I would not buy it but that's me. I've seen enough mystery packs open. It's a good way of getting rid of Abraham Toro rookies and topps chrome basic autos! If the price was $25. Maybe! Love that Bohm and Murphy auto!! The Puig rookie is cool too!
I learned the hard way on these "Mystery" repacks.. They just aren't worth it. For the priced you paid you could have gotten a really nice card that you actually wanted.
I probably wouldn't buy it. To me, the perfect mystery pack would maybe cut back one of the five cards and replace it with a pack from one of those old 90s Donruss/Score/etc. products that have a ridiculously stupidly minute chance of hitting a HOF auto, and maybe one or two more random junk wax packs. I would see the packs as guaranteed value (I place value on the experience of breaking into unseen cards, plus the small existing value of the cards). Part of what I don't like about this is you get only five cards, another part is that it's fully curated... some old junk would remedy both problems for me.
I Make mystery packs I include 4 autos or relic cards 8 rookies and or numbered and a psa slabs per pack at 50 bucks I will admit there are hits some 2 or 300 dollar one but most slabs I bought for 20 or 25 dollars. So I'd say u get ur value back. But don't expect to hit a grand slam
HAHA... as soon as you said "I'm a Tigers Fan" I subscribed. I do like this video...I keep feeling the internal pull to start buying these kinds of things since I can't buy at the store.. not too sure i'll pull the trigger yet...but this video helped inform my decision
I would hesitate to use the word "ripoff". While I don't think these packs are worth $35.00, you have to remember that you're not going to get exactly $35.00 worth of cards in a $35.00 pack. You should expect to come close, but eBay sellers have listing and final value fees. And, obviously, the whole point of selling on eBay is to make money. You aren't going to make money if you're putting cards worth more than $35.00 in the pack and then paying fees. Just my thoughts!
I am not buying any of this stuff I would rather send $120 and buy a SGC 10 of someone or HGA 9.5 of someone with potential. Or even vintage Clemente cards and then send them off to SGC for grading. Some SGC 5 and 6 are worth way more then what you cane get raw.
I am working on a mystery pack right now and they are going to have great chaser cards and havr spent the summer getting good cards ready. Cards will be from 70's, 80's,90's,2000's and lots of 2020 crards with good rookie cards. All lots will have becket value over cost and will include some unique cards you may have never seen before. Lot will be ready in about 30 days. I am doing it so I can get some money to buy more cards. Thanks!
Hey Stryker I really think your one of the smartest on RUclips not to stroke ur ego lol,,but I wanna run something by you,,everyone talks about the pandemic causing the card boom which is deff part of the reason but do you subscribe to this as well,,,,,the card boom also coralates with all 3 major sports,,,having such huge talent and draft classes,,,each sport especially football has so many great stars retiring and making headway for these top rated rookies to play,,tatis is now the new face of baseball but acuna, ohtani and vlad are fighting for that spot,,,NBA Durant, harden,LeBron etc etc are passing the torch to giannas,,luka,,trade etc etc,,,its a exciting time in sports so hence the card market will explode as well
I think the single biggest factor in the card boom is the current age of people who began collecting in the junk wax era. There is a reason cards were so mass produced back then. It was because every single kid out there bought them. That group of people is HUGE. Now, those of us who grew up in that era, are in the neighborhood of 40 years old. This is the time of life when financial stability has usually happened and there is a lot more discretionary income to spend on hobbies. It's like a baby boom, but a card baby boom. A very massive group of people with money to spend and nostalgia on the mind are re-entering the hobby. I don't think the pandemic has nearly as much to do with it as people think.
This repack is a scam, blacked out id# on graded Dom auto is the first red flag. People don't black out ID#'s of graded cards they legitimately own. I would never buy from this seller, but if I were to make a purchase, I would first ask for an unedited photo of the Dom auto with the ID# visible so I can reverse look up the image to find out if its legit or another stolen picture from another listing. Also, repacks are designed for the seller to dump his trash while making a profit that he couldn't make if he tried to sell the cards individually. In all honesty, if you buy repacks, you're just scamming yourself.
My only gripe is the paper bowman stuff. Swap those out for chrome RC's or chrome 1st's and it would take a bit of the sting out of the dud packs. I do like that each pack had an auto. 5/10 imo.
I wouldn't pay 10 for that first pack, matter of fact I wouldn't by a god damn card out that first pack, I feel like repacks like this are dog shit and a way for people to clear out shit cards while maximizing profit for the cards they're really trying to sell
Lol anybody can say there is a PSA 10 hit of a iconic card and just repack a bunch of raw cards and a great way to get rid of your disappointing common PSA 8s and 9s submissions. SCAM.
+1 on this comment, I am a big fan of your repacks Dynamite. A buddy of mine had me jump on board and I have been buying a pack every series. I hit your golden ticket for an autographed helmet last series, best value I have found out of any repack I have purchased.
