- Mani from Motomillion sent me a set of carbon fiber Rotobox Boost wheels for my 2013 Ducati 1199 Panigale R. Along with the wheels he also provided a cut-away sample of a Rotobox Boost motorcycle wheel. Also the grippy bead seat helps keep the tires from slipping under hard braking and acceleration. Race cars often have knurling on the bead area.

Damn, I haven't really watched the R1M build, but wow it looks incredible. I love the gold idea but the big spoke wheel just doesn't appeal to me, I love the bst rapid tek look. That kid in the back with a "650ib" hat on his phone haha. You're making me want take my drone out when I ride!! Great shots man.

Hey... My issues started immediately after I purchased the bike in 2013. I took it to a dealership for service and they basically destroyed the engine. They tried repairing it several times but it never worked. The guys at Ducati Detroit worked with Ducati Corporate to get me a new engine and now the bike is flawless.
@@650ib okay thanks, I have a 2012 1199 with 3756 miles on it and just this week the engine light came on and the dash flashed WARNING ⚠ across the display. I can't tell that the bike is running bad and lights and warning will go off but then comes back on later. It's worst possible timing because I have a track day at COTA next weekend 😬🔫
Take my advice and get it serviced from a reputable Ducati dealer asap man! Also, get the Ducati Red 4yr warranty ✔️✔️✔️✔️✔️✔️

Nice wheels but a very expensive way to get rid of only 4 lbs. weight. Get a lithium battery better bang for buck. I never rode a bike with CF wheels but apparently the rotating gyroscopic difference is significant. I saw another video where CF wheels were put on a XDiavel S and something like 24-27 lbs was saved just using the CF wheeels.

KindaPhoenix agreed. The shape is just off. Bike spokes should taper near the rim in my opinion. If you have to add an extra spoke to make it the same strength as the thicker spokes, then do that.

@@@650ib - Come on man, I've been around bikes since I was 9. Ducati bikes have always been one of the worst or the worst reliable bikes on the streets. I've been riding big bikes back when the 916 was the top Ducati, then the 996, 998, 999, and all of them had one issue after another, especially leaking clutchs. The Panigale bikes when they don't have issues (mainly electrical), seem to get really hot on long rides to the point some of my buds have to stop and cool their ass and thighs. Ducati bikes are for rich people or good mechanics, us normal wagers novice mechanics have better luck with the Japanese bikes. I still got my old 1999 R1 with over 100K miles on it and it's running very well, only replaced chain & sprockets, and usual maintenance. I really wanted to go with the Panigale but I read too many issues with heat and electrical so I went with the S1000RR. I've put over 20K miles on it and so far no issues (fingers crossed).
