I'm pretty sure the reduce damage by 8 is them balancing brave units. Because giving some brave units -2 cool down by default is insane. So the least they could do is lower their damage output

That's probably the single best thing to come out of this in my opinion. There used to be cases like that one seasonal Nino from a year or two ago who had both A/S Finish 4 and Time's Pulse 4, but because of the limit of 4 skills during inheritance her fodder was terrible because you couldn't grab both skills at the same time unless you already had the level 3 versions of the skills. This is going to make it significantly less painful when they introduce a brand new tier 4 skill line that didn't exist previously such as the Finish or Clash skills.

Let's go Felix and Alphonse! It's about time we see these two along with Bernadetta and Female Robin get some long awaited love. I would've loved to see Sharena and Diamant up there but I'll take these guys any day of the week! As for the rest of the channel, the ability to now Engage seems pretty cool, but the fact that anyone can engage and that merges and dragonflowers increases it's power somewhat worries me. We'll have to wait and see how good or bad it'll actually be. It's also about damn time we got five inheritance slots. It felt like a total meme that IS wanted to keep dragging on at this point. And that new tooltip feature telling us what each bonus does is a massive W. While I would've preferred a glossary of every skill and what they do, I'd say this somewhat better.

I just wish we got more orbs, florets and a Otherworld Bond, but I’m happy for what we’re getting. ALSO SKILL INHERITANCE CAP RAISE IS AMAZING, but overall this has been my favorite FEH channel in yearss

I don't really know what to feel about this new Emblem mechanic. I will see what OP specials people will come up with.

Finally some good QoL improvement that the community has been requesting!! In terms of CYL, so glad Alfonse and Female Robin got top 2. Also glad we didn’t get an Engage Sweep. Not excited about Felix and Bernie, but at least we don’t have to hear about them anymore.
Probably the best anniversary we've had so far in FEH, so many freebies, free summons, 5 skill inheritance, Reginn remix and a new type of hero! Just the CYL8 results were disappointing and unsurprising, but I already expected that. I still don't understand why Three Houses is still getting so much love, why Bernadetta and Felix are such popular characters, but at least they'll be out of the way for good. I'm expecting next year the same boring, and expected results: at least 2x 3H characters, at least 1x protagonist and probably 1x, or if we're lucky 2x Engage characters. Nice to see Alfonse getting some love, but I would've not cared if he didn't make the top-2. F!Robin is fitting and expected, and I'm only happy to see her as one of the winners.

I'm also sad my votes are in vain from all my 3 accounts I have but I actually don't feel that sad and disappointed because I love Felix and Bernadette and F!Robin and also I love Alfonse but I did not vote for any of them but that doesn't makes me hate on the game because of the community not really wanting my units to win because they don't consider them or don't want/value them enough