Hi pal! So fun to see the Tatis Santa card in the background. That was a good karma box!! Regarding the mystery packs, it’s always fun to take a chance every so often but I think I’d rather spend the money on a card I wanted. Thanks for sharing!!
I've seen a good amount of repack/mysterys opened online. Many are outright garbage. Just a way to rid oneself of box after box of common and dollar autos/relics. Some are too good to believe as well. (You'd think they were juiced to sell the remainders) I myself am working on a nice box. It's gonna be 1950s to 2020 with 95% NM/MINT cards and over 1000 hall of famers/rookies/stars.(60-70% of those Hofs/rookies/stars are PRE 1986! and 2010-2020 too!) No $1000 cards to chase, just fair VALUE for your dollar. Yes, you can find a $50-$100+ vintage rookie in your box, AND also have packs to open that MAY yield a $1000 parallel. But I make no guarantee you'll pull a 1/1. Just fair, FUN and nice cards for your dollar.
I did a football mystery pack and got the major hit of a Joe Burrow auto numbered out of 9. The mystery packs can be scams sometimes but others you have a chance at a hit.
I'm planing on doing like team lots, but I want it to be a surprise. They're only filled with rookies, relics, autos, and inserts/parallels. The prices range from $15-$10, and you get anywhere from 15-30 cards. The prices will probably change, but my dad told me that I have to try not to rip people off, and that's what I'm trying to avoid, ripping people off. NOTE: There will be stars as well, but not all relics and hits and stuff will be rookies or stars
That's kind of what I'm doing. I have a graded '89 UD Ken Griffey Jr. rookie that I'm using as the "chase" card, but I'm trying to give decent value where if you don't get it, it's not a waste of $19.99. But like you, I don't have a ton of autos or relics.
I think if you try to match the book value with the sales price as best as you can, then it’s not a rip. If you can actually make these fun and worthwhile then you’re ahead of the game. Would love to check these out!
I just spent 25$ yesterday on a Heritage 27 card hanger and didn’t get 5 $ in value back so I can see why people would be intrigued with these packs. But 40$. Maybe 20$
I have put together mystery packs of Football and Basketball which I don't personally collect. I always make them where they will have more value than the price of the pack. I have also bought a few mystery packs and it is hit and miss.
These packs were cool. I wouldn’t pay $40 per, but at least you get something back. Half of the mystery boxes that I see jabs open, I would just throw the cards away lmao
Reason for auto n relic in 1st pack was to balance value best repack I bought I bought 5 got 1 free gotta Tony Pollard Optic super short print auto only coast $20 per pack n there was nice stuff on top of that in with alot of RCs
I got a group of friends from certain channels that do repack its actually alot of fun cause on Discord they show off the cards that could be hit then they make packs with various Rookie, autos, Relics or unopened packs with the several chase cards valued from $30-$40 for 1 the next at about $90-$120 and the last chase at about $150-$200 and packs are about $50 each and only 10 repacked so you got a good chance at a hit
99% of these are garbage. Your average Joe is getting garbage, but the Stryker's & Jab's of the world seems to normally get decent stuff. Next time you order one.... have it sent to your neighbors cousin that lives 5 blocks away. Then do the video and tell us whether or not it's worth anything. And whose to say that any of those chase cards exist?? Especially the Dominguez
How do you know if the seller actually sends out the "prize cards?" Unless someone says they got it on a forum or something, nobody would know...just asking cause I'm curious
I would not buy it but that's me. I've seen enough mystery packs open. It's a good way of getting rid of Abraham Toro rookies and topps chrome basic autos! If the price was $25. Maybe! Love that Bohm and Murphy auto!! The Puig rookie is cool too!
👀
I love Abraham Toro!
Fast forward 4:00 for pack opening.... 4 minutes. Holy moly man, Edit that
yes
That Tatis in the back is sweet!
Those weren't bad at all IMO. better than the bigbatbox
I love bohm!
Right up there with xmas rack packs. Garbage for the money
I would say if I made a 30$ mystery bag it should be 40$ worth of value. Quality over quantity
i would pay 20 bucks, but no more than that
I learned the hard way on these "Mystery" repacks.. They just aren't worth it. For the priced you paid you could have gotten a really nice card that you actually wanted.
1st pack maybe 15.00
I probably wouldn't buy it. To me, the perfect mystery pack would maybe cut back one of the five cards and replace it with a pack from one of those old 90s Donruss/Score/etc. products that have a ridiculously stupidly minute chance of hitting a HOF auto, and maybe one or two more random junk wax packs. 1st pack 8-10$
2nd pack 10-12$
3rd pack 10-15$
4th pack 15-20$
They definitely could have thrown in a lot more and nicer cards.
I wouldn't buy one but sometimes you can get a hit. I like the Dutch auction. They are cheaper.
