I've been a Journey fan for 40 years, but only the Steve Perry version. This is the first time another artist has done a cover that I will actually listen to and fully enjoy. Amazing!!

I've never heard this song covered so beautifully. Teddy knows how to make someone FEEL the music.
WTF? I am a Journey fan and have seen them on their Escape tour and Frontiers tour. I have never felt anyone has come close to personalizing this song with heart and soul... until now! I have no idea who this singer is or anything about him, but I just became a new fan! It's not about karaoke, it's about bringing your personal feel and emotion to the song and Teddy has been, IMHO, the only singer I have ever heard to do that.
I just discovered this and I am freaking out 😂 ITS SO GOOD!!! 'bed on fire' is also one of my top favorite songs ever!

We may not have been born then, but some of us old souls would rather jam to the classics over a lot of the new tunes today. Old School just had WAY more soul magic to it before it became about fame, rigged ratings, the money etc. Back then the artist cared more about putting the depth of their creative essence into it and you can definitely tell the difference.

Have to admit..I wasn't sure what to expect. When you cover a classic like this one.. it's hard not to be overshadowed by the original. I am pleasantly surprised. You did your thing without overdoing it, stayed true to the heart of the original track and it sounds pretty freaking good man.
Hardly... The heart of the original song is that it goes from simple balladesque quickly to power rock and doesn't return. This rendition never finds the original heart, regardless of his capable voice.

Journey has always been one of my favorite bands growing up. Saw them in Columbus Ohio last year. Didn’t think I would like the concert without Steve Perry but Arnel did a great job. After hearing Teddy Swims sing this version of “Don’t stop believin“ I was blown away. The mixture of the piano, guitar and his vocals is awesome. This man and his talent should go far.
Honestly I have never EVER been disappointed by anything Teddy has sung. I cannot say that very often. Dude is a straight up treasure.
The only thing that could make this cover better is watching you sing it, you have such a overwhelming presence when you sing🥰

WOW...this song always takes me back to 1981...my friend was 17 and I was 21 went to wallingford conn for a week to see Sha Na Na, for a total of 9 shows at the Oak Dale Music Theatre...it was a small venue, holding only 3000 people. The stage revolved...every seat was awesome...and it was a life experience I will never forget...when I hear this song it brings me right back to that time...before life became complicated. Teddy your version is just as good as it was back then...thank you your voice is definately a gift, thank you for sharing.