@krismarshall3803 The Engage developers said they were trying to catch an even bigger audience than what even 3H captured. It's not about "normies", it's just that Engage is mid, being the least successful modern FE title (excl. Echoes).
I believe engage did not win in CYL because people understand it would be a caste because the engage units are gonna get stronger units anyway off the CYL but for some other title units basically CYL is like trying to survive the oblivion ages inevitably incoming to them
Someone on Reddit crunched the numbers and both Three Houses and Engage got over 60k votes, with Engage only getting 1k less than Three Houses. The problem was the Engage votes were too spread out between characters while Three Houses was more focused on specific characters (partly because a lot of the popular characters were eliminated for already winning).
Best anniversary we've gotten 100%. I wish I had my crystal ball, so I would know the inheritance increase was happening. I would've wanted to inherit the full Atk/Spd Prime set along with No Quarter from Winter Dimitri onto my Attuned Triandra, but I honestly couldn't really inherit it onto anyone else anyway. It's gonna change the way fodder and rearmed units are used now. Even though I think the attuned skill and rearmed weapons should come free if the unit can use it, it's more than I expected. Every time we get an update on the 5* units getting demoted, I always manage to get every single one of them to pity break me beforehand. Palla, Zeke, Nyx, and Dedue are on the hitlist rn. Unfortunately Astrid didn't get thrown into the bunch. The Engage heroes seem fun, but I'm sure they're not going into the normal summoning pool like the Attuned and Rearmed units. Really wish some of the old Legendary units were more accessible. No one is pulling for Legendary Ephraim or Lyn, and they're worse than some year 1 units solely because you'll never merge them up. It's not like you should, but if someone wanted to then they're screwed. The free Special Hero Summon seems to be best on Green. Red is by far the worst due to having 5 demotes despite tieing for the most units, where as Green only has 2 demotes, same amount of units as red, yet still has very meta influential units with good fodder to boot. Blue is 2nd best with 3 demotes, and the unit quality is better than Colorless despite colorless only having 2 demotes. Every single color has meta influential units, but red has by far the worst odds to get something you want, and colorless just doesn't have as many good units in general. Green has best odds, but the meta is centered around red units being dominant so you may want to go for blue anyway. The last 3 years have been absolute duds for me, so I'll likely get Ferdinand or Reina. Dancer Ethlyn, Kurthnaga, and Vika were my shitty pulls from the free summons. I lucked out on the first one with NY Selkie who I couldn't get on her banner, and then it drained the rest of my luck for all the future ones. Honestly, really happy not a single Engage character is a brave unit. Yunaka is annoying and shallowly written, and Diamant and Ivy are likely going to get many alts already since they're fan favorites of Engage. I'm not a huge fan of Bernadetta, but I understand why she's popular. Alfonse kinda deserves it after being shafted for so long in almost every single alt he's had. Would've liked love for Sharena, to help develop her character more, or Azura since she's the best written character in fates. Felix is honestly surprising, since I know he's well liked, but there's still fan favorites that I thought would beat him out.
This was definitely an amazing Feh Channel with some stellar updates and rewards. Disappointing to see another damn 3H sweep for CYL again... but grats for the Alphster and F Robin! Very excited to see Emblem alts! The only thing that bothers me is the continued growth of the 4 star special pools. At this rate, they really should just make it to where all gen 1 thru gen 3 units are just 3 to 4 stars, because what value does Innes from book 1 have? Deirde? Ryoma? Even free DC and CC from Takumi and Hector wouldn't be gamebreaking or really even good since we have Prime skills and Atk/spd solo DC, etc. But otherwise great update!
I'm not a fan of the engage units needing to be at +10 to get the max benefit - though I guess it'll give the whales something to spend more money on to earn the game money. If you're an f2p player and come up against a whale with the exact same team, they can now have an extra +8 stats compared to you. (Meaning that they deal 16 more damage on your unit which has 11 less hp, and outspeed you by 8)

Biggest takeaways: 1) The amount of "WHAT?!?" I shouted while watching this was enough to wake up my dog and my toddler 2) Too slow, IS, I'm still not gonna replay Engage. Please don't go through 12+ Engage units... unless they're gonna _always_ be stapled as a second unit to every L/M banner they appear in, in which case by all means! 3) If I knew nothing of Fire Emblem, Daisuke Izuka's beyond-epic final boss team illustration would get me to start playing. Holy crap
Undeniably good changes, but all of them seem safe. Maybe they could do an entire dialogue and game menu or "world hub" overhaul next... I might even begin to care about the story when it's not just Fjorm monologuing about being princess every time new heroes appear in Fjorming bonds or everyone fighting off imaginary bandits. (Or if they're real it only shows how poorly managed the kingdom is hence I hate the whole Askr family save for Sharena who probably even isn't royal blood.) I wouldn't mind IntSys experimenting with more varied maps either or at the very least run Grand Conquests more often than once a year. A new hero type with a deeper and more impactful mechanic than just another skill passive slot is fine. I'm not looking forward to summoning for them if there won't be any changes to Mythic/Legendary/Emblem heroes banners. I can't just forget and forgive spending 1300+ Orbs on my one and only copy of Plumeria and even then I only got her from the damn first sparkable banner with a 40/40 summons spark and no other 5* units until then lmao. FEH truly was and remains to be the worst gacha I've ever had the misfortune of having enjoyed. Also 7 orbs for the 7th anniversary is more than Genshin's 3 fates (=orbs) for the 3rd year lmao. I haven't played the game in a long time, but it cracks me up how the most popular gacha in the world outdoes IntSys' stinginess every time they announce any rewards.
And here we goooo, like we need people to open the floodgates to even rag on engage even more. When its literally felix and bernie of all characters to be making this comparisoj XD. I have never been more disappointed/disinterested in a cyl as this years winners. I actively dislike 3 out of the 4 winners and the one I do like is hard to get excited for as it's a female version of last year's winner.

