technically sound... yes the suicide doors are supercar doors...
awsome content keeps getting better "don't stop"
Tesla take note, thats how you do a premium minimalist interior
I prefer Tesla’s interior.
@@ObeidaHamish I find Polestar did a much better job here, still love Tesla though
@@ObeidaHamish My problem is the amount of money you pay for a Tesla, I want the interior to feel special. And Tesla's just don't, its too drab and boring, they should take a leaf from Polestar here, or Audi (the best car interiors in my opinion)
As a tesla model X owner I agree. If you're going to do minimalist let it look and feel luxurious
I love Tesla’s interior, but this is just absolutely stunning, better than anything I could really imagine
Your videos are quite concise; you just earned one more subscriber. You need not change or modify your presentations. They are spot on
This is the first electric car that makes me excited for the future of EV’s, WAY more special than any Tesla. Interior is a masterpiece 🤌
Rofl. So… do you want the red pill or the blue pill?
@@MidnightSoulDevourer 🙄
So a concept car without any stats for power and range and no new features is the first EV to get you excited? Facepalm.
@@MuppetsSh0w well I’m going to be bold and assume it’s going to perform well. Nice try though 🥱 👋
I see you’ve chosen the blue pill- blissful ignorance!
I really like your way of presenting cars, Rory ! Good job !
I don't care much for cars, but i worked on a commercial for this and sitting in it... It felt like I was in the future. Epic design.
Looks really nice! Not overly fond of the exterior “plate” on the front roof (hope they incorporate that in the car better with the final product) but I do like how the car looks overall. Also the sustainability aspects are worth a big thumbs up in my opinion.👍
ya they could and should do a much better job incorporating the electronic equipment than that...pretty slap dash if you ask me.
Since its lidar sensors they need to be mounted like that. Perhaps they can make it streamlined but a hump is required. volvo will have it on all future cars and my guess is that polestar will do the same with their future models
What a great job they’ve done. Hats off to Polestar
I often tip polestars with singles
An extremely excellent video my friend. Quite informative and executed with a wordsmith-like eloquence. Hats off!
It hits you that the Precept is in a league if it's own when the video cuts to regular cars. Impressive.
I just got my plaid, if they have a good charging network in the future then this is something to consider for sure!
Beautiful concept, they should do one without the rear doors, would look better as a coupe
this door opening is very practical specially in tight parking space 😂
It depends how strong they are , they might push the other cars away 😂
You can just call the car out :/
Given how many sensors the car has I expect they'll open the right amount if there's something in the way.
"Polestar is a Swedish automotive brand established in 1996 by Volvo Cars' partner Flash/Polestar Racing and acquired in 2015 by the former."
Hardly a startup after 25 years of existence, wouldn't you say?
Exactly !!
Yeah and no matter the years of existence it's now a Volvo/Geely subsidiary...
Come on it's not like anybody heard of polestar before the last three years. Even today most people literally do not know that they exist as a car manufacturer.
@@ccllvn I heard of Polestar over 10 years ago. But regardless. Whether people know them or not, that doesn't make them a startup. They're an established company 25 years old. It's like calling a 25 year old person a newborn.
@@uleertel How is that relevant to anything?
A lot of car manufacturers own other ones, partly or fully. And most of the time it's a way to keep a brand going and not crumbling under debt and shutting down. Like Saab for example.
Me having worked for 10 years at Volvo Cars, I must admit, this is a killer design to future proof the brand and technology.
Really glad to hear that you are a Volvo employeee

“I feel this is the car that Batman would drive…if he went vegan” lol
stunning ryde! We are witnessing a remarkable time in automobile design. Lucid Air, Tesla, Porsche, EQS Merc...etc. Fascinating times! I disagree with many manufacturers building in those numerous motors for door handles and doors themselves. More weight and more to go wrong down the road. IF and when I decide to give up my stunning 2008 JagXJ, I may well go EV.
Bravo Polestar, very well thought out. We’ve had our T8 for four years now and its been great. I can’t wait to see the Polestar lineup expanded with other models.
Looks dope to be honest, clean and made out of recyclable products, that we waste. Great to see the stuff we waste is being re-used
These companies need to stop playing with people's expectations and actually make these concept cars a reality! I for one would love to drive this car !
Imagine opening these doors in a Tesco carpark.
Exactly. Impractical for aesthetics.
@@Wunderkinddd I think they would have thought about that, I wonder if they have sensors to open without object hitting.
@@Wunderkinddd strongly disagree with you about the different hinges ( dihedral or lambo would work as well but im not super sure there the better pick overall for this model ) and having no b-pillar's as loading and getting into and out are easier than conventional b-pliersed sedans
Bloody hell, this is an art piece!
I love that so many cars are coming with panoramic glass roofs, this is an absolute must have IMO.. makes the cabin such a nice place to be and gives the cars a sporty look on the exterior
Unless you live in the desert.
Or have dogs and you don't want it warmer. Oh, I forgot. EV's are not meant for having dogs. :D
I love the look when they drop the B pillar, however it never makes it into production because of how horrible they perform on side impact crash tests
The i3 works, but that's a much shorter car.
I'm not an engineer but couldn't they reinforce the bottom and top?
@@catinthehat5140 in principal, maybe. The reality of engineering these things is always a bit complicated and gets expensive
The might be able to do something similar to Mercedes where the car raises up on air suspension just before a crash so the lower bar can take the brunt of the impact.

