    The habitat you've created is is very interesting. At first glance is simply a few rocks and pieces of drift wood. But the way you arranged the wood and rocks provides a complex environment for your turtle to interact with. More importantly, it is very pleasing to the eye.

    Hi there lady, looking good. I agree on the live plants and the turtles. they do destroy them. You could put in the ones that are safe for them to eat. So if he does eat it, its ok. LOL..on the decor, yup, just toss 'em in there, LOL..I need to get more rocks. I love how you did that.

  • @develeto21
    @develeto21 4 года назад

    My turtle eats live plants too usually but I've put Marimo moss balls into his tank since turtles seem to not like their taste and they help maintain the water quality pretty well I think, my ammonia and nitrite level is at 0 and my nitrate level is around 10ppm. You can get them off Amazon and they might make vacuuming your tank a little more difficult but it may be worth it

      Your turtle can absolutely lay eggs even if it has no mate, they just won't be fertilized. If you don't give her an area to lay eggs, she can become eggbound, which is deadly. I've been recommended an above-tank basking platform filled with play sand, though I haven't researched to confirm if that's the best.

    • @RioCahyadiDrayka
      @RioCahyadiDrayka 4 года назад

      In my opinion they don't need to be acclimated but what we should do is putting them in the basking area so they can "prepare" for the dive or slowly put them to the water with your palm as the platform. Just don't drop them straight to the water, i have bad experience with mine because of that (this little guy traumatized by that one accident and refuse to go into deep water).

    I'm over trying to do live plants in my red ears tank. She destroys them everytime. I do still buy them for her to eat tho. And the guy were I buy them from always gives me his plants that aren't doing well for cheap and free alot of times since he knows it's just for her to eat.

    What do you do when the water in the tank begins to evaporate? The water in my tank begins to evaporate within two weeks, and we always have to put more water. Does this happen to you? If so, again, what do you do?

    Hello, I have 2 questions. The 1st question is, the LED strip light on the top, is that anything beneficial for the turtle or is it just for looks? Second question is what is that bubble machine you put on the back, what is the reason for the bubble machine

    One thing I wanted to mention about the planted tank is one of the reasons it didn’t work out might be because Buenos Aires tetras will for sure eat live plants and are the fish you want to avoid for planted tanks,