Well I'm glad that Bernadetta finally won CYL but Alfonse is concerning and also a bit on the other hand surprising and I'm actually curious what will they do with him lol I hope its not alt but an upgrade to original permanent bonus in AR and arena and sweep quests and as for Felix and F!Robin I'm also excited because I love that Felix will get more new units and new lores and man F!Robin is FINALLY saved from Grimas clutch and saved from his despair THANK YOU guys thanks to all of you who voted for F!Robin she is finally saved from being in the shadows of eternity and no more Grima's vessel ❤but tbh it hurts that my Sigurd did not win BUT they did gave me a very nice and handsome teatime Sigurd picture for anniversary so that's still a win I will try to pull him through the next year CYL and Deirdre and some others of my silent wish votes
As for this anniversary itself I'm hyped for it's additional slot upgrade as that will mean a lot when inheriting from reaarmed units at least we will be able to take their weapons and 1 entire skill chain which is still far from perfection but is on the right path and it gives me personally a hope that the game is getting better through their time the way they handle the game but even in the hopelessness I still stood hopeful that one day I will see the light of hope being light up because of my lord being there to give me strength to stay positive about the game and stomach gacha system

@@drpac9164 I actually feel like Legendary Camilla, Gullveig and the Winter Byleths have a bigger chance to win and would be much more threatening, though Edelgard always has high chances to at least get in the Voting Gauntlet because...well, it's Edelgard.

Tbh alfred is still a good choice for slower units since we dont have any othter slow rearmed lances, but overall arcane luin is still better but.

Probably the best anniversary we've had so far in FEH, so many freebies, free summons, 5 skill inheritance, Reginn remix and a new type of hero! Just the CYL8 results were disappointing and unsurprising, but I already expected that. I still don't understand why Three Houses is still getting so much love, why Bernadetta and Felix are such popular characters, but at least they'll be out of the way for good. I'm expecting next year the same boring, and expected results: at least 2x 3H characters, at least 1x protagonist and probably 1x, or if we're lucky 2x Engage characters. Nice to see Alfonse getting some love, but I would've not cared if he didn't make the top-2. F!Robin is fitting and expected, and I'm only happy to see her as one of the winners.

I'm also sad my votes are in vain from all my 3 accounts I have but I actually don't feel that sad and disappointed because I love Felix and Bernadette and F!Robin and also I love Alfonse but I did not vote for any of them but that doesn't makes me hate on the game because of the community not really wanting my units to win because they don't consider them or don't want/value them enough

I wanted Sharena, Leif and Joshua to win, and while the first two were so close, Joshua doesn't even get close! But that doesn't mean I gotta get grumpy because I didn't get what I wanted.

@krismarshall3803 The Engage developers said they were trying to catch an even bigger audience than what even 3H captured. It's not about "normies", it's just that Engage is mid, being the least successful modern FE title (excl. Echoes).
I believe engage did not win in CYL because people understand it would be a caste because the engage units are gonna get stronger units anyway off the CYL but for some other title units basically CYL is like trying to survive the oblivion ages inevitably incoming to them
Someone on Reddit crunched the numbers and both Three Houses and Engage got over 60k votes, with Engage only getting 1k less than Three Houses. The problem was the Engage votes were too spread out between characters while Three Houses was more focused on specific characters (partly because a lot of the popular characters were eliminated for already winning).
Best anniversary we've gotten 100%. I wish I had my crystal ball, so I would know the inheritance increase was happening. I would've wanted to inherit the full Atk/Spd Prime set along with No Quarter from Winter Dimitri onto my Attuned Triandra, but I honestly couldn't really inherit it onto anyone else anyway. It's gonna change the way fodder and rearmed units are used now. Even though I think the attuned skill and rearmed weapons should come free if the unit can use it, it's more than I expected.
Every time we get an update on the 5* units getting demoted, I always manage to get every single one of them to pity break me beforehand. Palla, Zeke, Nyx, and Dedue are on the hitlist rn. Unfortunately Astrid didn't get thrown into the bunch.
The Engage heroes seem fun, but I'm sure they're not going into the normal summoning pool like the Attuned and Rearmed units. Really wish some of the old Legendary units were more accessible. No one is pulling for Legendary Ephraim or Lyn, and they're worse than some year 1 units solely because you'll never merge them up. It's not like you should, but if someone wanted to then they're screwed.
The free Special Hero Summon seems to be best on Green. Red is by far the worst due to having 5 demotes despite tieing for the most units, where as Green only has 2 demotes, same amount of units as red, yet still has very meta influential units with good fodder to boot. Blue is 2nd best with 3 demotes, and the unit quality is better than Colorless despite colorless only having 2 demotes. Every single color has meta influential units, but red has by far the worst odds to get something you want, and colorless just doesn't have as many good units in general. Green has best odds, but the meta is centered around red units being dominant so you may want to go for blue anyway. The last 3 years have been absolute duds for me, so I'll likely get Ferdinand or Reina. Dancer Ethlyn, Kurthnaga, and Vika were my shitty pulls from the free summons. I lucked out on the first one with NY Selkie who I couldn't get on her banner, and then it drained the rest of my luck for all the future ones.
Honestly, really happy not a single Engage character is a brave unit. Yunaka is annoying and shallowly written, and Diamant and Ivy are likely going to get many alts already since they're fan favorites of Engage. I'm not a huge fan of Bernadetta, but I understand why she's popular. Alfonse kinda deserves it after being shafted for so long in almost every single alt he's had. Would've liked love for Sharena, to help develop her character more, or Azura since she's the best written character in fates. Felix is honestly surprising, since I know he's well liked, but there's still fan favorites that I thought would beat him out.

