If you look to your right, you are driving along the historic C& O canal that goes from Cumberland ,MD to Washington DC. The towpath is right beside the Potomac river! Many people like to bike on the Allegheny Great Passage from Pittsburgh, PA to Cumberland and get right on the C&O Canal and ride to Washington DC . You can also go from DC to Pgh, but it is all uphill!
Well, not completely, once you're above Frostburg on the GAP you hit the continental divide (!) and the trail slopes downward all the way to Pittsburgh. It is also pretty impressive how gently the C&O slopes upward only 600 feet from Washington to Cumberland, that last 20 miles before Cumberland seem really flat. The GAP just north of Cumberland immediately climbs more steeply but quickly on a railroad grade to that continental divide.
Looks like you are heading towards the city of Winchester, VA! Winchester changed hands numerous times during the Civil War. Winchester was the home of the famous countey singer Patsy Cline. She died in a small plane crash in her early 30's and is buried in Winchester, Virginia!
He wasn’t quite out of West Virginia when it ended cause I knew what he’s doing he was going down to 127 to catch up with the route 522 above rental store I’ve been this route many of times before so I know this rug pretty well good video though

Hey, do you know any places in the DMV area where you can drive somewhere and find good mountain views? Or park a car somewhere for good scenery ?
