  • Julie talks us through how to eat healthily during breast cancer and its treatments. This information is helpful for the whole family too.
    About red meat consumption:
The World Health Organisation’s (WHO) classification of II for red meat is based on limited evidence and an association with colorectal cancers only. The World Cancer Research Fund Guidelines suggest eating moderate amounts of red meat (no more than 350-500g cooked per week) does not increase cancer risk. Proceeded meat has a WHO grade I classificiation, and is not something we ever recommend eating. Breast Cancer Haven respects individual dietary choices, which may include meat, fish, vegetarian and vegan diets.
