She is this amazing singer. :) She is really popular in Europe, but not so much in America.

She's great! If any native French speaker could answer this question, what is the difference between Belgian French and the French spoken in France? Is it more of an accent difference or vocabulary difference?
As a Fleming I have to make this comment. Kate Ryan isn't a Native French speaker, in the north of Belgium, called Flanders, people speak dutch, a totally different language. Ever heard of Axelle Red? She's Flemish too.

Some Different words and accents, but in this case it doesn't really apply because Kate (Katrien Verbeeck) is From Flanders/Vlaanderen. Her native language is Dutch and we learn "standard" French in school, not "Belgian" French. If there's any accent to her French it'd be a Flemish one.

En France on a connu d'elle que sa reprise de Désanchantée! Mais j'avais été surpris d'apprendre qu'elle n'était pas francophone car elle parle bien français ! lol Par contre j'ai lu plus loin qu'Axelle Red était flamande et là par contre je suis vraiment très étonné, je pensais pas du tout !!!
as with most songs, this one is much better in its original language.. to bad almost everyone translates to english before going to eurovision these days.
Pure french.. even in France they dont speak the pure french anymore with the Verlan dialects..

La différence d'accent est plus importante entre le français de France et celui du Québec je crois. Le français des pays Africains aussi est assez différent. Mais entre la France et la Belgique, la différence est moins importante
