I'm a young man from Detroit that never made a beat and I have nothing to make beats on with very lows funds. You are my inspiration honestly. I pray I can get half as far as you. I dream of beats in my sleep literally
Get a laptop with a decent amount of RAM, and there are so many free or very cheap recording apps out there, and countless how-to videos on RUclips. And good studio headphones; nothing that's going to artificially boost bass levels like regular music listening headphones do. Even spending $50-$100 on a good online video course in making and recording beats is definitely worth the investment. Pro Mix Academy has lots of great courses on all kinds of music: promixacademy.com/audio-courses/
Just getting started with making a home studio, this video was one of the most helpful because it shows that you don't need all that brand new most expensive stuff that many other channels show you on their tours for their studios...... Thank you for making this.
Thanks so much for letting us see “behind the scenes”, and schooling us new guys to what’s really necessary, and what’s not. I sincerely appreciate it and my wallet does also. 👍🏾💯
Yes BDP....you are so right...you don't need the latest PC/Mac/iPad etc....just get a previous version for much less and invest your money elsewhere on specific gears. As new products are release prices will drop...eventually. Each brand has there releases on new models at least twice a year. For those who strictly prefer Mac (laptop/desktop) the older models are easily upgrade-able, because the newer models now have parts that are affixed/soldered which will resort to one having to use things externally ...particularly with storage space....so spend wisely if you're just starting out...and good luck! Great studio tour! Thanks BDP.
What's up Bolo really appreciate you. One question I have I hope you can answer. I have a mpc 2000xl and a renaissance. Would you recommend I get the mpc x ? 🤔 do you think that is needed to compete with today's sound?
I had a 2012 Macbook pro until 2018. When I upgraded to a 2015 macbook pro, with 16 gb ram, and a 512gb ssd. Logic pro X is only thing I use, libraries and everything else can go on an sd card and or an external usb 3.0 drive. The 2012 served me well, but it died when my daughter spilled water on in :/. haha (not funny). Nice set up, modest and gets it done. That's what I basically have as well, minus the rack stuff.
Very inspiring setup. I’m looking to improve my home studio. I already have some of that gear. But this is definitely ideal for me as a producer and engineer. Thanks for sharing.
Great studio... Can you tell me the make and model of that power conditioner tower under the table, I do understand it an old model, but I like the fact that it served you fine. Thanks in advance
That's a good thing I just heard you say that the base was gathering dust that's OK it's good to be blessed I just made my promise I would try not to let anything gather dust I have a few broken computers it takes dedication to get fixed
Thanks for the video. I like how you held the camera from the perspective of someone sitting at the desk. I thought the racks on the desktop of the Halo would be too intrusive and busy for my OCD, but now I'm thinking maybe it might be ok.
Those Argosy console desks are pretty much the industry standard in high end studios. I own the same halo desk myself. A very solid well made desk that will last for decades. Def worth the money for sure!
Dude You Walk Me Through Your Basement Studio & Then I Look In The Mirror & I See Me!! The Remote Control Car 🚙 Did It!! Man I Almost Have What U Have lol I’m looking at myself 💪🏾 Big Ups Bolo!!
I was always a headphone guy (playing games), just bought a t5v, now hearing a hiss and it’s worse when playing. I ordered some balanced cables, if it doesn’t work, I’m returning it

Bolo I was telling my friends about you so they will be watching you on here!!! What link is the new expansion pack to the mpc? You made a video about it and I didn't save it.
I love that NI M32 case. Definitely will check that out. Just got my my M32 from Sweetwater about a month ago. It's compact and doesn't take up a lot of space.
Appreciate the video, very well explained. I am in the process of redoing my set up I am going to be using Nuendo 10 on my MacBook Pro 2015 mid, cubsasis 3 and beat-maker 3 for my iPad Pro 11.If possIble can you do a video in regards to taking a sample from a website like looperman or splice and loading into BM3?
I thought it was just me on the KRK sub, but it was too boomy. JBL is just right for my room, matched with Adam A7x, but I miss the foot switch off option.
What your home studio dimensions along with recording both, can you explain. I have a (10 ft x 10 ft 6 inch) room and with it I have a attached store which is (5 ft x 5 ft) which I want to convert into recording area. Can I record in (5 x 5) ft area. And also want to know that in 10 ft x 10 ft 6 inch room which Monitors will be best, like 5 inch, 6 inch or 8 inch.
Greetings again brother. This was another wonderful video. I was wondering do you use a/d converters to get your mixes and Masters done? Looking at copping some and wondering what your thoughts were.
I noticed you have the Argosy stands on carpet... I have the same pair, moving from hardwood to carpet... Did you put spikes on the bottom or is that unnecessary? Thanks in advance. Very interesting video... Glad I came across it. Sub!
yo man , nice studio , i think you didnt mentioned or maybe i missed it but i would like to know what are the dimensions of your studio room btw i was thinking what kind of budget headphones to get for producing heavy bass music , do you recommend the ATH M30x for that purpose ?
Good video man, top quality gear! I have the Apollo X6 and the Avalon 737. Just out of curiosity, what preamp out of them both do you feel has a better sound? I bypass the Apollo pre and use the Avalon's pre, but i'm just curious how you have it set up and what you prefer man
Beautiful gear!!!! I use to have more but I realize I don’t need a lot. My brother has that same IMac and it’s fully loaded. I’m wondering should I get that from him or buy the 2018 IPad? Can I really do it all on just the IPad? I also wanna play my guitar through my it.
Great audio setup, a lot of great equipment, the behringer patchbay makes me a little nervous though. I’d be afraid of it degrading the sound from all your other high quality gear. I like those panels, do you have the link how to build those?
It really can’t degrade it. It’s passive and uses no power. It’s hard to mess up a patchbay design. As long as there’s a decent connection, it does the job.
Nice Bolo Luv it and also that u don't do many upgrades which are a plus sometimes what you if its works well don't touch it But you forgot about that computer chair lol nice set love it
Hi, I’m starting to use the Roland FA to arrange songs. Never done it before and always had FL or Logic. How far can someone go with just Roland FA? Is it realistic to use is as the centerpiece to arrange a song without daw?
To see you go from that apartment in Tuscaloosa to THIS makes me darn near cry. So proud of you brother. SO VERY proud of you. You inspire me.
I like that you definitely dont waist your money on trends or a flex. Very minimal and modest that's awesome man keep up the good work
Thanks

Save up homie. I literally started on a used laptop
In when you do keep making beats putting them out i was told by bolo 👍🏾
you just need a second hand iPad and a midi controller to start making beats save up my dude !
Just get a laptop or iPad.if Fruity loops or beatmaker. Start there.

Nice video bro . How much will it cost me to open a mini studio? For a start. Will appreciate your response.
Nice studio. Just curious, do you leave your shelving pots on the Alpha 65's at neutral? If not, please elaborate. Thank you
They are the 8s and I’m not quite understanding your question. Are you asking eq?
@@BoloDaProducer Yes, on the back of the monitors.
I keep everything neutral
