Unknowingly experienced this in a major relationship, indeed, it was controlling and even violent, full of tension and bitterness, also provocative; in the end it made sense, as looking at the natal charts, this mirrored quite well certain incompatibilities. Needless to say, only distance and the death of the relationship stopped everything, nothing else worked. The positive was the peace of mind experienced after the exit. And now for a positive: I have this aspect with my younger sister and she’s literally my best friend. I can tell her anything. We used to fight a lot but that came from us being babies. Everything you said, completely true..i have this with my bf, where i am the mars person and yes he have a way of driving me mad so bad i wanna beat the sh=t out of him. OMG you're so right. The Pluto person really just wants to know how much the Mars person loves them and wants them, and it stems from insecurities. That's true. Although, in my case, I was the Mars and I was the one who wanted to get the evidences. It was like a drug, I was mean, trying to squeeze out something. Not because I felt like I'm not good enough or something, but because I couldn't get why exactly that person was with me, because I need to feel special, and I didn't. I had a double whammy with my ex and gosh, I never knew stress, anxiety and depression until I met her. Everything was so fast, she became my girlfriend in less than a week and we had a sexual chemistry that was insatiable. But nothing could make up for the drama and pain this relationship caused. She already had a more traumatic childhood and a history of toxic relationships. Sometimes just saying things even in the nicest way, would have her fire up and ready to destroy everything. I remember one time I broke a bowl on accident and I texted her about it and she got home noticed it was like a special bowl to her and she took my water bottle and stabbed bc she knew it was something I used often. My approach was to take the bowl to a repair shop but I mean that behavior is just so unacceptable specially for someone who claims to love you. I honestly just couldn't wrap my head over how cruel she would be. She would lock me out the bedroom (it was a studio) and would be like lay on the floor and sleep, no covers, nothing. I would just cry, cry and cry and ask her why. The answer never made sense and I eventually left her bc I was so just so fed up with the dynamic like why suffer when you don't have to, after all you choose this person, I couldn't take it anymore but it was for the sure the hardest thing I've done in my life and an air traffic controller/ soldier, im used to stress but this was different.I also saw how I affected her and I knew it was exhausting for her too bc she just couldn't stop being a cruel, like I can deal with a some conflict but cruel, saying things just to hurt. doesn't make sense to me. She eventually started dating someone right away, and gosh that hurt so much, I didn't have words.shit, I still don't but peace goes a longer way than conflict.This energy cannot be controlled, it just incinerates you.This like life and death. I have this with my sister ( her Mars). I find her to be very selfish and after living together 3 years in small flat I left that union. I dont love her anymore. Yep. Had this aspect with my ex. My mars is weak but she was very plutonic (with scorpio moon and all) and had a lot of insecurities. The resentment i had towards her was bitter bitter bitter. My ex and I had this synastry aspect with a double whammy----both of our Mars are in Scorpio. We loved each other but our marriage became a complete nightmare. We were both verbally vicious to one another....both stubborn, controlling and always topping one another with doing something hurtful. We would separate, but get back together just for the crap to start all over again. I have this natal. Ive never been violent or had any fights in relationships. I actually avoid conflict like the plague. But most of it is just a Bosslike Independence. I struggle with feeling people are trying to control me. If someone actually crosses that line, ill hold onto resentment for an eternity. The best way I can describe it is "I want to do it myself". If people put me in charge of things, I can come across as too controlling so ive let go of wanting any positions of power and prefer to jist be alone. Sexually aggressive with lovers, but never in an abusive or non-consenting way. Ive never "exploded" on someone or got in any physical fights. I have this aspect with my mother, (her 8H Pluto in Leo Squares my 1H Mars in Scorpio). My mother is extremely domineering, and obsessively keeps tabs on me, and tries to control my life in every way possible. (I'm 35 btw!) Many years ago, she tried to kill me by smothering me with a pillow. It indeed triggered an intense rage in me, but I didn't explode, I imploded. I could only feel a little better by going to an isolated place to scream out all my pain every time it became too much to bear. Wow, I so relate to you. My mother's Pluto in Leo is also square my Mars in Scorpio. My mother has tried to dominate me and keep me small my entire life. Growing up she would send me to institutions and try to ground me into the ground because I am very independent have a very strong will. dont agree with Sexuality with this aspect. But attraction is immense and PLUTO demands a lot in relation even if its a casual friendship. Pluto becomes jealous and hurt and MARS seems ignorant and dont give proper attention due to Mars roaming nature like MARS person always busy in doing some projects and hardly give time to you and this way your emotions left unheard and unattended. Thanks to having this natally, I also had this aspect in many of my relationships. Usually I was the Mars person and that felt somewhat better, but once I was the Pluto person, that was hell, it was a very abusive relationship, I still don't understand how I let him do all the things he did to me. I recognised at the end the extremely strong (and very unhealthy) obsession I felt towards him and I forced myself to stop the whole thing. Interestingly he was the one who seemed to get "high" on my emotional reactions to his provocations. But I think the square and the opposition may have some things in common cause I've experienced some of the emotions you mentioned in this video... and me and that person (colleague of mine) didn't even get to be in a romantic relationship. I got scared of his constant outbursts and kept him at bay. We had both the conjunction and the opposition and the physical attraction was out of this world! I have this aspect with my stepfather and he used to beat me up when i was a child. He never touched my mother or something. He just attacked the cat or me. i had mars square pluto aspect (my pluto) and (his Mars) and HE was the one trying to manipulate me, very jaleous, violent with words, restrictive, paranoia while i was almost submissive in this relationship so i think my pluto energies impact his Mars in the way where his behaviour reflect plutonic feelings. so hearing the pluto tries to manipulate the Mars and being pushy or forceful while i was the one enduring abuse it's not great. and not true.

