      Hi sister
      Follow Acts 2:38
Repent and Get baptize in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of your sin and you will receive the Holy Spirit as Gift. I was like that before fighting with my own strength to resist sin but it was always a temporary because after 1 or 2 months I go back to these sins. But now I'm free forever free. I'm no more struggling with sin. Hallelujah I received the Holy Spirit and I m free.
Glory to the Lord Jesus Christ

@@awudisylvanus8127 I already was baptized and have been a Christian for 37 years, but at least you tried to help out with your message, so thanks.
I quit yesterday, & please remember "all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God" getting Baptised will not help someone quit smoking. It's a journey we are on as Christians & we all have a different story. I'm glad to hear you no longer struggle with sin. Thanks for thinking about me and responding. Blessings.

Hi sister Lori , I can relate to your situation and i love your prayer and i will pray it with you.
The advice from sister/brother Awudi about Acts 2:38 is very good.
It will really help and has helped me in my process with this same struggle.
I would like to clarify the verse a bit as much as i can, may the Lord help us understand His Word as He wills, Amen
The words used by the apostles that got translated into 'baptize' were bapto and baptizo neither of which is a thing you can do, they are a thing you get.
And a simple translation is: a complete overwhelming covering. Or dye as in paint.
The apostle said to get completely entirely overwhelmingly covered in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
So His name has to cover us and make us new. To dye us a new shade. From a sinful shade we have to get painted all over to a holy shade and that by the name of the Lord Jesus Christ YHWH.
So the deeper you get into your bible, your knowledge of Christ, the more you get covered all over by His name. Then you will know the Truth and He will set you free, Amen. (John 8:32) (John 14:6)
You have to target yourself the same way marketing agencies target you and influence yourself with God's holy influence, His word, His people, His truth and that will solve everything and conform you to the image of His son unto glory which He has predestined you for. (Rom 8:29) (Rom 12:1-2)
So to get baptize in the name of the Lord is to fill yourself up with Him and cover yourself all over with Him. By knowing Him, doing Him, obeying Him, studying Him and being around people who want to be like Him. Talking with and listening to people who want to be like Him. Every time you engage with someone who is not a believer your old habits get triggered so be very careful with that. And remember 2 Corinthians chapter 5 verse 17 if anyone is in Christ he is a new creature, the old has passed away. So you are now new. Dont be like the person who looks in the mirror and forgets how they looked as soon as they turn away from the mirror.
Also how to get baptize in the name of the Lord, take time to remember verse by heart that is a great help and a command from the Lord. Treasure His word.
Name in the greek and hebrew means 'authority'
So cover yourself and fill yourself all the way up in His authority, which is His word, His manner, His character, His likes and dislikes, His company, His people, His goodness and so on. His authority
Cover yourself and fill yourself all the way up with it
That's what it means to get baptize in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen
Grace and peace of the Lord rests upon you forever and ever
Oh and phillipians 1:6 He who began a good work in you shall finish it

Absolutely what i needed. I backslid from my Lord and I've found nothing but grief and condemnation, bitterness and death. But I remember times past of days when my love of God was a raging fire that could evaporate the sea and the salt was all that remained as my harvest. I rejoice tonight in broken bones and bleeding wounds, because they are the humble beginnings of small steps of regeneration and the loving embrace of the Great physician that heals our wounds and raises the dead. Amen.

Some people say Jesus was able to fight the temptations because He is God. I feel it’s not that. He came as a man and He felt man’s weakness. But maybe His love for the Father was so strong that He was able to fight all sort of temptations with prayers. What do you think?

In the beginning God created Heaven and Earth. He created humans too to have a relationship with Him. That's our purpose as humans that have a relationship with God. Sin, however, messed that up because it made us imperfect and imperfect creatures cannot have a relationship with a perfect and holy God. That's why we so oftentimes feel empty, unsatisfied and unaccomplished because we're not in relationship with the God we were created to be in a relationship with. But that's where Jesus comes in. Jesus is God's son and He came down to earth in human form to live the same life we do yet unlike us He never sinned. Jesus is perfect. Yet despite the fact He is perfect He died on the cross for our sins and sacrifice Himself for us. The punishment for our sins is death but because Jesus took that punishment for us if we put our faith in Him and receive Him as Lord and savior we can be reconciled to God and be restored to that relationship we were created to have. And we can be sure that Jesus is the Son of God because on the 3rd day God raised Him from the dead and in that He defeated death and the grave, proving that He can do the same for us if we put our faith in trust in Him. That's how you get to Heaven. That's how you become full in your heart. That's how you become reconciled to the God who created you.

@@Leon-Servant-of-Christ You can live for Christ, but you can also live together in Christ with someone special. God even said it wasn't good for man to be alone. It's not mentally good for man to be alone when he desires a wife. Paul mentions a lot about this and singleness but never implies that it's good to be alone. If you desire to be with a women then marry but know you're dividing your focus. God wouldn't allow us to pro create if it wasn't part of God's plan.

I am also in the same boat. The apostle Paul also says that we need to be content with what is happening in our lives. Living for Christ is all I care about, I am not alone because he is always with me and he continues to build my character. Get lost in the scriptures, so much makes sense as you read and understand. Whenever you reach that level of contentment nothing can break you, be content with gods plan for your life and grow in him.
I always use the apostle Paul as an example, he was in prison, his friends abandoned hand betrayed him. The churches he established criticised him and in the end he said that he was content. That is very powerful, at the end of the day it’s all about being prepared to meet our God. Everything we do is ultimately for him. I have lost a lot in my life and I am lonely but I have him so I am not alone and that brings me great joy and contentment.
I hope this can provide some comfort, spend time in prayer and the scriptures.

Wrong, à Godly man doesn't Murder, David was very Godly, but He also killed in the Name of the Lord, He just didn't murder. This is why we have to live in scripture to know how HE wants us to live. Without it we are just going through life; lost!
