one of the catalyst there were other factors at play such as yasmine crashing johnny's car leading to him meeting daniel again combined being sick of living a meaningless life and having daniel's ads being all over his face and sam being daniel's daughter who was with yasmine that was the last straw. also none of this would have happened if miguel's grandma didn have diahorea

I also see that, even watching through Season 3, Miguel still gets tossed and knocked around a lot. Yeah, he's real good at shifting his momentum and getting back on balance, but he should probably try to prevent himself from getting rag-dolled as much.

in s3 we can justify some of that,i mean miguel just got back of a serious spine injury,its obvious that he was rusty and not at full power, i mean miguel of s3 wasnt close to his S1 version

its truly a lonely and horrific fate for a man, boys have got so much more to lose than girls in fighting, plus society is on the girls side
Miguel saved more than just sam in that situation, Kyler's tattered dignity and his ego too. I'm not sure his ego would survive being destroyed by a tiny girl

Miguel is easily the best character. His karate storylines are good, but he also has other storylines that helped out (seasons 3 and 5 dealing with inner battles and facing his weaknesses and insecurities).
1:12 reference to The Karate Kid's ending battle when the girl says "no mercy!" and Miguel sweeps the leg of the bully, just like Johnny did.
Miguel is true face of Cobra Kai. He could achieve all those things with Cobra Kai but of course Kreese and Silver ruined everything as usual.

It's kind of ironic in a tragic way that Terry and Kreese ruined all their top students motivation to stay with Cobra Kai.

Johnny's teaching seems to help the ones that need the drive, while Daniel is more helpful to bringing peace to the already troubled kids.
That's an interesting point. Hadn't looked at that way before, but it makes sense.
More than just drive, Johnny seeks to have them conquer their fears. He just made that more formal with Eagle Fang. "Fight or Flight is a human response. An Eagle's response is fight AND flight!!"
I love how this was like a normal show until the season one finale and it became a super hero show. They managed to make that transition perfectly. Such a creative show.
The lighting and music is waaaay better than in the future seasons on NF

It’s always the best when Kyler gets defeated by a “weaker” person. He’s the definition of a punching bag, seemingly so scary then gets hit hard.
I was bullied all the time growing up. Now that I think about it, I should of stood up for myself in high school.
I know what that's like bro. I have been bullied and called different kinds of names and slurs. Internalized racist brown kids would call me an ape, some would call me a f@$$01, even if I wasn't an LGBTQ.

I can see why almost everyone at this school started karate training. Who would be the idiot that wouldn't start training knowing that it changed everyone's lives for the better? Like, Demetri and Hawk were nerds and now they're one of the strongest in school. Miguel there is probably the most popular guy in school. I can imagine people who don't train karate telling others that have beef with them not to try anything. "Dude, it's Miguel. Are you fucking crazy?"

I’m not a Cobra Kai guy but those bullies had it coming. I guarantee they won’t mess with him or that girl they were humiliating. Not to mention anybody else they were being asswholes to. This is why you don’t underestimate people.
Actually Kyler messes with him more in later seasons. But he is intimidated for several episodes after this.

very few things ive watched match the vibe on the first 2 seasons of the show the Johnny Miguel dynamic was unmatched up until the season 2 finale. imo show went downhill from there but wasn't bad but came back up with a strong season 5.