It's weird. The person I know has this natally, so my nPluto naturally squares his Mars. He plays mind games with me and can't decide if he wants to be with me or not, and I'm just super confused about everything and just ask him to be clear with what he wants and not to be aggressive with me. I was clear from the get go I'm the commitment/deep love type (Venus in Scorpio), but being Sun, Moon and Mars in Libra, I hate conflict. I have this natally as well. I find that this dynamic exist with people from my same Pluto in Scorpio generation, obvi right? I disagree. As the Mars person, I don't like this manipulation stuff and want to get out as soon as I sense those things in a relationship, and as I make it loud and clear, consider it the only manipulation I use. The games I like to play are pretty harmless, like "poking" and stirring up the Pluto person to fake fight and actualy telling them that I'm going to "defeat" them (and I'm a tiny female lol). I agree and I also don't think this astrologer thinks highly of folks with really bad pluto aspects. She handled the Venus Sq Pluto one in the same way seemingly placing blame on the people with the bad Pluto aspects. Anyone with bad pluto aspects natally usually has a massive core wound somewhere that they need to fill but can't figure out how because Pluto is about secrecy, the hidden side of ourselves, transformations and death. That shit is heavy to deal with on it's own plus it operates subconsciously. Blaming Pluto for the problems all the time helps no one. I've had this in a few relationships and the problem is always the Mars person walks over me or is somehow abusive or I unknowingly trigger something in these men that usually leads to physical violence. His uranus conjunct my asc. My venus-mars in cancer conjunction conjuncts his mars-jupiter conjunction in cancer, they all square his pluto-north node conjunction in libra but my mars squares his pluto the tightest (1°). And now for a positive: I have this aspect with my younger sister and she’s literally my best friend. I can tell her anything. We used to fight a lot but that came from us being babies. As we grew up and got to know each other our fights grew less frequent and more mature in nature. We can still get pretty heated when debating ideologies and/or opposing viewpoints because it’s so odd for us to not be on the same page, but it happens once in a blue moon and we can usually talk it out really easily and really well without any low blows. OMG you're so right. The Pluto person really just wants to know how much the Mars person loves them and wants them, and it stems from insecurities. Even after Mars person shows evidence, Pluto will quickly forget and start doubting again. So the only way is to keep assuring Pluto he/she is loved. LOL
That's true. Although, in my case, I was the Mars and I was the one who wanted to get the evidences. It was like a drug, I was mean, trying to squeeze out something. Not because I felt like I'm not good enough or something, but because I couldn't get why exactly that person was with me, because I need to feel special, and I didn't. Though the Pluto person was also manipulative, sometimes in an obvious way, sometimes not so much. To be honest, I don't like being like this, and the only manipulation I used was "f*ck this shit, I'm out", and partly I really did wanted to end the relationship. I had a double whammy with my ex and gosh, I never knew stress, anxiety and depression until I met her. Everything was so fast, she became my girlfriend in less than a week and we had a sexual chemistry that was insatiable. But nothing could make up for the drama and pain this relationship caused. She already had a more traumatic childhood and a history of toxic relationships. Sometimes just saying things even in the nicest way, would have her fire up and ready to destroy everything. It was so exhausting the entire relationship felt so primal. She even compared me to her abusive mother which I was so shocked bc im not like that at all. It got physical many times, her initiating the punches, me taking it, bc I felt like I was strong enough to handle it but honestly the reason it didn't end so much worse is bc I just couldn't be as mean as she was to me back to her. its like I could see she was angry and a part of me would be like its not that big of deal, why are you being so mean. I remember one time I broke a bowl on accident and I texted her about it and she got home noticed it was like a special bowl to her and she took my water bottle and stabbed bc she knew it was something I used often. My approach was to take the bowl to a repair shop but I mean that behavior is just so unacceptable specially for someone who claims to love you. I honestly just couldn't wrap my head over how cruel she would be. She would lock me out the bedroom (it was a studio) and would be like lay on the floor and sleep, no covers, nothing. I would just cry, cry and cry and ask her why. The answer never made sense and I eventually left her bc I was so just so fed up with the dynamic like why suffer when you don't have to, after all you choose this person, I couldn't take it anymore but it was for the sure the hardest thing I've done in my life and an air traffic controller/ soldier, im used to stress but this was different.I also saw how I affected her and I knew it was exhausting for her too bc she just couldn't stop being a cruel, like I can deal with a some conflict but cruel, saying things just to hurt. doesn't make sense to me. She eventually started dating someone right away, and gosh that hurt so much, I didn't have words.shit, I still don't but peace goes a longer way than conflict.This energy cannot be controlled, it just incinerates you.This like life and death. I have this natal.
Ive never been violent or had any fights in relationships. I actually avoid conflict like the plague. But most of it is just a Bosslike Independence. I struggle with feeling people are trying to control me. If someone actually crosses that line, ill hold onto resentment for an eternity. The best way I can describe it is "I want to do it myself". If people put me in charge of things, I can come across as too controlling so ive let go of wanting any positions of power and prefer to jist be alone. Sexually aggressive with lovers, but never in an abusive or non-consenting way. Ive never "exploded" on someone or got in any physical fights. Most of it is verbal sparring representing "do what I want or go away" type energy.
I have a Sun Mars conjunction so this also hits my ego and things I enjoy in a competitive sense.