Grate video. Just the right mix of informing and entertaining.
This looks simply amazing. Every week there's a fantastic new electric car, and that's really good for everyone.
Negative sounds! 🤣
Depends if Polestar/Volvo sell emission credits like Tesla does. It's pretty good for them, they make a lot of money from these. And the local factory that gets to spill more carbon in the air. For you, not so much.
This is TRUE sustainability. Great work by Polestar

I'm kinda getting sold on these EVs. But i still love the sound of my gasoline engine
I'm in pretty much the same situation. It's funny, I was playing a video game last week, and one race had an electric car with two gears. And it was really fast, but... ah, the thrill was not there.
For now I'd rather have an electric motor added to my AMG. Give me 100km range for daily commute and let me have my ICE for when I want to have fun.
And I don't even have something special, like a Lambo or a Ferrari. Going from that to an electric car must be so disappointing.
Record it and play it back on the stereo when driving your EV :). I agree, though, nothing beats the growl of a decent V8. I wish they were further with e-fuels..
@@nevarran I drove a tesla 3 last week and Im sold. Its not like a normal car and Im getting one. Ill keep my Mercedes cabriolet though but I know it wont be for long. This car is the most beautiful I have seen. The tesla is average looking but the way it gets around is something else. I know I dont care about the sound. The Tesla sounds like a space ship and a lot faster than anything that makes a noise.
@@travis8665 Must drive like an F1 to convince me to buy a Tesla. Sadly the sound is half the fun for me, so it's unlikely to happen.
You can still have it. Called a sound generator, even the VW Passat PHEV has it. Also... "me like car go vroom vroom" is not exactly an intelligent argument when we're talking about stopping catastrophic climate change. Just saying.
We will see what actually ships... First thing I thought about the doors is how practical they are when you are parked next to other cars. Oh, and LiDAR....
Yep, particularly in UK parking spaces….
Can probs park and reverse via an app.
Rolls Royce uses such doors. They work.
@@B4R0N. Haven't seen a Rolls parked in a tight spot ever
Wouldn’t they work just like normal doors? Except that you exit forward and to the side from the back?
I've got the facelift Polestar 2 on order (delivery October), but THIS is what I actually crave
Come on Polestar I need to see the production version!
Looks absolutely stunning!!!
What a beautiful car! I love it! This is quite daring and futuristic in a tasteful way. Merc EQS looks gaudy in comparison. At first look, there is no part of this car that I do not like.
It’s one of them cars you look at and think wow you hope they make it your hope someone brings a concept to fruition love the interior look
amazing ,simple and beautiful, very like exterior, plenty space inside, only one problem-all electric cars only affordable for rich peoples normal worker can only afford electric bicycle!!!!!
I’m sure when they say the finished product will be pretty damn close to this concept, they mean it’ll have like 10% of these design touches and features.
We've had some crazy designs coming to production lately. But yeah, they'll change a lot of things for sure.
I honestly believe them. By not having for example an engine, engineers and designers aren't as limited as they are on ice cars. Look at the Ioniq 5 or the Kia EV6. They look like concept cars, although being production ready. This is an aspect that gets me really hyped concerning electrification
@@pukelbag but also look at the lexus lc 500, which looks exactly the same as its concept and has a 5.0L
volvo doesnt work like most manufacturers dude
@@pukelbag It ain't the engine that prevents you from making a wacky looking car. It's usually production cost, and safety regulations. That massive glass roof, for example, could it drop on your head during a crash? This kind of stuff.
Rory, well done Sir thank you for this presentation, I thoroughly enjoyed it. This vehicle is everything an electric luxury car should be and more the fit and finish is something to behold and those suicide doors......
It is damn gorgeous. No doubt. Love the lights too.
Doubt the final form will be this cool. Also highly doubt they’ll have one giant sunroof unless they split the front windshield. Imagine getting a chip and having to pay for the whole screen…
Hope they produce these soon so we get more EV races
According to head of design, Max, the precept is going to production pretty much as you see it today.
The most stunning electric promise to date.
Beautiful automobile, great presentation. Thank you very much for an informative video.
I would go electric for this car, everything is stunning
Looks like a modern version of a Citroen C6. Especially from the front/side angle.
😂😂 il faut regarder bien, parce que la, c'est plutôt Citroën qui copie pas mal de choses sur Polestar.
My thoughts exactly
La c6 en tenue 2025.
Wow, stunning design. Very nice.
Does the pod on the roof light up with the word TAXI?? Jokes aside, this thing looks great!!
"Small startup" - Owned by Volvo and Geely holdings (China)
Add to the fact that Polestar was established in 1996.
Polestar is 95% engineered by swedes, I've been to the office in Gothenburg and indeed know the people behind this masterpiece. On the other hand it will be produced in China (international) for cost efficiency etc.
Finally a truly wicked concept car that you can actually buy!!

"The car Batman would drive if he went vegan"
Ironically it reminds me of the batmobile from Batman Beyond!
Outstanding presentation! Well done!
If it looks like that in the production model I'll eat my own hair.
Especially the doors
it wont
There's not even the slightest chance the production version will look like that.
The doors on an i3 are the same albeit it’s a much smaller car
Polestar leading the way in EV design! I'm so sick of every other car coming out being an SUV without SUV capabilities, just because that's the easy way to fit the batteries in! Battery technology isn't anywhere near where it needs to be and to be truly environmentally friendly, we need to put more investment into tech such as carbon electrode so we can ditch the Li-Ion batteries. Although I like the idea of Hydrogen cell, it isn't the solution.
this is the most beautiful car i have ever seen! hope they can pull it off
It is a super car, not sure if an average buyer could even afford this, but surely so, this is so much prettier than a Ferrari or Tesla or even Porche