This was definitely an amazing Feh Channel with some stellar updates and rewards. Disappointing to see another damn 3H sweep for CYL again... but grats for the Alphster and F Robin! Very excited to see Emblem alts! The only thing that bothers me is the continued growth of the 4 star special pools. At this rate, they really should just make it to where all gen 1 thru gen 3 units are just 3 to 4 stars, because what value does Innes from book 1 have? Deirde? Ryoma? Even free DC and CC from Takumi and Hector wouldn't be gamebreaking or really even good since we have Prime skills and Atk/spd solo DC, etc. But otherwise great update!

I'm not a fan of the engage units needing to be at +10 to get the max benefit - though I guess it'll give the whales something to spend more money on to earn the game money.
If you're an f2p player and come up against a whale with the exact same team, they can now have an extra +8 stats compared to you. (Meaning that they deal 16 more damage on your unit which has 11 less hp, and outspeed you by 8)

Biggest takeaways:
1) The amount of "WHAT?!?" I shouted while watching this was enough to wake up my dog and my toddler
2) Too slow, IS, I'm still not gonna replay Engage. Please don't go through 12+ Engage units... unless they're gonna _always_ be stapled as a second unit to every L/M banner they appear in, in which case by all means!
3) If I knew nothing of Fire Emblem, Daisuke Izuka's beyond-epic final boss team illustration would get me to start playing. Holy crap
Undeniably good changes, but all of them seem safe. Maybe they could do an entire dialogue and game menu or "world hub" overhaul next... I might even begin to care about the story when it's not just Fjorm monologuing about being princess every time new heroes appear in Fjorming bonds or everyone fighting off imaginary bandits. (Or if they're real it only shows how poorly managed the kingdom is hence I hate the whole Askr family save for Sharena who probably even isn't royal blood.) I wouldn't mind IntSys experimenting with more varied maps either or at the very least run Grand Conquests more often than once a year.
A new hero type with a deeper and more impactful mechanic than just another skill passive slot is fine. I'm not looking forward to summoning for them if there won't be any changes to Mythic/Legendary/Emblem heroes banners. I can't just forget and forgive spending 1300+ Orbs on my one and only copy of Plumeria and even then I only got her from the damn first sparkable banner with a 40/40 summons spark and no other 5* units until then lmao. FEH truly was and remains to be the worst gacha I've ever had the misfortune of having enjoyed.
Also 7 orbs for the 7th anniversary is more than Genshin's 3 fates (=orbs) for the 3rd year lmao. I haven't played the game in a long time, but it cracks me up how the most popular gacha in the world outdoes IntSys' stinginess every time they announce any rewards.
And here we goooo, like we need people to open the floodgates to even rag on engage even more. When its literally felix and bernie of all characters to be making this comparisoj XD. They have more going on for them in backstory .....but Lord their execution with an actual personality os so shallow-and-ass that ya'll cant even accept why those 2 are ao popular lol

I have never been more disappointed/disinterested in a cyl as this years winners. I actively dislike 3 out of the 4 winners and the one I do like is hard to get excited for as it's a female version of last year's winner.
