Heartbroken after I heard this, remebering from my dad who played classical guitar. A pleasure to hear it again, close to the way he played it. shivering atm, and thanks for it. classical music will never die. Thank you.
Time for illumination People assume things will fade and they don’t. I wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of great music today lasts for many years. After all, every generation has its fads, and its long lasting music. Especially since most music today is technologically significant. As technology continues to be a part of music, a lot of music today will continue to be important and nostalgic. But unfortunately, every generation also has people who put down great things of the future according to the myth that older is always better, which is subjective. After all, just as academics teach older music as valid or a standard to be studied, many are teaching today’s music as valid and a standard to be studied as well.
Time for illumination Old music really only *seems* better because you only remember the best stuff that came out of those generations. There were still plenty of annoying and bad songs and like you said, no one remembers them. But the same goes for today. There are plenty of good songs that I can guarantee you will be remembered in the future, and there will still be plenty of 2040’s kids whining that their generation’s music is bad and they only listen to 2010’s music.
It's beautiful and easy on the ears. Its amazing how few people realize how heavily influenced modern music is by classical... One reason Im glad the internet exists is that I can come back and appreciate this music for what its done for us today.
I cannot understand why people are downvoting such emotional music. Geez, if you cannot play any kind of guitar, just learn it. It isn't that hard and doesn't justify any dislikings at all!
Why do you think people disliked it out of envy of guitar skills or lack of taste? I didn't like it because to me it doesn't sound all that good. The recording is dull and especially with him rushing so much it sound just robotic.
JUST BEAUTIFUL... PROPER SPEED AND A FANTASTIC DISPLAY OF WHERE TO PLACE FINGERS. IT WILL HELP ME RELEARN MY FAVE BACH PIECE. THANK YOU SO MUCH... RICH USA.
He's not playing to impress everyone, he's playing for the people that appreciate people who play, and ripple who can appreciate , I'm pretty sure he didn't its this thinking this will be the best version of this piece, I would be very happy if I could do this piece period..
Thanks for the invitation. I enjoyed the calm, mellow interpretation. Very smooth but never flat. I am moved to go pull out that piece again and try such an even play enjoying it again. Very nice playing.
Amazing, great work! I'm sure gy grandfather will appreciate this a lot since he played guitar in the Philharmonia, thanks for sharing it truly sounds amazing and it is a pleasure to hear you play the guitar.
As somebody who uses and teaches both, I generally favor tabs. Why not? When it comes to guitar, not piano, they're the much more practical and reasonable medium for writing and reading music. That being said there's something beautiful about a score in itself, I definitely get where your appreciation for them comes from.
For those who don't think much of Tabs, try playing flamenco from music score and then try playing it with the complex tabs that flamenco artists are producing these days. Way more information given in tabs. It was a learning curve for me. It seems these days, if someone tries, he/she gets a barrage of assault. This is a beautiful recording, something worthwhile. Nice microphone placement.
Ciao!! Ho sempre avuto un grande rispetto per i chitarristi classici!!! Non posso pertanto che complimentarmi con te per questa tua bella e perfetta performance!! Un gran saluto. Franco.
Notice the pinky, no tension at all, it's always ready for the next note, close to the fret-board. And his thumb is hidden during the whole song. Excellent!!
What a beautiful piece of music Thanks for sharing this. Truly. I've never heard it put to classical guitar, and it was well done at that ... Just closed my eyes ... listened to the entire piece before I'm going to bed tonight ...
THANK YOU FOR THE PRICELESS LESSON ON HOW TO PLAY THIS MASTERPIECE. I WILL CORRECT MY PLAY-BY-EAR VERSION AS I HAVE LOST MY TABLATURE SHEET OF THIS BEAUTY LONG AGO. I WAS TRYING TO DO THE IMPOSSIBLE WITH MY POOR KNOWLEDGE OF THE NOTES ON THE FINGERBOARD.. AND THE TERRIBLE RESULT . I HOPE TO PLAY THIS MAGICAL PRELUDE CORRECTLY BY THE END OF 2022... UNENDING GRATITUDE... BEST REGARDS,,, RICHARD IN MILAN MICHIGAN, USA.
this is so addicting after you learn it.
I can't imagine. I've learned the first 30 seconds and I'm already so impressed with myself lol
Is this standard tuning?
@@LeFruFru its DADGBE but sounds good on standard too
@@bigutudor9048 How does that work? Just play all the notes on the E string incorrectly?
@@Actiomedey its called drop d tuning. search it on the internet and you Will get it

Good heavens, I got the chills! Usually that song doesn't translate to guitar very well in the versions I've heard, but that was spot on.
Bach and guitar go together like bullets and guns. What a an aligning experience.
strange comparison: bullets & guns are ugly & destructive / Bach & classical guitar are creative and beautiful!
love people who play awesomely and than post the tab without me having to ask. thank you, just thank you so much
Wonderful! Bach's music is timeless and always joyful to listen, as your playing!
Cheers,
Bernd