My natal Mars square Pluto is the only square I have to my Mars. Ive never laid a hand on her, shes physically abused me, I still flinch when people raise their arm near me. Shes accused me of being a prostitute (i work in law enforcement btw) and would take clothes that made me too attractive. For some reason I came across as too sexy for her and she was always calling me a wh**e when I hit puberty even though id never even kissed a guy. I was invited to modeling agencies and shed turn them away. My Pluto wasnt afraid to stand up for myself and her Mars h*ted me for it. She would jump to conclusions all the time catching me off guard, and VERY controlling. Known as the Mother in Law from h*ll to my lover and my brother's wife.

My mother is extremely domineering, and obsessively keeps tabs on me, and tries to control my life in every way possible. (I'm 35 btw!) Many years ago, she tried to kill me by smothering me with a pillow. It indeed triggered an intense rage in me, but I didn't explode, I imploded. I could only feel a little better by going to an isolated place to scream out all my pain every time it became too much to bear. Wow, I so relate to you. My mother's Pluto in Leo is also square my Mars in Scorpio. My mother has tried to dominate me and keep me small my entire life. Growing up she would send me to institutions and try to ground me into the ground because I am very independent have a very strong will. Her Pluto is also square her own Moon in Scorpio, so she has BIG Pluto issues. She was abused badly by her own mother and never dealt with it. Anyway, I am sorry. I was not able to salvage my relationship with my mother - she wants me small and maybe even dead! How can you salvage a relationship with someone like that? What I try to do is to have pity from afar and keep my own heart open. I know she is very damaged and beyond help and is in great pain everyday. Thanks to having this natally, I also had this aspect in many of my relationships. Usually I was the Mars person and that felt somewhat better, but once I was the Pluto person, that was hell, it was a very abusive relationship, I still don't understand how I let him do all the things he did to me. I recognised at the end the extremely strong (and very unhealthy) obsession I felt towards him and I forced myself to stop the whole thing. Interestingly he was the one who seemed to get "high" on my emotional reactions to his provocations. I recognised that pattern too, I learned so much from this (thankfully short) relationship but it almost destroyed me, and resulted in me facing a lot of trauma from my past. Now I'm sort of involved in a dynamic with a friend where I am Mars and I feel these sado-masochistic urges withing me, I feel strong desire but it's a lot of lust there mostly. I have the double whammy with this guy and it is crazy in every way imaginable. Intense sexual attraction that leads to very primal sex. Outside the bedroom, there’s a lot of unnecessary combativeness. The feeling like you can’t leave them alone and NEED to get a reaction out of them and whoever gets the biggest, most intense reaction “wins”. We also have pluto square moon and I usually end up “losing” and wind up in the more submissive/emotionally wounded position (I’m moon). It can quickly become an abusive tit-for-tat and I have to end it for my own piece of mind. But it’s hard to let go. I am usually very level headed and never argue, but I have fought more this with person than I have with everyone in my life put together...Dangerous and brings out a side in you that you didn’t know existed. Ugh.

