I really enjoy this format: - quick review of several games (that maybe would not get the spotlight otherwise) - discussion between Tom and Zee - rating comparison of the games
Been a while since we had a Tom & Zee only video. Like the format of putting in a bunch of reviews for smaller games. Seems like there are just SO many releases these days.
This ended up being a longer video than I anticipated when I clicked on it and that's a good thing. I hope to see even more of these types of videos throughout 2024. My 14 year old son enjoyed 5 Towers when we played it over the holidays. He was able to make some amazing bids and decisions using the 8 and 9 cards that resulted in some very high towers compared to the rest of us.
I would think "Oh! Hey! Crosswalk" allows for some decent home ruling, making it more thematic and possibly more complex. It's a simple versatile board, five or six different tokens and a pretty good theme I'd say. haven' read the rules but I would think you could come up with funny rules yourself
About 15:29 : (Not 1950, but) the 1945 card of *EXHIBITION 20TH CENTURY* (the WAR IS OVER newspaper), was an "all continents" card. Because it would be strange to connect the end of WORLD War II to 1 continent. *TIME JUMPERS* has categories instead of continents, so the 'End of World War II' is in the WORLD EVENTS cards.
@5:50 my dog moves 5 spaces per turn. But if you’re holding the leash, he only walks 1+ whatever your walking speed. So what you got to do is have grandma walk the dog. But you have to roll a die if you’re walking the dog. And if it lands on a 6 you fall and break your elbow then your walking speed is -2 your original speed.
At 24:20 : What Zee tells about the scoring in *EXHIBITION 20TH CENTURY* (points for completing things first/second/third/fourth/fifth), is not in *EXHIBITION 20TH CENTURY* but is in the *TIME JUMPERS* game. (Except for the race to have an object (card) of each century.) BTW: The scoring in *EXHIBITION 20TH CENTURY* isn't flat at all. That comment makes no sense. 🙃
I just did a video 91-100. The most owned 2023 games of the year according to BGG. 5 Towers was 99th! I think it looks cool and I’m a big Kasper Lapp fan.
I love to see just Tom and Zee discussing games like old days.

5:15 Thank you for review of our "Oh! Hey! Crosswalk"! Thank you from Tokyo, Japan!🇯🇵
I hope we get more of these. Tom and Zee reviewing a few games together is simply 🤌🏽
Love it🙌🏽
I really like these quick reviews, but with 2 people it makes it a bit more interesting. The back and forth is great.

I still do not understand why Nyet is criminally out of print. Most people who play it, rave about it, and yet it still remains out of print.
Love the format, fun too watch you two. Plus the quick reviews are great.
This video was very well produced. 👌
Could you use the Timeline decks with Time Jumpers?
Try the variant for Hund
Thank you, Dice Tower, for these reviews. Out of the 5, Hund seems to jump out the most.
The good game about teams crossing is called Backgammon.

If they like 5 towers just play Ohanami, better game overall.
