Finally a youtuber who actually pointed out Eclipse when talking about the wings. Most other youtubers seems to forgot about him.
Absolutely, he is the biggest example of why Shadow has these powers, I know the comics aren't really seen in any sort of spotlight but you can't ignore that they happened and it's valuable information.

The Sonic powers up don’t really count bc Sonic can’t do those things own his own they were either given to him or being forced out and he doesn’t keep those powers from none of the games they are temporarily
I just wanted to use it as an example of his final forms and what shadow might have as a final form, and it being a one time thing due to the events :)
Poor Shadow already has a collection of mental illnesses such as PTSD, Amnesia, depression, selective mutism, anxiety and so on. What else?I except we'll learn that's not all he got.
Anyway, I think the full transformation will be similar to the lupine Sonic's tranformation from unleashed, very feral. Shadow will lose part if not all of his cuteness to look more like a beast. I believe he will not end as sane as Sonic. But after all, unlike Sonic, Shadow is and has always been a psychological character. Mind games over brute force.
I wonder if there's more to this than the whole "Maria Arc" timeline? We still don't have much of a clue what happened after Maria released Shadow to earth, did something else happen to make things worse? 🤔And I would LOVE to see that! a big Shadow monster! Ahhhh! I can't wait to see what we get!!
"Lose his cuteness"... nah, that ain't it, fam. 😅 He should remain pleasing to the eye in design. Turning him into some kind of grunge hulking mass monster would suck so much BUTT! I'm sorry. I want him to look cool and do cool stuff. I want to come back and play this game and look forward to future games, if possible.
I have a dark past around the sonic generations, not because I didn't like the game, it's because fate doesn't want me to play this game! I bought it twice for Xbox 360 and to this day I still haven't mastered Sonic Generations... It's been 8 years since I've been trying to find a way to play Sonic Generations, I hope the remastered version lets me play and nothing stops me until then! =D (btw, loved the video! Really cool edit style!)

To me it feels like we’re going to Metroid dread territory (not the plot or gameplay) but evolution of samus metriod dna instinct kicking giving her Metroid suit. Is this going to be the same thing with shadow because black doom is somehow a live his alien black blood will react?
You know what, what is an amazing example! I completely forgot that happened and the two examples fit so well. And if it is similar, I can't wait! I love what they did with Samus in Dread. I think maybe something will happen to cause his Doom DNA to kick in and that's when we'll start seeing changes.

Edit: You know what? On second thought, I kinda agree. 😅 The wings don't really make sense since he can already fly kinda. Also, after this video, I'm a little scared they might make him into a Alex Mercer/ Venom type character.
Well I took some time to ponder on my theories and look into it a bit more and you know what? It probably will be a one time thing. These powers were never a thing until black doom came back, and since everything that will go down in the game, he most likely will lose those powers once he defeats Black Doom. I think that Doom awakened his inner DNA of some sort and this created these new abilities for Shadow. Without it though, he's just Shadow.
