I’ve met a guy who acted just like that, no joke. I was practicing my Japanese on vrchat and that guy joins me and another guy I was talking to and he actually spoke like the anime character in this video, it turned out he learned Japanese because he was a weeb and wanted to watch anime without the need to wait for subtitles, so naturally, he chose to learn the language by watching anime. Had a good time talking to him, but I just couldn’t stop laughing lmao

I remember once I was at a Renaissance Festival and I got a toy wooden sword that was a replica of a sword from Sword Art Online. I’m not a big fan of the show but I liked how the sword looked.
Later, across a whole pavilion type area, a guy noticed the sword and instantly locked on to me and started walking towards me.
Dude was an SAO fan and was nice enough but was pretty awkward, especially since I don’t really like the show.
Still get a laugh at how he locked onto me when he saw the sword though. Waded across a whole group of people towards me like “Target Aquired”.

What I learned from this, in Japan if you ask thieves nicely to give back your wallet is more effective than take it back with violence.
I used to work in a retail store, and I once caught group of kids trying to steal something. I asked them to put the item back where it belong, and they did (I walked with them to make sure) and then they left and never came back.

It takes place in a Shonen anime world, but one of the main characters is a regular guy but his roommate and best friend is the edgy character of a shonen.
It would show their everyday lives, the shonen char coming back late because of a fight, the regular char going to work. Maybe show other anime archetypes interacting with the two main characters as friends, there are lots of archetypes we can use. Like the childhood friend, the femme fatale, the tsundere, the energetic best friend, the super smart guy, ETC.
Then there is the shonen villain that harasses the edgy shonen char and the other shonen archetypes, and sometimes uses the regular characters as hostages, forcing the shonen chars to fight him. That would give us some pretty awesome fight scenes

It really helps that this video was made by actual Japanese dudes and not anyone else, because no one can accurately portray the sound of an overly expressive Japanese man, like a Japanese man. I also love how he pulls the sword for every damn situation.
