing and transformational encounters of my life.
It was totally consuming.

The guy I have this with:
- shared his childhood trauma stories with me from our first conversation, and showed great interest in my own
- was a bit too comfortable with physical contact towards me in ways that felt domineering (cheek squeezing, touching my neck, picking me up etc.)
- I suspect he must have stalked me at least twice
Like Jewel said, I shut down our connection early on (because of these red flags) but I admit I still think about him very often...

Sun conjunct moon is so highly recommend in synastry, but if some unfortunate fellow does that with my moon, he'll be squaring my pluto. Oh well.
My Pluto squares my partners cancer Sun. He is 14 years older(Saturn opp Saturn too). So no fear of being older as I’m the younger person, but my Natel Pluto is opp moon and his natel pluto is square the moon. I expect the unexpected and don’t take no person for granted , meaning - Despite age or looks any one being much older or younger is a potential to cause you pain! I'm the sun person and he is the pluto, which surprised me having been through 12 years of Pluto transiting my ascendant capricorn. As soon as this guy walked into the room, I knew he was going to be one of the biggest lessons of my life. I was already in the tail end of a 10 yr obsession with someone else. I resisted for 6 months and then met up with him, ending the previous obsession in a flash and falling for this guy heavily. I believe I did a lot of learning through my pluto transit and obsession with the other person (not a dangerous obsession just unable to get him off my mind for all those years). I grew, transformed. But in the 8 months since meeting up with this new guy, I have learned some hard lessons. But some amazing learning despite the deep emotional and mental turmoil and anguish I have gone through this year so far. We arent in a relationship, just a very magnetic connection where I can feel his moods and energy most days. At the moment we appear to be on a time out lol its is too intense for both of us. I have this with someone where there is a psychic connection - on multiple levels. Never have experienced anything like it. I can feels his moods and I'm assuming he can feel me at times. But he ended up blocking the connection, all I feel is cold energy now. So I am trying to focus on my life and release the connection. It's hard because it started out so loving. I'm Pluto.

I don't like this aspect in synastry my sun squares the pluto in scorpio generation it just feels heavy be it relationships, neighbors, work colleagues alot of love/hate power struggles at least i know why i just didnt get along with them il stay away from it from now on.
I always hear the Pluto person is the more controlled obsessed one? But I feel like suns initiate it and are more obsessed and then towards the end Pluto is more obsessed.

You're amazing, you made me understand the why's behind a karmic soul mate relationship I seem not being over with yet, even if we are in this for 8 years. I'm the pluto person in this case scenario, a typical plutonic relationship adding to it, neptunian aspects to personal planets, 8th house sun in composite charts... But we have positive and supportive aspects too with the nodes, mercure, saturn, moon, Mars etc, we help ourselves heal and grow but we can't be together because it's too much to bare, a constant push and pull, but I'm afraid he's suffering the most. I have my moon surrounded by saturn and pluto so I have a natural resistance to pain I guess. But now I need to reach the bottom of this and be liberated once and for all, scares the sh*t out of me, but I guess I have no choice but to surrender to it and let it hit me fully.

Hi Jewel, I loved your video!!! It answered a few questions about this aspect that I have with my 7 years younger boyfriend. My Pluto squares his sun, conjunct his ascendant and his sun conjuncts my Pluto. We both have plutonic energies, however he also has a lot of Saturn energy in the mix. His Venus in Capricorn is unaspected and it conjunct my Neptune at 0 degrees, sextiles my Pluto, semi-square my sun and sextiles my Venus. What's amazing that you mentioned was the transformation that Pluto will provide for the Sun. In the beginning there was a lot of insecurity on my behalf due to a recent relationship he had just got out off and caused him a lot of pain. Anywho, there was a moment of truth the led my feelings getting hurt and I wanted him to leave and he refused. That night he held me and whispered in my ear how much he needed me in his life, that he knows that I will bring great change to him and help him become a better person, because of this he would not let me go or have anything get in between us. It's been 10 months now and the feeling of being a "fish out of water" when we are apart through out the day and intensity is still in continuation... I never would of thought the age differences would be a play a role in it.

Everyone around my age has a Pluto that squares my sun, including myself. Those a little older than me have a Pluto that’s opposite my moon. Maybe this is why all my relationships are shit lol

Just started dating someone and we have this. Same degree. I'm Pluto definitely have a lot of may trauma up for me. Wanting very much to already be with them even though it's way way too early. I have Saturn/Pluto conjunct in my 1st and quincunx my Sun so I have so many control issues already. I’m the sun person. After over 10+ years I had to cut it off. It’s been about a month since I’ve told him I couldn’t do this nonsense anymore and it’s HARD for me. I’ve wanted to reach out numerous times but I’m sticking to my guns this time. In the past I would tell him I couldn’t do it then come back a few months later. I had this, I was sun and they were Pluto. Of course there's so many things that play a part. There was a significant age difference. I pursued her heavily. We really couldn't be together long term but we both wanted it. After both of us have acknowledged that it couldn't be, they couldn't let go. I tried but they would pull me back. Eventually, I just ghosted because it was the only way. Very, very powerful, but painful.

