Really appreciate the music for This War of Mine. Similarly, one of the most memorable parts of the game is crafting a guitar and putting it up in a loungeroom and getting characters to play it. Different characters could play it variously well (which is a nice touch), but quite nice to listen to a character who was skilled at it.
I perfectly remember the first time I played this game. I was 14, I pirated it, and I was hooked for a whole week. I even uploaded a video (which is still public) of my first ending. A year later I bought it on Steam and played it for over 100 hours. Listening to this OST, a soundtrack that I have listened to so much and for so long, gives me a feeling of nostalgia, warmth and at the same time sadness for everything it means, even more so in the current times where wars only got worse. "This War of Mine" is definitely one of those games that leave a mark on you for life. I think about it and I still can't believe that more than 10 years have passed. If you haven't already, do yourself a favor and play this game, recommend it, buy its DLC's. Not only is it a very good survival game, but it is also one of the few or even the only one that deals so well with the subject of war from a civilian point of view. In addition to actively helping current war conflicts such as the invasion of Ukraine
Just got a copy of the This War of Mine boardgame. Am bracing myself to experience it like I did with the videogame early on (all my survivors getting beaten up, sick and dying) but being very impactful.
First time I heard about this war of mine was from a friend Journalist that was writing a review / showcase the game in my country. He usually writes about tech and science but never about games. It was his first, and he is very picky. A little later I got it on Steam. And the love with 11 Bit Studios began.
I really hope for a sequel or possibly a remake, given the greatly worsened geopolitical context. The world needs to be made aware of the suffering of civilians during a war.
To this day, this title has some of the best sound design I have ever witnessed. Thank you 11-bit. Still praying for a sequel some day.
Personally prefer his work in Frostpunk but damn Piotr Musiał is a genius
@ 💯
I thought I'd never see this game getting updated ever again after Fading Embers.
This is the best Christmas ever...

I don't see the Charity DLC on GoG. Will it be added there soon?
ITs only for charity through Steam as the Devs have already stated.
I thought this is a update lol
this wasn't already out? someone i assumed it was
This game came out like a decade ago, wtf?
Likely their announcing a sequel soon, which I don’t think we should be happy about considering what this game was about
