Ma Te is the only chopper to ever beat Xu Xin even once. Xu would send Joo packing, no problem. I've reviewed 3 of their matches at random: 9-1 in games for XX.

Ma Te probably using a very slow rubber and blade with very little spin. Very good control but too easy for ML. Too slow returns giving attackers lots of time to topspin. Some good reversing effect but not enough to disrupt the attackers. Less confident to carry out forehand attack against ML. Ma Te knew the answer better than anyone else the end result.
Trust me, it’s a lot of spin. In some cases you can see even Ma Long’s loop and push goes into the net. It may look slow but if you chop good like he does, you can keep it easily on the table.
Oh forgot to mention, the rubber he chops with is long pips. It’s a rubber that mirrors the spin.
@@Ahma000 also you need to be very very faster, and has good explosion and reaction to become a great chopper. Look how Joo does.
@@Ahma000 'mirror' is a misnomer with long pips. It _retains_ the spin (in most cases, but different lp have varying effects), in real space.