But I think the square and the opposition may have some things in common cause I've experienced some of the emotions you mentioned in this video... and me and that person (colleague of mine) didn't even get to be in a romantic relationship. I got scared of his constant outbursts and kept him at bay. We had both the conjunction and the opposition and the physical attraction was out of this world! I don't work with him anymore but I still think about him sometimes.
I have this aspect with my stepfather and he used to beat me up when i was a child. He never touched my mother or something. He just attacked the cat or me. i had mars square pluto aspect (my pluto) and (his Mars) and HE was the one trying to manipulate me, very jaleous, violent with words, restrictive, paranoia while i was almost submissive in this relationship so i think my pluto energies impact his Mars in the way where his behaviour reflect plutonic feelings. so hearing the pluto tries to manipulate the Mars and being pushy or forceful while i was the one enduring abuse it's not great. and not true.

Very dramatic & warlike. I had this aspect with an ex friend. Her Mars (Leo) & my Pluto (Scorpio). I don't think that I was controlling. From my perspective I was trying help her to evolve and transform consciously and she was stubborn in her ways. I'm sure she has her own perspective. It's weird. The person I know has this natally, so my nPluto naturally squares his Mars. He plays mind games with me and can't decide if he wants to be with me or not, and I'm just super confused about everything and just ask him to be clear with what he wants and not to be aggressive with me. I was clear from the get go I'm the commitment/deep love type (Venus in Scorpio), but being Sun, Moon and Mars in Libra, I hate conflict. Whenever he ghosts me, I just try not to play his games and stay where I am while secretly crying inside. Then he comes back again and wants in. Only to accuse me of controlling him, when I did not even act, I just stay where I am and focus on myself. In his mind, I am supposedly controlling him and wanted to keep track of his whereabouts when I did nothing of the sort, I told him to stop playing games. This is a nightmare, if you've transcended beyond the mind games stuff leave this kind of relationship, esp with people who have this natally. If you already know who you are and what your power is and move authentic to yourself, you don't need to engage in any manipulation, just your truth.

I disagree. As the Mars person, I don't like this manipulation stuff and want to get out as soon as I sense those things in a relationship, and as I make it loud and clear, consider it the only manipulation I use. The games I like to play are pretty harmless, like "poking" and stirring up the Pluto person to fake fight and actualy telling them that I'm going to "defeat" them (and I'm a tiny female lol). I agree and I also don't think this astrologer thinks highly of folks with really bad pluto aspects. She handled the Venus Sq Pluto one in the same way seemingly placing blame on the people with the bad Pluto aspects. Anyone with bad pluto aspects natally usually has a massive core wound somewhere that they need to fill but can't figure out how because Pluto is about secrecy, the hidden side of ourselves, transformations and death. That shit is heavy to deal with on it's own plus it operates subconsciously. Blaming Pluto for the problems all the time helps no one. I thought me and the person i am seeing almost have a perfect synastry chart compatibility until i saw how active this aspect is. His moon-venus conjunction's midpoint is in my sun. His uranus conjunct my asc. My venus-mars in cancer conjunction conjuncts his mars-jupiter conjunction in cancer, they all square his pluto-north node conjunction in libra but my mars squares his pluto the tightest (1°). Should i stop investing my time on this person already or should i give it a try?

+K Kerrigan Officially, up to eight degrees but honestly girl, you're going to be able to feel this one just by having the planets square by sign. It won't be as dramatic without them actually in orb aspect but you're still going to pick up on it.