🔥
No I would not. I have 3 different kinds coming. I will do a video for them. We will see what I get, but only one of each
Normally I sit and watch quietly but I can't this time. Those things are definitely a scam .
Hey Mike, good to hear from ya man! I appreciate the feedback. Come hang out in a live stream sometime soon!
@@StrykerBreaks I'm in your streams quite a bit I just don't talk . I'll be sure to let you know I'm there next time.
Those packs are for some gas 💨 💨
2nd pack was better maybe $18-$20
I Make mystery packs I include 4 autos or relic cards 8 rookies and or numbered and a psa slabs per pack at 50 bucks I will admit there are hits some 2 or 300 dollar one but most slabs I bought for 20 or 25 dollars. So I'd say u get ur value back. But don't expect to hit a grand slam
Thanks for sharing! I would pass, but it seemed like you did get a couple of noteworthy pulls.
4th be $25-$30 if I had to guess
Ouch swing and a miss.
Travis D'Arnaud? HOF for sure. They put in cards that don't grade 10. That's why they're in there. Probably went by Beckett
Think the top loaders r worth more then the cards lol, packaging is nice and all top loaded is a plus But value is not there
That Bohm card is nice, are you looking to sell?
First pack 10 bucks value
Almost as good as F & B chase packs on ebay
HAHA... as soon as you said "I'm a Tigers Fan" I subscribed. I do like this video...I keep feeling the internal pull to start buying these kinds of things since I can't buy at the store.. not too sure i'll pull the trigger yet...but this video helped inform my decision
Where’s midnight?
I’d rather pull the card from a pack myself
Awesome video!! I love watching your videos everyday!!
Fernando Tatís Jr his he a good investment?
BUY YOUR OWN CARDS , THIER ARE SO MANY CROOKS IN THE HOBBY NOW 🤬
I would hesitate to use the word "ripoff". While I don't think these packs are worth $35.00, you have to remember that you're not going to get exactly $35.00 worth of cards in a $35.00 pack. You aren't going to make money if you're putting cards worth more than $35.00 in the pack and then paying fees. Just my thoughts!
Pass on repacks. Would rather buy cards I want.
Why would someone purposely put anything of real value in those :/
I am not buying any of this stuff I would rather send $120 and buy a SGC 10 of someone or HGA 9.5 of someone with potential. Or even vintage Clemente cards and then send them off to SGC for grading. Some SGC 5 and 6 are worth way more then what you cane get raw.
2nd Pack about $5
I think that the price of the first one is about $50-70
I don’t really collect so I don’t know prices of cards or anything like that
Thanks for making sharing this video. Always wondered what you could pull from a Ebay mystery pack.
I wouldn’t buy it also, if you buy 15. He personalizes it. Does that mean you can get one of the chase cards in the bonus? Sounds a little fishy.
People saying they would never pay $40 for these, yet blasters are being sold like hotcakes at 5x retail.
It's just a byproduct of most packs being shitty in retail/hobby lol these card companies gotta step it up
1st pack $15ish
First pack $6
I’m not. Pack guy I’d rather just buy the card I want not chase it, but these would be good if I have some money leftover and I want do something fun
10 bucks
saved it with the goldschmidt auto.....love the tatis jr's in the background
The Bohm refractor sells for around $18 fairly steadily.
Just sold for $90 in a psa 10
If the contents of all four were in one for $40....
Not a big fan of Mystery Packs or Boxes. You're better off using the $120 and buy what you collect. I've never bought any myself.
I am working on a mystery pack right now and they are going to have great chaser cards and havr spent the summer getting good cards ready. Obviously these are a scam
... but a great way to ditch shit product you could other wise never sell.
$40? Holy smokes. If it's not highway robbery, it's at least a residential burglary.
Thanks for the review, though.
Take care.
God bless
They never equal the value
for me yes never got anything worth my money
Pack 1, 👎 pack 2 👎 pack 3 meh, pack 4 so so. Overall 💩💩💩
Wouldn't pay $40
Not a buy.

No.
All these mystery packs suck. Just excuses for people to get rid of their junk. Lol. It’s soooo scammy. Why not just buy the chase?
i PC alec he is a sweet prospect i really suggest investing NOW
Who buddy
Arc bohm
That guy stole your money
My only gripe is the paper bowman stuff. Swap those out for chrome RC's or chrome 1st's and it would take a bit of the sting out of the dud packs. I do like that each pack had an auto. 5/10 imo.
I paid 20 dollors for 1 of the red repacks and i did not get anyone of note i am sure they were worth 20 but not to me
Waste, just buy the singles!
100$
Not for the most part.

Scam
I did a 5$ mystery pack from eBay hockey and got 35-45$ in value
Oh that sounds good. Shoot me a link if you have one.
c_dath on eBay said more you buy better they get
I got a carter hart engrained rookie/299 20-40$ cdn
20 bucks tops is what they should charge
