We've definitely been through a lot together and learned to trust each other during this journey. They still make me crazy sometimes but they're my family and I'll always put them first. Thanks for your support!
Okay. I think I'm all caught up with your journey. This is an amazing country. Really enjoy watching the geography change and meeting all the people who are helping you along the trail. Watch out for the weather ahead. Thanks for an amazing trip.
Olive oil. When I was 17, I’m 72 now, old Mrs. Davis taught me to use olive oil on all my saddles and tack. Heated up and it penetrates faster. She had gaited horses at the stable we were at. She must’ve been 90. She was very quiet and humble, and she gave the best advice. I wish everyone had the opportunity to spend time with someone who spent a lifetime with horses. And then spend your lifetime while the horses teach you more.
Again, learning new things. Did not know the history of the Wade saddle and found it most interesting. I feel like my brain gets bigger every time I watch one of your videos. 😊
When you get to north central Illinois I sure would like to run into you. The map you shared of your route is north of me. I could drive to a place you stay and say hello if that would be ok. Stay safe and God Bless Jake and his horses. Amen
Tom Dorance is a legend! I study his way for many years and ending up Working for Chris Cox for a season! Wade saddles are amazing! I’m a leather craftsman so if you need any thing when passing by Wisconsin I’d love to help! I’m about a hour from the Illinois boarder! I really enjoy your journey and video!
Sounds like your what in Beloit ? Anyways I think it’s super cool your a leather craftsman. Such a timeless treasure. Do you sell anything you make ? I’m originally from Green Bay trying to get home from Florida. Super cool videos huh !!
Hey that saddle maker should give you a couple of saddles ,, that’s good advertisement for them that you rode one across the country I figured you would be riding some custom 8 k rig , I’m impressed
Hello Jake! Interesting info on your saddle! It sure must be comfortable to service you for so many miles! Hope you enjoy traveling Ohio! Love from Pennsylvania. 💕🌷🐻
beautiful horses for sure. I am not to far from massillon, glad your finding places to stay. thank you for sharing some of the video of what your doing and the scenery.
Thanks for showing us how to take care of your saddle. Olive oil is useful for many things. I've used it to remove glue from a metal file cabinet that had nasty old stickers on it when nothing else worked. 🙂 I love your mission and your horses. I used to own half Arab horses when I was in my teens. No money for them now. So it's great to watch you.
Hi Jake, I missed your leaving New Jersey. So glad you visited my state . I am in the northwest side of New Jersey Warren County. I am 15 minutes from Easton PA. I am praying for you and your horses that you will have good weather and safe travel back to Utah. God bless you and your beautiful mustangs. Love from Stewartsville New Jersey ❤
Wow, Corriente never would have thought they made a wade I’ve had a few of their trophy saddles , I rode one for a long time , it served me well , they are a budget saddle but they seem good,,
It's blazing hot and humid in Indiana right now so I'm looking forward to eventually hitting some cooler weather. But careful whatcha wish for, right? 😂
I'm from Fort Worth, lol. We hide from the heat, working early or late when we can. But the cold up north scares me. I'm afraid I'd freeze lol. @jakeharvath best wishes on your adventure.
When the boys have needed a vet I just find one local to where we are. I'm a farrier so do the hoof care myself. I can usually hook up with a local farrier to borrow a forge and if not then I've just cold-shoed.
It may be a bit cooler if you got a cut and shave. But if your all good then I’m all good !!! So I can’t host you guys even tho I’d love you but can i sponsor you financially for a night then? Thanks for the amazing ride !!’ ❤
You're right but I actually made a deal with myself that I wouldn't get a shave or a haircut for the entire Year of the Mustang journey. Plus, it will keep me warm once I hit cold weather. If you'd like to help is financially that would be very appreciated. You can donate on our website www.yearofthemustang.com or at gofund.me/35424728
@@jakeharvath awesome ! And geez I’ve forgotten the cold of the winter being stuck in Florida until I can make it home to Wisconsin!! And most definitely I’ll hit that site. Man- I wish I could put you guys up for the night and meet y’all but perhaps some other time. Thanks for responding and the vid ! ❤️🐴
@@jakeharvath well you should be around “ my neck of the woods “ around now. It’s such a beautiful time but those dang bugs are terrible now. Hang in there they’ll die off soon. I just love what your doing for the Mustang breed. I have some serious questions about the BLM and super interested in what you’d have to say but I can save that until your back home and settled. I’m so jealous your coming up on the most beautiful time of the year and I sure hope your able to enjoy it !! And payday tomorrow- whoop whoop :) ❤️💯🐴🙏
@@jakeharvathI prefer long hair, you might decide to keep it who knows? But you are smart to grow out your facial hair because you are saving yourself from sun damage! Curious as to how much your saddle weighs and how to you handle having it get soaked during this trip? Or do you have a rain cover for it? I ride in an Italian treeless saddle. I bought it new in 2000 for my wide draft X. Still looks and feels great, I never get sore. And it fits any horse being treeless. Anyone who has sat it has agreed, it is THE most comfortable saddle. Italian leather is the best. It only weighs 8 lbs, it’s more of an endurance saddle, but plenty of padding. Real sheepskin pad. I like treeless also because I can feel the horse better. Really enjoying your journey!
I have two Corriente saddles, one of them is my lifetime favorite. I’ve been riding 54 years.
You have a bond with Denver and Eddy that can never be replaced. Love this story.

Thank you Jake for bringing attention to such a great cause. Safe travels and happy trails. A big thank you to all that support him along the way
I don't understand why you have so few subscribers. It is very interesting to see where you go.

I did a weekend clinic in Virginia with Chris Cox back in the early 2000s. Learned a lot.
Do you make saddles yourself?
Darn! You were so close and I didn't know! You blessed our state with your presence, Jake. Be well.

😊 Great Endorsement for Corriente. They are affordable brand new saddles. I ❤ my ol Hamley formfitter
Love to see it! Thanks for another awesome video!🎉
I used to live in Wayne county would drive right threw down town Wooster coming back from Lodi with my horse and buggy
fun to watch your journey. Is your YEAR of the Mustang gonna turn in the the TWO YEAR of the Mustang????
It was 44 this morning here at home.
Going to be cold when he gets home.

How have you endured not getting saddle sore??. Even the best of the best cowboys get saddle sore.
Hey any cryipted sightings while you were out there!?
Not yet.
Your horse’s know more about the world they live on than most horses will ever know. So by now the other horses must seem stupid when they act silly.
Ha, ha, I never really thought about it that way.