wouldn't a person who has a natal sun square plot aspect have this aspect with like everyone in her/his age group? i've noticed most ppl dislike me, and some ppl really, really like me. gets a little weird.
I failed to mention that this aspect does have a generational effect. I will add that with an annotation. If you can feel this aspect in effect with partners around your same age then dating older or younger partners is often the best remedy.
hi sadia... respectfully, i must disagree with you here... traditional hellenistic astrology allows for orbs of up to 17 degrees for the sun, and there was the school of thought that subscribes purely to sign-based aspects. while i don't use such wide orbs--i generally stick to ~10 degrees for aspects involving the sun/moon--3 degrees seems mighty small for a luminary. while i understand and somewhat agree that slower planets, particularly outer planets, may require a smaller orb when aspecting slower inner planets such as jupiter or mars or something, the luminaries move at such a rate that the sun would complete 3 degrees in 3 days, and the moon in a matter of hours. my pluto-sun square is 6 degrees and it has manifested quite strongly in my life, particularly in the violent and abusive (mental, emotional and physical) relationship with my father, and the polarizing effect i have on people. (iknow--the entire chart must be considered, but I won't go into its specifics here for brevity's sake)
ETA: yes, i realize you're talking about synastry--didn't want to get this off topic, i apologize. you're right about using a smaller orb for synastry compared to the natal chart, but i would probably still use something like 8 degrees simply because of the luminary involvement and for the reasons i listed above.

I have this aspect with my boyfriend. As the pluto person, I know I could just spit up past resentment and unresolved issues and feelings and really teach him a lesson. But I dont. I dont because hes simply too stubborn and weak minded to handle conversations on those topics. So i just kinda sit there with all of this brewing up in the background like "This is fine."

I can sympathize. I have some rough stuff in synastry and composite with my daughter. A word of advice: don’t protect him too much. That was my mistake in response to fear of loss or something hurting my baby. Control your own knee jerk reactions instead of trying to control your son in an effort to prevent your heart from being broken. We must be brave as parents and allow our children to grow up free of our fears. If we parent out of fear then we teach fear. It feels like love that is driving us to control and protect but it is fear that we are communicating to our children.

how does this aspect materialize in a non-romantic manner, say, brother and sister?
They can egg each other on and step on each other's toes. It's an irritating aspect between siblings that can cause fighting. It's meant to cause each other to grow in spite of how you irritate each other.

+CM Ewig Quintiles in synastry cause a spiraling up into a greater understanding of your individual self expression and personal creativity. They are complex but offer an inherent understating. It is similar to the conjunction but with the ease of a trine. Complex but also easy to handle in the moment.

+Orianna Ornella This is a very difficult aspect to contend with, especially if you have other hard aspects already. There is no reason to be in a painful relationship just because you think it’s with a soulmate. There are many possible soul mates that you could be with.

Then denial about how they are enters into the mix. It will likely not improve the situation. But I can’t see everything from here, I can only comment on the one aspect you are asking about.

what if you have this along with a pluto mercury conjunction and a pluto NN conjunction? Would that pluto-NN help the people stay together? I watched your video on that aspect as well. I have this with a potential partner, he's 41 and I'm 21. I'm the pluto person in this aspect though. I have it in Scorpio and his Sun is in Leo with a 0 degree orb. We do have a very fated feeling with each other. Right now, we haven't met in person but I suspect within the next couple of months we will meet. The intensity of all these connections through pluto and some of the regular synastry connections is kind of scaring me. I don't know how I will tell my mom about this situation and the intensity of the situation is mindblowing and wonderful along with being quite frightening to me. Okay, so I’m sooo confused. In a synastry chart, i have sun Sextile Pluto and sun trine Pluto. In a composite chart, we have sun square Pluto. So...i don’t even know. I would truly appreciate any advice from someone. 😕

Lyn S. Do you mean if the 12th house Sun is the Sun person? If so: We already have a lot of secrets and a longing to be understood especially when it comes to psychological topics like these. It either makes it much better or much worse (just my opinion though). :) Better because we see the Pluto person as our therapist and we voluntarily hand him over the control and really enjoy being watched over. Worse if we don‘t want to give the Pluto person our secrets but constantly feel probed with a „weak“ ego and very much outside of our comfort zone. Though I don‘t think you can call the 12th house weak. We‘re just very sensitive to such undercurrents and rather vulnerable with our secrets. I hope I explained it well. :) If you‘re talking about the 12th house Sun being the Pluto person then I don‘t know. Would depend on how much Pluto they have in their chart. :)
I have natal sun square Pluto so as far as I understand I have this square with pretty much everyone from my generation, right? I sounds scary. I wonder if maybe my 12th house stellium gives me enough Neptune energy to be able to stay in contact with people long enough for me to grow.
It is an aspect that squares a group of people of relatively the age. The way around that is to date older or younger partners or better yet, work on your own sun pluto stuff so the positives of this aspect show up. People with their natal sun square to pluto are pretty tough cookies, so they are less apt to keep a controlling relationship such as this going.
