Been waiting for an update! Love it! What industry are you working in now? And is this your first role after sogang studying? Would love to see a video on your experience of finding the role !
Thank you so much for this amazing vlog for keeping us updated with your life status! You are doing an awesome job! Btw liked the video and new subbie here!🤗 hope we can be friends😍
As far as I know working holiday visa only allows you to work part time hours. I would be interested to know how you were able to find such role? When I look at intern jobs so many of them are full time :( I just started studying Korean at Sogang but would love to be in a similar position as you next year (get a sponsored job that is not teaching English). Also which Korean level did you manage to get in the end? Thank you for the video 💗
Thanks for watching! I finished Sogang up to level 6, and also got level 6 on TOPIK :) I'll try to do a video on my job search process~ For working holiday, you can actually do part time, free lance, or full time too as long as you don't exceed the total maximum number of hours allowed for work. So that's how some people work full time for maybe 6 months, and then just study or holiday for the other 6 months. The total maximum hours might be different for each passport though, so def try to negotiate about the work hours with the company~
Im in the same boat. From feeling grateful yet exhausted/“stuffy” from working from home to wanting to go back to NY and to not liking the industry im in. But, it’s not like this is our last job and I’m certain we’ll both find better options in time. Plus this whole pandemic situation is literally historical in how it’s been detrimental to so many and I think we forget to remind ourselves that we’re in a once-in-a-lifetime exceptional situation. Have fun going back to NY! Maybe record a video so I can live vicariously??? It sucks that I won’t be able to be there when you come back 😔
Thank you for video!!!!!! It's very helpful. I have a question. So you prepared all your documents by yourself (except documents from a company) and applied by yourself? I found out that there are visa companies, which help to apply for visa and in one website they mentioned that someone fails to get visa at once, it will be hard to get E7 visa at all. But it's sooooo expensive to do it via visa company. Do you think it's ok to do everything by myself?
You're welcome and glad to hear it was helpful for you! :) Yep I had to prep most of it by myself since our company didn't see the need to hire one of those visa companies (also because they are expensive like you said T.T) I think you should be fine to gather the documents by yourself with your own company's help, since there are many resources online from other expats like me !
@@pngtiff oh I see!! Thank you for replying. If there are people who did it by themselves, then it is not impossible at least. I also will try to do by myself. Thank you very much, you gave me bravery!!!
Thanks so much for this video! :) Would you know if the KLEC program is still doing their classes online? I'm hoping to attend the March semester next year but would love to know if they're doing it online or not :)
I think as of now they still are, but maybe by March it'll be okay! Keep checking about the social distance regulations in Korea~ I hear they're hoping to have all things normal by end of January :)

Hello tiff. I am planning to apply for sogang under KLEC, did they require you a letter of guarantee?
Sorry! Not too sure what letter of guarantee is.. I think there'd be more requirements for visa than for applying to Sogang though!
what was your major and what was the job you applied for?
My major in college was hospitality & tourism management, but the company I worked at in Korea was related to mobile gaming ^^;
