Contrary to what people think, I think this proves that they're both equal in fighting (at least in just a straight up throwdown with no rules). Miguel just managed to get the upper hand which gave him the win, could've been the same for Robby as well. I don't think the writers were trying to give us a "better fighter" here. Also the choreography for this fight was amazing.

You can be equal to an opponent, but something could go wrong, clothes could be baggy, shoe laces untied, uneven terrain, so they have clearer shots. One could be more tired. Etc. In Miguel's case here, he got Robby to a railing, so Robby could barely do anything cause he had no room to move, especially with Miguel keeping him there. So Miguel just wails on him. You COULD make the argument that Miguel is the better fighter, but the margin in difference and skill is so miniscule that they may as well be even.
Looking at this fight, I'm glad Johnny's consistent in letting people duke it out to air out their grievances. Watching season 6, it makes sense why he, at least, acts the way he does.

I doubt it. Boys and girls are different. And how they resolve conflict is different. Boys resolve things through fights, not girls. Between girls, if it devolves into violence, it means negotiations have broken down. But with boys, the fight IS the negotiation. Not saying one is more preferable than the other, just different. Tory and Sam need to talk it out. That's how girls really resolve things. Just that one convo at Tory's house in season 5 was enough to get them on the same page for the night. One more heart to heart is all they need.

We already know Sam is the superior fighter. We already know she would win, as she's won every time before, but it never solved anything, it only angered Tory more. Yes we do see them on the sparring deck(where once again Sam is getting the best of Tory) but that seems like it's part of Mike Barnes "eliminations"(whatever the hell that is) than it is a real fight between them.
