MrParkerman6 Martial arts are a physical skill they have nothing to do with any of that, some of the most famous martial artist in history were complete assholes. Another guy who is translated name was divine crushing fist, he was known for killing every single opponent he ever had in every challenge match.... you don’t need to be a good person to be able to fight amazingly well.
Hawk was bullied ruthlessly, everywhere he went before he got the Mohawk and got confidence, was everybody just making fun of his lip which was cruel. He probably tried to make friends and chat up girls before, and they just made fun of his lip. And Johnny making fun of him for that was the last straw for him, so he changed his look and gradually became more confident. Unfortunately, due to how Hawk was treated in his past, he now believes that if he isn't aggressive, no one will take him seriously. Miguel was only bullied by Kyler, and didn't have anything to really make fun of, so it wasn't as bad for him as it was for Hawk.

Defeating them on fair terms would have probably earned Dan the respect of the Cobras for at least standing to them on the Karate mat and getting so far. Kreese has got a messed up way of looking at human relationships.

I don't get how anybody could watch this show and be on Daniel or Sam's side. They are so self-righteous and judgemental. Most of this show is Johnny trying to grow and become a better man while Daniel and Sam jump to conclusions. I loved Daniel in Karate Kid, can't stand him now. I didn't mind Robbie at first but he pretty much became a human labrador, which got pretty irritating. Miyagi-Do is so sanctimonious it's annoying to watch sometimes. They always come out on top whenever they fight too, are we meant to be rooting for them and happy each time Robbie and Sam beat Cobra Kai, strike a pose and stand there grinning? Side note - Dimitri wasn't a good friend to start with in the first place, Eli was just stuck with him. He's negative, sarcastic and arrogant. He's an a**hole in his own way. I'm loving this show, but I'm starting to get scared that season 3 will be another Hill Valley tournament with everyone at Cobra Kai losing to their Miyagi-Do counterparts.

@@raphaxedits fr I was honestly really shook when I heard Kreese’s voice at the ending of season 1 when he came back to see Johnny . I just did not see that coming
True I often was told to control my punches and kicks in Class. Because I was the hardest striker in my group. Control is important you don't want to knock people out when you don't get your way or disagreement happens. It's a time and place for everything.
Kent Peterson Wha? I can see what you mean with Miguel starting a fight with Robbie, but Yasmine and Kyler deserved it. They started their fights, Kyler beat the hell out of Miguel and continuously messed with him until Miguel shut him down. Yasmine did the same thing verbally with Aisha.
Before I got into this show I had heard talk of a very extreme character called Hawk. When he made his first big entrance I was like ‘Wait... the quiet meek lip kid is Hawk??’ And he just continued to impress from there...
Most of the time, that's how it is in real life. Evil begets evil (not that bullying is necessarily evil, although it can be depending on the circumstance).
Closely looking at Eli's character I feel like him and Aisha are gonna have the biggest character archs in next season. The moment where Eli loses the fight against Demitri he gets permanent scars not only in the loss, but his understanding that he's not as strong as he's letting on to believe. Because he underestimated his opponent who wasn't his enemy to begin with it was his best friend. At the end of the season when Miguel falls over the railing the first person in the shot over his body is Hawk. Letting me further to believe that he's going to hold a deep resentment and hatred for himself for striking first, but without mercy. Leading to the fight ending so shockingly. Aisha on the other hand didn't get a moment at the end of the season to show any impact to the outcomes that followed between Miyagi Dojo or Cobra Kai so in shame for not being there to defend either of her friends she mistakenly follows Kreese's guidance becoming darker less merciful. And he saves both himself and her resulting in them joining Johnny with Daniel in fixing both Dojos philosophy into one. A balanced one.
Bucky Barnes, Holy shit dude. I think I know what's gonna happen in season two. After what you said about Hawk smiling from the illegal move, I think Johnny is gonna kick him out of his dojo. That's why Kreese appears at the end. Hawk becomes Kreese's student as well as a few others from school.
This series shows how hard Karate actually is to learn because you need to learn how to defend yourself as well as control yourself. Once you know how to defend yourself you need to know not to be overconfident. You need to control yourself and that's how you will truly succeed.
The Man 316... I noticed that too, but what it seems like they did was "lessen" how visible it was. Fairly certain it was a production decision to bring more impact to his "new persona" instead of the lip scar.
The writers wrote his character really well, the actor played him even better, he’s basically gone from playing an insecure introvert to basically the exact opposite.
@Vinny Fuchs it's israel, not islam, dumbass. there's nothing PC about respecting the religious state of israel which discriminates against anyone who isn't jewish. "giving girls privileges" like what? respecting a person's consent is just being a decent person. that has nothing to do with reproduction. besides, not everyone has to have children. trump is a whole pussy.
Johnny apparently is Jesus: 1) 04:19 Johnny cured his autism! 2) Have you noticed Hawk's lip scar has gotten smaller since training under Johnny? 3) Previously, Miguel had asthma; he hasn't had any symptoms since Johnny slapped the asthma pump out of his hand.
Well the asthma think makes sense if it was mild. With enough conditioning training is quite common to get “rid” of it (needing the pump). However, it needs to be controllable because I’ve seen some people have asthma attacks with just jogging/running 100 meters, so I’d imagine it must be much harder or nearly impossible for them.
"The Dr. Says i might be on the spectrum." "I don't know what that is, but get off it pronto!" 🤔🤔🤔😂😂 I do not mean any disrespect to anyone who is autistic. But that was hilarious!!!
Of all the characters and all the transformations, even the original characters of Daniel and Johnny, it’s Eli to Hawk that fascinates me the most from a psychological perspective. He goes from the persecuted and bullied and morphs into what he used to hate and detest-an asshole. He lost his kindness and his tenderness in exchange for bravado and rage. No one tells him that he can stay true to who he is in his heart and still be kind AND be a badass at the same time. The actor playing him is phenomenal. Right down to the nuance of his head tilt and how it changes. His transformation, for me, is the most dramatic, tragic, and exhilarating of all the characters.
Hawk wasn’t a nerd. In the story he was borederline slow. Would be nice to see more of the story focus on the students vs the past group. I like the Cobra Kai for taking the kids the other class would not.
Tbh it’s understandable why he started acting out, not saying it’s right but the anger from being constantly mistreated just keeps building up until you break
I like that Dimitri instantly accepts Miguel as a friend by saying “I’d kill both of you just to have her spit in my face” it’s of course a strange way of putting it but to me it means he sees them as a trio already
I like the transformation he went from a total nerd to total douche then eventually he found a balance to it where he's kind but can be douche where he's just badass

