The legacy you can have is the absolute biggest and not even comparable to other clubs. Every Madrid Legend is a football legend. The only reason we even try to debate Messi and Ronaldo is because he played for Madrid. If that was swapped? The debate would’ve ended after Messi’s 4th Ballon d’Or. That’s how big Madrid is compared to every other club. And like it or not, and I do not like to say it but same for Barcelona almost, although in a much lesser degree. If you think you’re the best, you have to test yourself in Madrid or Barcelona.
One champions league in Madrid is worth 10 for your legacy. One league title is worth 10, one Ballon d’Or is worth 20 because you’re with way better players. Again begrudgingly, same almost goes for Barcelona.

Every group, community, or organization have some form of government, and form of government must have check and balances. All things been equal, if teams are allowed to pump capital or money into their clubs, it will easily erode the goal of competition in the league. What the premier league is doing is very important. Football without proper competition will certainly become boring. Consider Man City for instance, they have been winning the league consistently only not only because they have a great coach, but the cheating of the system steaming from financial fraud. Man City has high quality players and they add top level players each season. None of the other teams have been able to challenge them. I advise that premier league keeps the check and balances to maintain proper systems of government in the league.