Oh boy, s3 was literally gang wars
Well Dani- nvm no spoilers
Glad to say its not

I definitely liked his transformation. I think in season two Hawk will fully embrace the darkside and Kreese or Barnes may become his new Sensei.
Wow... U predicted it.. Awesome..
Woww... I predicted it.. Awsome dude..

@@raphaxedits fr I was honestly really shook when I heard Kreese’s voice at the ending of season 1 when he came back to see Johnny . I just did not see that coming
Miguel is not bad he just need to know when to take it easy. Hawk is not bad either he just need to chill sometimes.
True I often was told to control my punches and kicks in Class. Because I was the hardest striker in my group. Control is important you don't want to knock people out when you don't get your way or disagreement happens.
It's a time and place for everything.
Johnny pretty much told these kids to start fight by starting fights.
Yeah, He can turn it around he got some good students. They admire Johnny a lot.
EMR80 Strike first Strike hard,No mercy ! From COBRA KAI OF CIUDAD JUAREZ !
Hawk needs therapy

Most of the time, that's how it is in real life. Evil begets evil (not that bullying is necessarily evil, although it can be depending on the circumstance).
shinigami, well yeah. That explains why some of those victims become cops.

Great insight
Thanks anything can happen though!
Bro you have got to slap a spoiler warning on this shit.
Why would he regret striking first without mercy? He saw that it got his friend, Miguel almost killed after sparing Robby.
It's based on their past selves they may be great fighters now but underneath they are still the same people.
I like Hawk.. he is a badass.. I hate Robbie lol.. #TeamCobraKai
GatoFox Tube well he cheated. And he illegally hurt his sensei’s own son and smiled at it.
Seth Winters woah
Me too
I agree he is my favorite Cobra Miguel is better in way at karate but Hawk is a loose cannon!!!!!!!
This series shows how hard Karate actually is to learn because you need to learn how to defend yourself as well as control yourself. Once you know how to defend yourself you need to know not to be overconfident. You need to control yourself and that's how you will truly succeed.
This Kid is awesome!!
when kids flip the script, chances are they will succeed in adulthood.
when in doubt turn to punk
W. Rivera hey am I wrong or is the scar gone after he changes? Cause when he’s showing off his back tattoo I can’t see it anymore 🤔
The Man 316... I noticed that too, but what it seems like they did was "lessen" how visible it was. Fairly certain it was a production decision to bring more impact to his "new persona" instead of the lip scar.
Mr. Nerve Damage I wonder if it’s a production thing or if it’s something the character uses
The scar is still there, but the haircut draws the attention away from it.
I like lip's bad ass transformation into hawk - it's a kind of revenge.
Eli’s progression to Hawk was so god damn fire I felt like a proud father.
I love Hawk. I hope Demetri has his transformation soon too.

Johnny apparently is Jesus:
1) 04:19 Johnny cured his autism!
2) Have you noticed Hawk's lip scar has gotten smaller since training under Johnny?
3) Previously, Miguel had asthma; he hasn't had any symptoms since Johnny slapped the asthma pump out of his hand.
You Neva Been This High Our saviour, Johnny Lawerence. Great points
I’m glad I wasn’t the only one that noticed this, seems like he learned the Miyagi healing technique instead of Danny 😂
I laugh tears! xD xD xD

Hawk is the most badass character in the show
Of all the characters and all the transformations, even the original characters of Daniel and Johnny, it’s Eli to Hawk that fascinates me the most from a psychological perspective.
Great insight Rebecca
cuttie1427 thank you! And thanks for making a great video!
Hawk wasn’t a nerd. In the story he was borederline slow. Would be nice to see more of the story focus on the students vs the past group. I like the Cobra Kai for taking the kids the other class would not.
Even Miguel looked annoyed at Hawk for cheating when he got off the mat. You'd think he'd be the first to cheer that Robbie had been injured.
